I honestly thought this was a video made by some studio somewhere. Very high quality content from a channel with not so many subs. you really love to see it, keep up the good work
5:49 Ok that I actually didnt know until now. Thanks for the video. I thought I dont need a video on stagger. But breaking it down like this and the additional information I actually received made it really worth. So... thanks! :)
I’ve just hit 60 on my BrM monk. I can’t wait for some of the content you’re making! Always learn a lot watching and then re listening to your vids. I had a blast levelling. I been enjoying the talent where you throw kegs up in the air when you chug a brew and using ox brew to reset the brews… throwing 7-8 air bombs might not be practical but the sound it makes is sure fun, going to try it in PvP!
This is awesome. I love these in-depth takes on mechanics that most guides just cover in one sentence. I mean theres so much more to all these and only with your videos do you fully appreciate the aspects. And mastering the details is key to enjoy the game and be good in my opinion on WoW. So thanks and keep them coming please!
Hi great video. I am a new brewmaster tank and this was really my question. Thanks for the answer. Suggestions for other tank videos: Blood DK- Maximizing, properly utilizing and balancing your runes vs runic power. A lot of blood DKs simply press death strike randomly and dont have enough gas in the tank when the real damage hits in. Warrior- Shield block vs Ignore pain. When to use each for maximum effect. DH- How and when to kite. Important auras to track. Paladin- DPS vs Tankiness. How to decide Druid- Freinzied regen and pull size. Hope this helps. Thanks
Another thing worth mentioning for more advanced players going down into lower keys is Training of Niuzao can be utilized to letting yourself get high stagger if dmg isn't putting you in danger. Would be more healing needed so would be a balance of not making your healer to have to tunnel on you but could definitely see value in not purifying off cd after people have mastered it in low keys.
As a new brewmaster thank you, this was immensely helpful. Towards the end you commented on a more nuanced play style centered around high tolerance and similar talents. Could you perhaps elaborate on that?
Fantastic mate, just leveled my monk alt for tanking and this is fantastic. Oh and quick update on my shaman currently 7/8 H and just got 2k Io last week. It's minecspy btw.
Love your content Sha. Have been following for almost a year now. I dove back into Brewmaster this past April 2024 and really focused on practicing it and learning. Which really paid off! I just play casually but am 99% in the PvP space mainly in Rbgs. One question I have so I can better understand Stagger is, would you be able to do a mathematical breakdown scenario of Stagger? I'd like to better understand how new damage is added to the current Stagger dot. I know Stagger is at least 10 sec (and can be extended with talents). If I take a 100k hit and lets say I stagger 50% of it, then 3 secs later I take a 200k hit and stagger 50% of it. The first hit has already started its dot countdown and has 7 secs left. But the Stagger timer is reset from the new hit to 10 sec. How is the old damage accounted for timewise if the new hit has reset the Stagger dot to 10 secs again? Sorry for long post. Just hoping to better understand.
I love my BM we are the strong few that people probably are alil worried about in the back of their heads but more often than not I walk away as a noob tank proud 🙃 great vid my friend
A couple questions that I didn't recall seeing covered in the video. On your stagger bar there is a percentage tied to the stagger level. For example you may be in red and it displays 150%. Is this number the amount you have stored relative to your total health? I.e. You have 150% of your max HP currently stored as stagger? Also, is there a maximum to the amount that can be stored? Does it get to a point where you just take 100% of all attacks up front because you can store no more damage? Thanks for the informative video and answering my questions!
The percentage represents the percentage of hp the current level of Stagger dot damage will do to you. So if your stagger is 150%, then over the next 10 secs you will take 150% of your hp worth of damage. (You have 1million HP. 150% stagger means you are taking 1.5million damage over the 10 secs). I believe Stagger scales up to 1000%, but that could be outdated I am not sure.
Great vid has helped me understand better how stagger works after changing to brew for this tier. Quick q though is there any where I can get your weakauras? They look a lot better at tracking than what I'm currently using/able to make 🙂. Keep up the great work
@Sha_IRL hey is the blackout kick / tiger palm a macro it seems like whenever blackout kick is on cd it shows tiger palm, if so what is that macro thank you
I'm asking a somewhat unrelated question but is there any reason to use either a staff or two one handed weapons on the brewmaster? I haven't been able to find anybody explain if there is or isn't a reason to do one or the other.
@@Sha_IRL does each enchant have its own separate internal cool down? Like would you use two sophic devotions or do those CDs interfere with each other. In that case would you use two different enchants?
Also last night had a smooth fail on an 18 NOK the reason being how most tanks have multitarget abilities palidan divine toll...dk got grip.... warrior got AOE taunt and druid had long range moonfires and AOE fear....finnaly DHS have sigils and glaive.... How do you handle the final boss adds as a brewmaster in offensive?
The way I do is you can ring of peace the further ones to get the close to you and then I’ll interrupt the ones by me and run towards the other to while I have my tornado and I spin kick to get agro
@@Gaagaagoogoo677 I'll have to try that I tried putting a transcendence on the left side ringing the right side farthest with an interior then transferring to the otherside with spinning kicks but it seemed they never stopped long before casting again
One option is to take one of the 4 adds out of the fight temporarily with paralysis, ring of peace one close to the other 2 and deal with 3 then that incapped one. edit: saw the double post someone said similar.

For me, brewmaster is the worst spec in the game, so hard to maintain stagger, horrible heatlh pool, no passive damage mitigation, so many hotkey to press, protection warriors is better in every single aspect, you have passive block + defense stace + heavy armor, big health pool, literally impossible to die. but i dont care, i'm playing monk forever because its too damn fun!
The purified chi mechanic and celestial brew are dumb. Get rid of celestial brew. Monk needs more ways to interact with their stagger. Bring back guard, and allow the monk to generate a stagger absorption shield on short cooldown. Maybe make purifying brew grant a shield equal to 25% of the stagger cleared, absorbing 25% of each stagger tick. Give Brewmaster a cool down that causes them to stagger 100% damage and grants a 50% stagger absorption shield for its duration. Lasts 6 seconds. Grant a talent string that causes expel harm to interact with stagger, making it cleanse some stagger, and deal damage based on the amount cleares. Brewmaste can now choose between purifying the stagger for defense or expelling it for offense. In otherworldly, bliz needs to quit being lazy with their designs
What a waste of time, I can read the descriptions of the abilities myself. Explanation does not mean reiteration! I watched this video to have it explained because, after having read the description, I wanted MORE INFORMATION. Very poor

Excuse me but what is that WeakAura HUD. I love the health/stagger bar/Energy and its size/reactiveness
This video was so good it was...staggering 🙈😂
dont forgett you cant die from stagger. It will just bring you down to 1 hp but it cant kill you

I learned recently rsk mass applys weapons of order debuff during weapons of order for brew, even tho it's not read in the tooltip
great guide
nice explanation 🙏🏻

Leaved a like. Love me forever
So just started playing as brewmaster whats the add on or weakaura that you have for the stagger bar on video?
Just starting tanking brewmaster yesterday 🎉
yo a random question, where did you get the mouse tracker? I see many with it. is it a add-on?
7:06 what’s the % to the right of the bar in the middle? I’m new to brew
That's the percentage amount of stagger in relation to my health.
Why does the health always run out before I ever see red stagger?
i now realize ive been using purifying brew wrong xd TYTY
Do bleeds and dots get staggered as well?
@Sha_IRL hey is the blackout kick / tiger palm a macro it seems like whenever blackout kick is on cd it shows tiger palm, if so what is that macro thank you
Hey man what addons do you use?

How do dots on stagger work? Does the dmg start really small and scales upwards the longer you don't purify?
Every tick of the DoT is treated the same as if you were hit normally.
Can anyone Tell me what he is using to show the cd of boss abilities? for example when he's fighting fenryr
It's DBM accompanied by a WeakAura called Boss Ability Timeline.

I'm asking a somewhat unrelated question but is there any reason to use either a staff or two one handed weapons on the brewmaster? I haven't been able to find anybody explain if there is or isn't a reason to do one or the other.
Two one-handed weapons is preferred simply since you can have more control over secondary stats AND you can use two enchants instead of one.

Could you also you the Taunt Statue?
Does stagger happen after or before armor
after, it's like an absorb (even shown as an absorb in the combat lock)
In legion we could reach 95% stagger. THAT was so overpowered making bosses like Argus tankbuster or guldan an absolute joke.
Can we please get your ui weak auras, in the discord and patreon and still can’t get them
