- So a while ago I made a video on spray tinting my tailights and I got multiple requests on trying to spray tint windows instead of using tint film. So today we try out window tint in a can or liquid window tint!! Could this be the future of window tinting?!?!

This works good for my case like tinting back windows on a work van so people don’t see your tools inside
Well they can see them if tehy go close enough. If ita a wan there is really no use for rear window so why not just use plastic bag ?

Hey bro I see a lot of people not getting the point. I could see this useful for stealth van campers who close off there windows with reflective full time. This type of tint would hide that reflective insert look. I may try this. Good idea for the right purpose! Good job!

Back in the late seventies and early eighties I used to spray tint cars a a gas station,the one I used you had to spray the top of the window and the tint would run down and even out with no bubbles,best thing I ever seen
I remember my dad using this in the 80’s. I wish I could find that stuff. Probably don’t make it anymore.

Ryan, I saw your video on the tire spray. There is a product that's pretty new, that I saw and bought at the Houston auto show. You spray it on your tires, and it sticks for 2 to 3 weeks, but it's clear so overspray won't ruin the look of the wheels. Also, it sheds water very well.

I Did my Back small Door Volvo windows....it came out fine...i saved 50 Bucks..
Considering I can’t find anybody to tint the rear window of a 2004 beetle for my wife. This might be my only option. Thanks for giving it a try.
Just like tinting lights with it for it not to look spotty you have to wet sand it and polish it
Going back to the 70’s with liquid tint. My father raced flat track for Yamaha back in the 70’s and also built vans and used liquid tint.
I plastidipped my rear windows in my car audio vehicle. Couple cans of plastidip to black out the windows is wayyyyyy cheaper than black out tinting the windows. On the outside it looked like a good tint job, on the inside you layer it thick enough to not get any light through and it looks black.
Plastidip is suppose to be plastic spray so off it would black out it’s for like plastic bumpers and stuff like liquid plastic paint

If you keep adding coats till it's a solid coat its great, just don't do it when its cold out, needs to flash about 10 mins between coats, I did my gasser in red
what i would recommend to do is to put a window size white paper from the out side to see it pdoperly

Back in the late 80s mid 90s you could buy spray tint. Unlike the spray tint in this video you would go side to side causing a constant run of product down the glass. One even run coat. Worked good but messy.
Do you know how te remove it?
@@DHRN-rq1qq Acetone took it off. The problem was that if your key touched the glass it would scratch it. I was told this was how they did it in the late 60’s. Poor bastards.

Have you ever installed a mirror tint over top or beneath a darker tint (ie 35% black or 20% black)? I like the 35% mirror on my car but I didn't want it as reflective. Is that a possibility?

This is about the 6th video I’ve watched on VHT as tint. A few of them, the windows turned out like crap, the other videos, the windows turned out about the same as your window. I thinks it will be acceptable inside a truck cap. But the key will be to apply many, many light coats to get a even coverage

I remember back in the early 90's you could order all sorts of crap from JC Whitneys. I bought a can of spray tint meant for actual windows. It came out horrible. Unless you're proficient at using a spray can, it was very streaky. Every overlap darkens it so you have to go all over to keep it consistent. I was driving an '86 4runner at the time and I tried it on my rear passenger windows. After finishing the second one, I gave up. It was crap. I got film tints afterwards

well considering it is designed for headlightstaillights......SMDH, also you can get walmart tint for cheaper, and if you can't tint a flat surface for garage windows, dont even bother.

Cheap Nail polish remover worked with such ease it removed black tint window paint in my car with no effort at all no one in all the car mechanics on RUclips even suggest this simple solution

Got zx2 rear glass that blinds my babies eyes got some tint on there but can I spray on that tint in that area to still stay out of the pigs sight
I was looking at doing my SUV completely blacked out like 0% I even contemplated black spray painted black I have audio equipment I don't want to seen could I do it with this? I already have my front done professionally.
I may do this on the back window where its hard to shape on this Geo metro hatch lol. Not the sides. Im allowed 5% in the rear. Just keep coating that back

Wondering if you’d be able to help, had my Range Rover evoque tinted, now the rubber at the top of the one window rubs against the flat surface of the tint and and makes a sound when the body of the car flexes.

This is a old trick we use to do when we built sub walls if you keep the tint on the car it's a more uniformed look on the outside inside looks horrible but no one sees it because of the subwoofer wall.
I've done this on my back windows for my wall as well lol.
Can you still see through the window ok from the inside?
Probably a stupid idea, but came across this video trying to figure out how to patch those small spaces left on the edges by the tint.. and tbh maybe this product might work. But I can imagine it would be a pain to apply
Ive done this to the rear window of my old 99 f150 & THIS SHIT MAKES A HOLY MESS. Especially when/if u gotta removes it.paper towells, Rubbing alcohol & a scraper will be ur best friends.

You can spay with flat black on the windows and it comes out better u just got to take your time but the inside you can tell and not on the outside

Can you do a tint, your daily glasses to mid sunglassed or something like DIY I'm trying to do it with window tint film and it ain't working but if I put it on the back of my phone it works perfectly fine. So I'm thinking the shape of the glasses lens is making it not form around it properly. Yes I know I could get transitions but that's really expensive and they eventually wear out. Yes I've had multiple pairs. Don't tell me I don't know them 🤣
