I'm planning to return to tanking with Brewmaster after along time away from it in War Within, this guide is great and will be an immense help! Thank you!
Started playing Retail WoW in S4 of DF and your guides were incredibly helpful, I was able to to get top-5 M+ Rating on my server because of them! I don't think I can swap off of Brew as long as long as you keep making content, I've gotten too accustomed to how thorough these are. Thanks a ton!
Thanks for such a comprehensive guide, love it. Going to try out your builds for sure. I'm a little disappointed that Shado-Pan is just strictly better than MoH after the brute force numbers buffs since I was really looking forward to playing MoH.
Very nice guide, both the video & the doc! I have 2 questions regarding rotation priority: 1. With Shado-pan & Face Palm talented, is Tiger Palm the better spender of Blackout Combo than BoF even in AOE? 2. In AOE what's the priority of Rising Sun Kick? Thanks so much!
Great video ^^, have a quick question about brew. What’s your opinion on how pug friendly brew gonna be if everything goes live as they are right now? Mostly asking about high end of pugs. Like key levels of 19s-20s right now.
In the Google sheet, you wrote that tiger palm is only used in single target if you don't need to absorb orbs via SCK. But it's used in AOE? And when is SCK used in AOE then? Thanks for your guide!
Been playing brew since Panda, love love love the class, you're always the guy I watch. I'm really excited for S1 as brew is looking some of the best it's ever been. What are your thoughts on Ox Stance? Just for the super hard hitting bosses at high level yea? (12-15's against Edna or speakers)
Not useful until you start getting 1 shot by tank busters and most of them are just liveable raw or with CB or with a defensive so its kinda pointless unless you're just eating them with no cd
Hey man you still running shadopan? Just thought I'd check coz a lot of wowhead builds are running harmony and i didn't know if something had changed in week 1
Opener is set in stone at least on the first pull of a key, after that it's kinda just playing it by circumstance. After your first opener of a key you just play the prio
the opener looks complicated but it makes a lot more sense once you get into the class and figure things out, to answer your chi burst question its a really large portion of your damage
Always looked to you as a tank even when I haven't been playing brewmaster. For TWW it's finally time to try it out. Just being a bit heldback by majority of streamers/youtubers saying brewmaster is lesser good than the other tanks. How do we look for this new expansion?
So I know you will disagree. And I'm sure I'm wrong. But I'll ask.. At 14% haste Keg smash CD is 7 sec. With Mastery of Harmony we have 2 Charges of Celestial brew. Every Purify and Celestial we get special delivery... Could the dmg profile of constantly having brews be higher or no.. I know BOK from tier gives more keg but my brain goes more access to brews more special delivery more DMG mitigation. Thanks as always for your guide
How does the aoe rotation look? Do we empower tiger palm or breath of fire? Do you not SCK after exploding keg anymore? How does energy regen feel like with all the keg smash and tiger palm spam?
SCK is such a weak button, not worth to use it even with EK except maybe very high target counts. We are flooded with Energy because of SP 10% haste + all the free keg smash from 4p, it's pretty much impossible to empty your energy bar unless you're playing completely wrong
with 4p set you might as well take SCK off your bar, there is simple no time to use it you will most likely just end up delaying your BOK or KS to fit it in
Love the guide but few questions when is it better to use black out combo for breath of fire I would think the +5% dr would be a all was keep up also ever time I try to use the community discord link it does not work ty for all the hard work on this
I noticed lots of Brewmaster players not using Ox Stance. Is it that bad? Or Is it better for more defensive play? I personally like to play super defensively so I just curious.
Unless you're getting one shot by tank busters, putting points in HT and A&S is more defensiveness over the course of a key, that's why you don't play Ox Stance at least for now
@Equinoxmonk I really enjoy when you put out content. I got my ole panda reared and ready for TWW - rip stoneskin (but still) - very excited to dig into brew pretty heavy this season. The gearing path seems a bit stifling this time around, but plan to at least get the brew into max hero gear. Main VDH, off main pwarr, brew, and Bear. Gonna be a blast of a season :)
@Equinoxmonk Yeah there is a lot sitting up in the air. The changes to 8s/10s for M track, the crest awards, the 6/6 mythic instead of 4. Then the overall dungeon tuning comes into play. Extending the grind, idk if I quite agree. Like you said, not much to do besides see how it goes.
From watching Brew beta gameplay it seems that the damage in m+ is very high but with the main complaint being the durability / dependence on the healer, particularly in the huge trash pulls. It seems general consensus for m+ to avoid all the Niuzao & Ox stance nodes in the BrM tree in favour of all the dmg nodes. Is Dave so bad that it wouldn't be worth trading some dps for the added durability? Is the problem that the durability benefit wouldn't outweigh the dmg loss? thanks.
For someone just starting out a BM tank, what WA and addons if any should I look into? I’ve been a tank for all of DF but never tried brew, so thanks for the guide
Find a weakaura to track stagger and purified chi stacks for your celestial brew and also a weakaura that just shows you your important buttons (blackout kick, keg) so you hit them off cd
Assuming you want to push title, how much does it actually matter that you play a phys or magic comp? Just wondering if warrior or monk are forced to play with predominantly phys damage dealers, or if it doesn't really matter than much.
Do we have to use 1h’s? I use the artifact weapon tmog so id like to stick to 2’hs so i can use it (im willing to use 2h if its just a slight downgrade)
do have a good macro or anything like that for Vivacious Vivification? I was looking around to see if anybody had something that will prevent me from hardcast it if I dont have the buff to make it instant cast. Thank you
Consistently the best quality information I've ever seen for anyone focusing on a spec. Your guides are invaluable, thank you so much
Thank you so much, I really enjoy doing these and teaching about the class

.75 speed recommended. This guys speaks fast!
normal speed okay for me

I feel the same I was really looking forward to MoH
Interesting cause Wowhead seems very pro-Master of Harmony. Pleased to see Shado Pan being supported
shado-pan is definitely better for keys atm
wowhead guide was made by Sinzhu, and as much as i like and respect the guy, I don't think he is as knowledgeable about m+ as he is about raids
I've been a priest main forever but made a brew monk and you've always been great. Thank you for the info
Thx for this, il gonna main brewmaster in tww, first time maining tank so this is really valuable
I was thinking about this yesterday. Stoked.
I wasnt gonna play brew but having you and these resources changed that
daaaaayum a guide
You earned a sub immediately. New to tanking and brew and this is truly amazing. Thanks brother!!!!
great , thanks again for helping the brewmastas !

Next xpac it's very pug friendly imo. Low damage intake and enough CC for what the dungeons require
In the Google sheet, you wrote that tiger palm is only used in single target if you don't need to absorb orbs via SCK. But it's used in AOE? And when is SCK used in AOE then? Thanks for your guide!

@@Equinoxmonk After the most recent buff to it, do we ever actually swap to Press the Advantage over WoO?
@Equinoxmonk
looks like that Spinning Crane Kick is not calculated into 300 energy consumption for Flurry Strikes, bug or?
Hey man you still running shadopan? Just thought I'd check coz a lot of wowhead builds are running harmony and i didn't know if something had changed in week 1
Amazing! Is the rotation set in stone or is it enough with just remembering the priorities? It's quite long for an opener :D
And is it a opener for every pack possible or mostly bosses/bigger pulls?
What is the benefits of chi burts, feels like a filler to me or am I missing something?
Opener is set in stone at least on the first pull of a key, after that it's kinda just playing it by circumstance. After your first opener of a key you just play the prio
the opener looks complicated but it makes a lot more sense once you get into the class and figure things out, to answer your chi burst question its a really large portion of your damage
Thanks for your guide! One quick question: are we always choosing Bob and Weave now instead of Black Ox Brew?
You can play both, same with Rushing Jade Wind and Special delivery it's just personal preference

I appreciate the kind words and I hope you embrace brewmaster. It's an amazing time once you get into it
finally a vid after a month or so :D
been on vacation
Great guide, did you check the trinket Cinderbrew Stein? Even its not from S1 M+, last time when I test, its doing 25% of self healing
its bugged afaik but yes i've tried it
So I know you will disagree. And I'm sure I'm wrong. But I'll ask.. At 14% haste Keg smash CD is 7 sec. With Mastery of Harmony we have 2 Charges of Celestial brew.

issue with haste is it doesnt do anything but give you a bit of cdr and it usually adds up to less damage than just doing flat boosts like vers/mast
not getting a shorter GCD from haste is what really holds it back :(
also, special delivery is like 5% of your dmg, don't try to optimize for that :)
Thank you so much for the video! You are the best!
no you are
How does the aoe rotation look? Do we empower tiger palm or breath of fire? Do you not SCK after exploding keg anymore?
How does energy regen feel like with all the keg smash and tiger palm spam?
empower TP, BoF in 8+ target when it's convenient in the rotation
SCK is such a weak button, not worth to use it even with EK except maybe very high target counts. We are flooded with Energy because of SP 10% haste + all the free keg smash from 4p, it's pretty much impossible to empty your energy bar unless you're playing completely wrong

can I ask are we not spinning because tiger palm is better for flurry or just does more dmg ?
Better for flurry and damage
Thanks for all the info! How good does Brew perform atm compared to other tanks with current tuning?
just based off survival and damage very good, bad raid buff so unlikely to be meta just cause of that
Love the guide but few questions when is it better to use black out combo for breath of fire I would think the +5% dr would be a all was keep up also ever time I try to use the community discord link it does not work ty for all the hard work on this
You don't really need to but in 8+ targets it's more damage

I personally like to play super defensively so I just curious.
It's basically a "prevent your death" talent, so until we are at that threshold it's not useful
Unless you're getting one shot by tank busters, putting points in HT and A&S is more defensiveness over the course of a key, that's why you don't play Ox Stance at least for now

Is the fist/trinket combo from raid really that bad for brew? I expected that to be on the BIS list for sure.
MoH not being BiS for m+ is such a huge bummer.
it's not much worse (at current tuning!), just play it anyways if you like it
Is this the typical 'Brew is BiS in the beginning of Beta but dedge on release' like everytime or did the talent changes really help enough?
From watching Brew beta gameplay it seems that the damage in m+ is very high but with the main complaint being the durability / dependence on the healer, particularly in the huge trash pulls. Hi. thanks for this guide! What u think about dark moon trinket? Is there any good alternative for Dead-Eye Spyglass or Ovi'nax's Mercurial Egg?
Not at the moment
@@Equinoxmonk thanks
Is the only downside to using a 2H Weapon until you get the rare 1H raid weapon, just missing an enchant/weightstone?

Are you making dungeon guides for this season? your DF season 3 ones were epic
Yes when the dungeons are more on ther finished product so it's more useful info
This is great, thanks so much
Do you ever use vivify procs while combat? And what is the rotation in aoe fights?
Yes to offheal or heal myself if I have no gift of the ox orbs
Part of me wants to play master of harmony just to see how far I can push it.
GOATTTT ty dude
can you add a section with good trinkets that are a bit less to play around?
bis trinkets are just stat sticks, dont have to play around them at all
Do you think 2H or 1h weapons are better for brew this time around?
1h
do have a good macro or anything like that for Vivacious Vivification? I was looking around to see if anybody had something that will prevent me from hardcast it if I dont have the buff to make it instant cast.
Thank you
Just a mouseover unfortunately!
Woorgen is the good class for brew?
is spinning crane kick not part of any rotation anymore, not even in exploding keg window ?
actually i'm curious too.
Is the rotation you showed us the same in aoe scenario? Or should we just replace tiger palm with sck and we gucci? :)
Not really, its pretty much just used for grouping mobs
thank you so much u have no idea
of course :)
everything crit/vers :)
we're safe going overcap?
for season 1 yes
Thanks!]
this a brew monk pvp guide?
How is damage versus other tanks?
same or better
