Friendly tip. Some of these features are only on certain trims. Especially the rear split seats and dual phone charging pads. Which are only on the Calligraphy, which is ~50k USD. But the XRT gets off-road goodies. Love the new Santa Fe so much.

this car has crazy transmission issues, a famous youtube car channel encountered the same thing, its always the beautiful cars that always have issues, but tbh this car somehwhat looks funky to me, like it tried to hard to be futuristic that it looks a bit goofy.

Around 2003-ish, my family bought a new Hyundai sedan, it was extremely basic, but it was also cheap. So it's interesting to see how far both them and Kia has come in their design game. Great to see that they care about the kids in the back as well. 😊
We have two Hyundai cars and love them. One is 10 years old, over 100k Miles, and has never needed any repairs except when stuff fell off trucks on my long commute and hit the car.
You would wish you never bought one once your engine self destructs after 80k miles and they don't honor the 100k mile warranty claiming 4.5k mile services wasn't enough 🥴
Sadly, the constant maintenance with the engine and its parts is an absolute nightmare. I've had my Hyundai Accent 2022 sent to the mechanic probably 20+ times now due to the engine, transmission, or some wire/part that broke because its plastic sheathing broke off. Don't let the features fool ya.

You can install heads up display in any car and depending on what all you want it to do, they are not expensive. Some will even plug right into your OBD port and get info from the ECU and other onboard sources. Calves support, really?!? You are either really out of shape or lazy, maybe both. It was developed in the height of covid. For people in healthcare, it's actually extremely useful. Honestly tbh it's useful for anybody. You'd be surprised about the amount of microbes that just exist on your phone.

And as somebody who has a PhD in microbiology/immunology, I can promise you that UV is spectacular for sanitizing things. We use it in the lab constantly. Also, doesn't have to just be your phone. Can be anything that's constantly being exposed to potential environmental pathogens.
The wireless charging pad detail is very nice. Raised and made of a anti-slip rubber material, Just in case people are rocking their phones without a case. Made sure the camera bump isn’t getting scratched. A small detail but damn their designers are good!

I know someone who had their 2014 Veloster since day one and zero issues. Of course, I can say the same about my 2012 Nissan Altima I bought new in 2012. Both over 100k miles. Regular maintenance really helps. And getting a model that is towards the end of its gen.
Why not just get a bigger Toyota or Chevy then? I stick with Toyota even though I grew up with Chevys. My grandmother had to have Chevy and bought a 2019 Trax and in 5 years the AC has broken three times. She hasn’t even reached 15,000 miles yet either.

I recently got the 2024 Santa Fe Hybrid Calligraphy, and it's actually about the same price as last year's model (which I also had in a lower trim before it got totaled, RIP car). Despite the complete makeover and TONS of new features, these models cost the same as the equivalent trims from last year. Last year I got the 2nd to highest trim (SEL Premium) and paid right under $41k. This year I got the absolute highest trim and paid $50k. The 2023 model was a mix between the hybrid base model and the top trim (last year, the top trim was Limited). This year's hybrid base model is ~$37k and the Limited is ~$44k. The average of that is right under $41k. Wrt to phone charger, it actually holds it in place really well. It has nice grip. The only thing I'd caution against is getting the gas model. It does have a little more power than the hybrid (not by much), but the DCT that is uses is notorious for having problems. By comparison, the hybrids transmission (tried and true 6-speed automatic) is rock solid. Also, there is very little price difference between the ICE and hybrid models. No real reason to get the ICE unless you want a tiny bit more power and a much bigger risk of transmission issues. Just my 2 cents lol.
Hyundai consistently ranks at the very top for safety. I would know, because I have *specifically* put Hyundai vehicles on my lists every single year because they always have superb safety rankings. I have a child too, so I actually did an extremely thorough deep dive into IIHS ratings. Wrt pleasure, I'm not sure what tou mean because they are known for having some of the most spacious interiors in their class (I'm 6'5, and Hyundai vehicles are by far the most comfortable for me) and interiors that are on par with some luxury brands. If you are referring to a dun ride, you really should not be expecting an exciting drive from a family hauler lol. You don't get the Santa Fe to drag race or go off-roading. You get it for family hauling, long road trips, transporting large items and groceries, etc. If you want excitement, get one of the EVs or an N line vehicle. I have the 2024 Santa Fe Hybrid Calligraphy and the acceleration and speed are great for what I use it for. My wife has the Ioniq 6 AWD and even though she doesn't need it for speed, it is FAST. Goes 0-60 in right above 4 seconds and trust me, you can feel it.

hey guys basically I have that car and it’s so super fun I love it in the back it has an outlet and you can have your charger block plugged in and you have control of the ac in the very back too, also on the sides of the seat there are charger plug things too it’s rlly cool😊
