    You created a beautiful look with this palette, Sara! The pink and coral shades on the eyes are such a pretty accent with the lovely pink blazer you’re wearing. You definitely showed how these festive colors can work. The blush is also stunning on, and so perfect for spring and summer.

      It’s interesting how Chanel managed to make a light blue that’s so wearable. Dior just released a blue palette that’s part of their plan de Paris collection and I have been going back and forth between the color stories but I have a specific blue eye look in mind that I’d love to create so I just purchased the blue palette for a review. Although I know most influencers purchased the blue palette I haven’t seen anyone create the look I have in mind just yet. I hope you’ll watch the upcoming review and let me know what you think 🥰

    As mentioned previously I did go into my Chanel Boutique today and got both shadows and blush duo. I decided to pass on both hi lighters BUT I did get a Chanel hi lighter called White Opal. It is beautiful and without glitter just gorgeous opal essence. It has white/pink/blue shift that is Amazing and more subtle than the Spring hi lighters. I am 68 years young and will feel elegant wearing it!!🥰. Thank you for 2 lovely reviews on this launch. BTW ladies the blush duo is a soft mat finish but with the white opal hi lighter over it is knock out gorgeous. 😊

      I drove 200 miles yesterday to my closest boutique beauty store and picked up the last Rivage shadow palate, the coral palate, the blush, two lipsticks, and a new brush. I wasn’t going to buy the coral palate until the lovely beauty expert did my eyes . The coral palate made my blue eyes pop. I would have thought the colors would intensify my blood shot eyes(don’t know why they’ve always been bloodshot), but instead it brought out the blue of my eyes. I’m sold on the Spring collection. I do wish I had not bought the new highlighter sight unseen because it may be too glittery for my young 75 year old face. BTW, the Chanel staff were floored when I told them my age and they were asking ME what I’ve done to have a more youthful skin. Believe me, my skin care journey started at about age 15 when I’d make my own face mask of egg yolk, lemon and honey followed by Vaseline under my eyes every night. We had no masks back then, eye cream or sunblock for that matter.

    Love this palette, too! I am planning to purchase both of the eye palettes from this collection and skip the rest-especially since I already picked up most of the Les Beiges collection and the other latest Eclat de Nuit. I also picked up three of the Tisse collection and the classic matte quad since it does indeed appear that they might discontinue/reformulate.

      @@SaraElBaffI had to drive 200 miles to get my hands on the last Rivage palette. I’d been checking online for the past month and it was sold out BEFORE the official launch date which is not really fair for those of us who want to purchase it. I kept thinking they’d have more but not yet. When the Seattle boutique still had ONE, I drove from Portland to buy it. My local Chanel, at Nordstrom, still has not seen the Spring collection at their store. I like to buy locally but when Nordstrom doesn’t even get any of the collection it seems I might be having to make that 200 mile trip whenever a new collection comes out that I like.

    Such a pretty look, Sara. I might get both quads. They both great for summer.i was wondering can you use this quad as blush as well. I don’t have nothing coral, I think🤔but too many pinks, and just got 2 blushes from les beiges - pink and mauve. And La Pausa one. Not sure that I need, but look# so beautiful😂 I was wondering how this quad compare to Chanel tweed fauve ?Have a blessed day🙏❤️

    • @SaraElBaff
      @SaraElBaff  8 месяцев назад +1

      I think the eyeshadows are far too small for a brush to pick up the product so it might be difficult to use as a blush, I also feel it will be too pigmented although you can always sheer it out. I personally love playing around with makeup products and believe there is no true right or wrong way of using a product. If you want to skip the blush in this collection Dior is coming out with gorgeous luminous highlighters that double as blushes and there is going to be a coral shade. If you have far too many powder products I’d suggest you opt for the upcoming Dior highlights. I personally am excited to try them and will have a review up once they’re available. As for comparing tweed fauve to this palette I think coral treasure is much more cooler in tone whereas tweed fauve is darker and is better suited for a fall and winter type of makeup look. I hope that helps 💕

    Sara, I bet you were dreading my comment! Just to explain, I've been extremely artistic my entire life in many fields, so I'm fairly set in my ways about how I feel when it comes to certain colours, well most actually. Although, when Prada launched their new Eye Palettes last year with blue, pink, orange etc. as pops of colour in each palette, I was there for it and love them all. I'm afraid that in my decades of using Chanel, this has to be the most incohesive and mashed up Quad that I've witnessed them release. I love orange shades - very much so and pink shades too, to a slightly lesser extent. I simply can't mix the two of them together. You could have saved all of that money and simply used the Blush and added a pink shimmer to the centre. I just felt that it was out of place with the rest of the collection being based on cool-tones. Even the Highlighter had a blue tint. I have absolutely no issue with what anyone wants to wear, it's only how I personally felt about this collection. I didn't feel that much thought had gone into it, to bring all the pieces together as a cohesive unit, that's all. I'd be the biggest hypocrite ever if I stated I disliked pinks after purchasing Pat McGrath's Motherships in Divine Rose I, II, Huetopian Dream and Sunlit Seduction just recently. I simply won't be wearing the pinks with orange. Since seeing Blue Rivage come out, I'm surprised at how many blue shadows I keep remembering I have! There will always be some colours I like better than others, yet all of my life I have never had a favourite colour. There are so many that are so beautiful that I couldn't possibly choose. Please don't take any offence to how my mind views colour, to how you choose to use it. It's everyone's prerogative to do their own thing. Just as long as you're happy.
    From what I can remember of Dior's original Popeline and Organza, they leaned more to pink with Popeline and more to peach with Organza (which was how they were labelled back then) . That's probably why I wasn't as excited when these ones were released. It's strange to understand why the large Fashion Houses can't clean up their cosmetics and keep great formulas like basic Indie Brands do. As much as I love my luxury make-up, I will always love Lethal Cosmetics too, due to their brilliant formula, shades and being 100% vegan. If small Indie Brands can achieve such great products, why is it so hard for the big luxury Maisons? Even after Dior started reformulating, they were only achieving up to 95% clean. What's the point in reformulation if they can't reach 100% first time around? They've lost many customers along the way too. Not everyone is happy with their favourite products being changed. I'm a collector of their Backstage Eye Palettes and was furious when they didn't just change the formula, yet the entire colour stories. Be prepared for Amber Neutrals and Rosewood Neutrals to be next on the chopping block as they are next to be changed. Not just the formula, yet totally new colour stories. It wouldn't hurt Dior to keep this very popular regular line of basic palettes and simply bring out new colour stories to add on, whilst reformulating the older palettes. The Cool and Warm Neutrals, which they've cut from the Line, will never be seen again, despite being lovely, soft palettes. Not everyone wants bright, shimmery shadows. This range was known for being subtle and easily wearable. Goodness knows what will come next. I picked up the new Smoky Essentials but haven't had the strength to try it yet. I'm worried that they may have destroyed them.😢
    As for Chanel, I haven't heard anything, yet it wouldn't surprise me that they will want to keep up with everyone else. Burberry have just released four new basic Quads, which you'll love, although it was about time they updated their line. Most will take one look at Burberry's palettes and think they're boring. To me, the are classy, stylish and wearable. You can tell that Burberry and I have a special relationship.🥰 The big Fashion Houses will always lag behind the Indie Brands and can never hope to give us the consistent quality that many do. I would recommend you take a peek at Givenchy's Eye Palettes when next in a store. They look completely different on the lids to how they do in photos or in the palettes. After trying one Givenchy Eye Palettes, I was in love and have collected them all. Again, stylish, classy and wearable. They can be built up, as can most shadows, yet these are a dream just as they are! Have you every tried the 18-pan Byredo Palettes? These are truly a dream and amongst my favourites. We still have the last Byredo Rememberance Palette available here (from last year), so if you like it, I wouldn't wait!
    Sorry about the long essay! I'm glad you liked your collection and that's all that matters.🇦🇺👩🏼‍🎨💖

      I always look forward to your comments as they are very insightful! There’s no denying that there has been repetition in the beauty industry. Most times they are falling short of the unique touch that we covet in our products. I skipped the highlighter because it has been repeated too many times and I’m also looking forward to the liquid highlighters from Dior. I’ll have to check out the Givenchy eye palettes. I do think their lip glosses are beautiful so I’m sure the palettes equally are as well. This year has been one release after the other when it comes to makeup products so let’s see what else is in store for the beauty world. Thank you Nathalie 🥰 you are so kind. I think Chanel is trying to think outside of the box but ultimately we do all love the classic looks from Chanel. I’m really curious for the next release, it surely cannot be another Les beiges collection since we already just had one for the winter…

      @@nathaliejiron4609 Yes! I just told Sara a few video's ago how beautiful she is. She looks great whatever she uses. You're right about this Quad looking more editorial. I've never seen anything like this before in my time buying Chanel. It surprised me so much with the Byzance Collection of Quads last year, that I bought them all, as they were so unusual for Chanel. Yet, they did exude much more elegance, only a tad more colour in two of the Quads. As Sara mentioned at the start, it's easy to split this Quad into the orange and pink sides, yet that defeats the purpose of the palette. I felt it strange that they released the Eclat de Nuit and the L/E Eye-liner by themselves, then waited before bringing out the rest. With this Quad and Blush, it threw off the entire theme to the collection. I like order and items that belong together. In my opinion, these didn't have any sense of order. The first swatches that I saw of the Blush and this Quad, shown both inside and in daylight, there wasn't a difference between the two blush tone's and the Quad. With the cost of living continuing to rise, you'd think that the luxury brands would take more care in what they release as it's very easy for us to turn away during these times. Dior is learning it's lesson after these reformulations and playing around with much loved products, like my Backstage Eye Palettes! Others are turning away too after not liking how their favourite products have changed. I'm not the only one very upset that Burberry didn't even release a Holiday Collection last year! That certainly was a shock. We look forward to these things and our memories can be long. I can only hope that Chanel puts the brakes on and cease with rushing out these endless releases. It's too many, especially so soon after Christmas. I can probably guarantee that another release will be out at Easter, which is when this release should have launched. After becoming extremely embarrassed by how much make-up I own, I'm going on my first low-buy this year. There are extreme exceptions, but not many. I need to use the many beautiful items I own and concentrate on them. It won't be easy, but I'll do my best.💖

    • @krisushi1
      @krisushi1 8 месяцев назад +1

      @@SaraElBaff You're always so kind. Whilst you look at Givenchy, they may still have some left over L/E Luminisors from Christmas that are liquid and bought for myself. I've only ever used either powder or the Baume Essentials, yet was surprised at how beautiful the icy-pink Givenchy was. The Bronze shade was too dark for a Highlighter, but can be used as a Bronzer, underneath foundation, a lipstick by itself or on top of another.... etc. The first releases of the year should normally be before Easter, not this early. The size of both the Dior and Chanel was surprisingly large too. I picked a good year for my low-buy!
      I do like that you don't push out video's like many others do. This way, we are more interested in interacting with others when not rushed. It means that you're not rushed or overwhelmed and neither are we with our lives. Once a week is a good timeline. I look forward more to videos that aren't pushed out for the sake of it. It's something to look forward to. I'm sure we'll all have your community thriving in no time. More educated and well presented Content Creators like yourself are desperately needed. I never veer towards channels that are so full that no-one knows each other and the Creator doesn't even feel the need to communicate with their subscribers. That's not for me. Being a rather young looking 55yrs, the last thing I need is some arrogant young girl with too much money and no make-up application skills attempt to tell me what to do. That's not a community, but a dictatorship! I enjoy the interaction and of course, the video. Keep doing what you are, as you're a rarity being so well spoken and a nicely presented young woman. Best of luck and look forward to what you have in store next.💖

      The best thing is to ask yourself. I had a query for Dior about future products in regards to the reformulations and received my answer directly from them. It's been quite awhile since Chanel has changed its line, just a matter of business for updates to occur. Burberry has just updated their Eye Palettes. I'm dubious unless I hear it from the source. One You Tuber heard of Dior changing its Quints, (when the reformulations were speculated) and put out a video urging everyone to buy up the older formula in case the new one was worse. We don't need panic like this. It's only make-up and there is plenty of it about!💖
