The video pretty much shows everything. All I did was tape off the tail lights then you spray a thin coat wait 5 to 10 minutes then re apply a second coat keep applying till you get your desired darkness

Are you using clear coat?
No clear coat. Sometimes clear coat can make the plastic almost melt a bit and will leave cracks in the clear coat
Could be a bad can but you might not be spraying close enough
