Happy to see someone that seems to understand racing, reviewing a racing game. These kinds of games often get covered by folks that don't understand what they're looking for, even saying that they don't care about cars right in the review.

IMO people like his accent and funny comments. But as a rally sim review it's extremely shallow. Not a word about handling, physics, performance, wheel or vr support.

True! The genre has two AAA games, no online community problems or orientations, and it's not dependant on lore or past games. It's amazing

If they only knew how much fun and rewarding it is when u play manual handbrake turn and flow state drive around while watching RUclips on yiur nintendo switch at the same time.
cmon guys ign deserves praise too. They managed to woo this reviewer into their platform after all. The glaring omission however is steering and vr supports
It does support steering wheels, but it seems like it's only the super expensive Fanatec ones.
If WRC added VR, I'd legit buy it and whatever console is needed/download EGS just to play it.
And the Switch version which looks horrific. Look it up, it's jaw droppingly awful looking.

Curious about if anything's changed with the Dualsense on this one. WRC9 was fantastic on PS5, might be my favourite use of the haptics so far.
It feels on par with that. The sounds coming out of the speaker can overpower the pace notes, though. It only seems to happen on certain changes of surfaces but there's no way to completely turn it off. I've had to turn it down a little on the PS5 settings to hear my co-driver.

Gran Turismo 7 should've learned all those examples from WRC 8 to 10.
Forgot to mention WRC10 introduced player CoDriver option, where 2 ppl can play with on as the driver and the other reading actual pacenotes in time.

Love the fans crowding the stages in historic rallies 8) srsly you peeps were/are crazy! But would be even better if option to crank it up and get those crazy masses of people waving and getting out of way at last second you see in old GrpB vids.
The crowd looks 2d in this game. They need to better textures before they even attempt that

Do the WRC cars handle almost exactly the same as each other, like in WRC 9? Do NPC characters that you hired still disappear between sessions and rallyes?
At least the graphics look a tiny bit better than last year, so the game almost looks modern.

This is perfect for someone like me getting into the new age of gaming. My last racing game was GTA3 for the ps2
For me my last racing game was WRC 9. THE 2ND BEST WRC GAME ONLY BEHIND WRC5 RALLY EVOLVED.
For me it was NFS Hot Pursuit almost 20 years ago haha. Looking forward to this one

Have they removed the windscreen tint,wrc 9 was unplayable at dusk or night in cockpit mode because all the windscreens were too dark

bought this on ps4 and it keeps crashing, downloaded the update and it still crashes, WHY ?
idk if the co driver mode was thier when you reviewed this game but that alone makes it worth it

what’s the difference with the dirt series?
This is the official game of the racing series World Rally Championship. Think of it the Fifa or Madden for Rally. While Dirt is real Rally cars that aren't part of the current WRC season with fictional races.

Minor mistakes? It's stuffed full of massive design blunders ranging from audio to 3D car models, graphics (outdated), graphical optimisation, peripheral support, physics/handling (every pre-1995 legendary car is completely inaccurate) and so much more.

It's very flawed on the PS5 version keeps crashing when you finish a track all the time
@@markszczepanski5293 Are they not mentioning performance. Again. Sorry but this has to stop. Why is it so difficult for a professional reviewer not to mention technical performance. Frame rate, screen tearing and slowdown have all been reported

WRC 10 for me is 9.5 of 10 along with WRC 8 and 9.
Would have been nice to know how it stacks up against DiRT rally as it's main competitor, as just going by visuals and overall polish DiRT seems to be miles ahead

Something that always bothers me is that the roads tend to be too wide all the time, look at wrc footage and the tracks can get really narrow so an improvement?
Dunno about this one but some segments in past couple WRC games have been narrow af

Always a fantastic review Luke, but a multi platform title like this needs to be at least looked at on the other machines its available on. Series X owners know what they will get, but nobody else does?
What features does the PC allow you to play with? How is the experience if you are playing on an older system such as Xbox one? Has haptic feedback been added to the PS5 version and if so, how does it feel?
As thorough as the rest of your review is, with no testing or even a talk through of features on other platforms, its merely half a review. This is a huge shame as it severely undermines the fantastic analysis you have given of the gameplay elements, but anyone not on Series X will need to go and check a review that actually considers the platform its running on.
We don't want WRC 11...just give the license to Codemasters earlier

Sounds like I'll just wait till it's on a discount, otherwise, it seems pointless if you've already played the previous versions.
The car models just look so terrible and bland, unlike literally any other racing game from 10 years ago.

Career mode menu looks exactly the same, they only added tires. Driving feels a bit worst for me compared to WRC9. Same with performance. It freezes for a 2 seconds often and graphics looks a bit worst, (popping and aliasing, very high settings on both games)

Need to get my 4 inch display out to watch this 1080p content in a visible quality and no pixels. IGN /facepalm... 2021 still uploads in 1080p and at a horrible bitrate.

It’s the non bastardised American English pronunciation of Celica, which the majority of the English speaking world uses, and closer to the Japanese way which sounds more like Silly Car. 😁
