Did they supply him with toothpicks while he was in prison? That seems potentially dangerous. Or did the guys that broke him out bring a toothpick for him? Which seems like too minute a detail to bother with.
Fury is not the founder of S.H.I.E.L.D, just the current director. Its hard to say more about Shield or other founders without spoiling though. But you will learn more about that organization and also Fury.
I actually wrote a psychological review of Tony for my abnormal psych class. It was based on the line of him being called a narssacist. With all Tony's issues, nassacism isn't really one.
Ok, you are hilarious! I never knew I needed a Tony/Pepper/Natasha throuple. Either that or Natasha/Pepper and yes, Natasha would 100% wear the strap. 🤣
It may just be my headcannon, but I like to think that Vanko looked so worried seeing Natasha on the CCTV is because he worked with the Russian KGB/Black Ops, so he KNOWS who she is, and he very quickly made his exit. They fudge it up in the MCU, but not everyone who comes from where Natasha was trained is called “Black Widow,” they are called “widows.” Only the very best of the best gets the code name “Black Widow.” And that is Natasha. It’s like “Captain America.” There is only ever one of them.
They actually do something really cool here that I think gets overlooked a little bit. In the comics, one of the most famous stories for Iron Man is a story of called Demon In A Bottle, where Tony Stark starts drinking more in response to life events and realizes he's an alcoholic. In the first movie, they go out of their way to show Tony drinking. We see him drinking in the humvee, at the casino, him and Rhodey seem pretty toasted on their way to the Middle East and he's got a mobile bar for after the missile demonstration. In this movie it's more subtle, but still has elements that are just shifted by the dying narrative. We see him step into addiction (he knows using the suit is killing him faster, but still rolls it out for a public events where it's unnecessary, as well as continuing using it). We see him make bad decisions and display self destructive behavior. He decides to join in an F1 race despite the fact that we don't know what actual experience he has. We see him at the party where he recklessly uses the suit and endangers the lives of everyone while drunk- alienating the two most important figures in his life by wanting to kick Pepper out, needlessly fighting Rhodey and laughing about it, as well as displaying some level of ego "You think you have what it takes to wear the suit?" We see SHIELD intervene who can't give him a cure and sets up that he's the only one that can handle his problem. He goes through a redemption arc as he reflects on his relationship with his father to better understand him as well as apologizing to the important people in his life. I can't say I blame Marvel for not talking the issue directly given he's the first character and shot they took, and was the movies were much more popular than they anticipated. So I think they adapted his issues to something less dark and more friendly. Fortunately though, Stark is played by RDJ, and RDJ's life mirrors the character in a wild amount of ways, so much so that Jon Favreau (the director of 1 & 2) had to go to bat for Downey at the time. Given his experience, I think he not only had some say/potentially influenced writers, I also think the writers knew RDJ's journey and the parallels between the two, which allows RDJ to just act his hard out an bown.
Yes! Good mention! The Demon in a Bottle storyline was clearly an influence here. Along those lines, it was that storyline that led to Rhodey putting on the armor. In fact, Michelle, in the comics Rhodey actually takes on the Iron Man identity for a while, wearing the red and gold. Later, when Tony is far along enough in his recovery to take back the armor and the mantle, Rhodey gets his own armor and becomes War Machine.
13:24 They are in europe for the track race, so judging by american standards for "you look sus, u probably have a felony" doesn't apply as much. heck, ex-convicts do get nice jobs here.
I seen this a million times, n I realized that too two years ago lol, about addressing the audience lol. It's her n it's her channel, deal with it. Jk great reaction. ❤❤
Okay I hear you on the Tony, Pepper and Natasha combo, but I raise you Tony, Pepper and Rhodey! The two people that know him best lol Some people don't care for this movie was much, but this is actually my favorite of the Iron Man movies. Has my favorite Rhodey, Tony and Pepper finally getting together, Fury and Natasha, this movie is just so fun. You asked about if people ship Tony and Natasha or Natasha and Pepper and not to spoil anything for you, I'm sure people do ship them, but there's generally more popular ships for Natasha with characters you'll meet later lol Natasha and Pepper would be TOO good though, they'd never give it to us because they're too powerful. So glad you weren't on board with Howard Stark's message there, too many people think it's so heartwarming that Howard believed in Tony and left him that message, but like...would it have killed the man to vocalize support and affection for his only son? I can't wait for you to watch more of these movies lol I have to become a Patron now because I'm too impatient for Thor!

Agree. Was about to say this. In the MCU, SHIELD was founded after WWI in the late 40s. Fury joined in the early 90s.
The word you were looking for is 'throuple'
YES!

Pepperasha? Peptasha? Pepper Widow? Black Pepper? No matter the name, I’m DOWN! 👩❤️💋👩☺️

I had never really thought about a pepper Natasha hook up until now. But I totally ship it.
"so is there any civilian casualties in these movies? do yall ever get dragged to court??" the way you predicted civil war 😭

Randy's Donuts is a pretty well-known chain in the LA area. And no, they will probably not let you climb onto their roof to sit in the donut sign.
I love that they also used that location for an episode of The Runaways lol
Were you writing Pepper Potts/Black Widow fanfiction!? You naughty Lady, you!! 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣

You're starting to be one of my favorite reactors.'
Fury is the director of Sheild. He isn't old enough to be a founder.
unsure how deleted comments work on your end, but the fic rec i posted has MAJOR endgame spoilers-i forgot before i sent it, im sorry!!
Of course Stark Sr couldn't say it - he was a 1950s dad.

Why is that, when a villain is from a country other than the US, they have to be from Russia? Why can't they be from like Okinawa or Zimbabwe? LOL
I've literally never heard anyone ship them as a throuple and i also really don't see it
