The foliage at the side was mainly wild Pampus grass. How beautiful is the Countryside we are so lucky you have shared your lovely adventures with us. 👍♥️👍
Your journey is awesome. Love watching the old stuff too but there is a lot of catch up but I enjoy every one of them. l Love the guy's dog encounter, precious.
I just love how all you narrow boaters get along so well together, it's wonderful to see how you all help each other out. A real community spirit going on there. A treat to watch you all living your dreams much love xxx
It is a wonderful community, if you breakdown you can just about guarantee within the next three boats someone will offer to help. Won't get that on the roads!
By far the best way to spend a gorgeous day, with your mate riding side by side, on a river having fun. You're almost like the Motorcyclists of the Canal...
Started fun, love the map of waterway, gets better, then....I felt like I was on board for such a beautiful, relaxing trip!! This was so spectacular, thank you!
I grew up in Stourport. My sister used to clean the hire boats down there for a season. As a young kid, I helped move a couple of boats thru the locks in the basin. was so so much fun!
LisaMarli. My little dog - a Lachon, (Lassa Absu + Bichon Frise) is generally well behaved and seems to like being with me and his extended family (my mates.) He lives with two cats, one which puts up with him (and sometimes quite likes him) but the other one doesn't like him and hisses and spits at him! Of course he barks at her and I'm sure he would bark at Munchie on principle. Looks like a lovely cruise and doing so in company was very nice. We are afloat next week, as Enthusiastic Hire Boaters, just doing the classic; Wigram's Turn to Stoke Bruerne and back. Can't wait to get afloat.
What a glorious, fun day you guys had😀 So very different from the usual collaborations on one boat. Really quite cool to see two narrowboats (and their crews of course) playing, I mean cruising😉, together on the waterways. Thanks for taking us along.
Watching you two ladies travelling with Jono along the canals make me want to return to the UK . My wife and I have been back quite a few times and even hired a narrow boat twice . As I originally came from near Rugby I know Braunston and Crick quite well , I don't know if you have travelled the Grand Union at Newbold on Avon but as a kid we used to swim under that tunnel there . I've now lived in Australia for nearly 50 years and once the restrictions and my chemo is under control we will again come back to the Uk for a holiday . Keep having fun . Regards to Jono . Mal and Ellen in Australia
Re: 12:10, "But how do they know you are coming?" Well, see, the thing is, they acquired some surplussed Royal Navy sonar buoys at a good price and modified them to lie in a chain on the canal bottom for about two miles up from the lock, and in the shed at the lock there's a display board bodged up out of old incandescent Christmas tree lights where the color of the light and the brightness/voltage fed to it is determined by the length and number of boats approaching, while their approach velocity is determined by simply observing the rate at which the indicator lights illuminate in sequence.
Nice video Kath and Annamarie.... I was asleep and awoken on NB Owamya in Stourport Basin when I heard, well more like felt you engage contact the lock gate..... fabulous day for messing about on the river. x
Great vlog.Nice to see you cruising with Jono, who was the first person who got me interested in narrowboat vlogs.(a lot more stuff here than first expected). Severn is lovely when it is not in flood glad you got to enjoy it.
This was just wonderful to watch and the two lock keepers were so fun. Loved Kath's crash-BAM and then she just carried on like "whatever". The Molly cat stand off was great to see lol.
I think a 10/10 all round. Just watched both vlogs back to back. Jono is a top guy. You'd have him on your team what ever your doing. Love Molly, who wouldn't hurt a fly, but try telling Munchie that!! Delightful vixens as always. Lovely to see the smiles, the sunshine and the animals. Fair cheers you up on a cold 5' c night. xx
That Jono, what a gentleman. 'Smashing' vlog ;) How can you not love the Severn - you should give it a shot in the Autumn, you wake up in the morning with the river shrouded in mist - truly awesome. Great vlog ladies.
We moored at Stourport together, so Munchy and Alice had seen Molly before- and I think it was just so funny that Munchy thought 'hey, why's that dog following us?'
We did exactly the same journey back in Oct. '17 towards the end of our week's cruising the Stourport ring - the only differences being the fact that we had to handle those last few canal locks on our own & we moored up overnight on the pontoon moorings on the Severn just after the last (canal) lock. Guess which numpty left one of the gate paddles open on the very last lock ?! 😨 I also remember those 1st few locks on the Droitwich Barge Canal as being incredibly heavy !! Thanks for the great memories ladies xx
OMG!!! Three of my four fav narrowtubers! Soooooo great to see the side by side cruising, and the tea mug handoff was brill! Munchie and Molly...priceless! You made my week and it's only Wednesday. 😊 ❤️💛💚💙💜💖
I’m late to this vid but so enjoyed it! Great to be transported into summer again. The river part reminds me of a boat trip we go on on the river Waveney in Suffolk! Beautiful. Also enjoyed pussycat face at the end! 😂
The double-wide locks on the river are much like the locks on the Rideau Canal. Run by Parks Canada, with Lock Masters at each station, there's not much to do but keep you lines in order and ride the lift or drop. Doubling up is common and you always keep your wits about you as the next person coming in might not have their skills in good order. Loved the ride along!
Ladies, can you travel the Severn, Moor at the most of the riverside? Recon myself many months could be spent up and down. The boar could be interesting ever new tide. Nice to see you so happy,
I learned how to do my solar set up for my Vardo from watching Jono's channel .. 3 of my Favorite people on one channel A Lucky day for me ...GREAT VIDEO :-):-):-)
That was very well calculated Kath! "If I bump the mouth of the lock at this angle and at this speed, then the boat will bounce off and set on a straight course into the lock". That would be my line anyway. Very nice video as always. Thoroughly enjoyed the scenery on the Severn.
Good one girls and Jono . I see Molly teasing the cats and the cats a bit wary . It was good for you to have company on the river , i'm waiting for the next installment :-)
I wasn't eager to do the River Severn portion of our narrowboat holiday on the Avon Ring. It turned out great, though - very smooth sailing, and I was able to drive a lot faster than on the canals! I'm glad that you survived!
well done to jono with all the help ,nice bump in the lock kath but a big well done looks tricky over all girls a massive big thumbs up .
It was very nice of Kath to make Jono feel good by deliberately hitting the lock gates. 😊
She was also very fair - hit both side going into that lock ! Hope the cats weren't too upset by the jolting !
The foliage at the side was mainly wild Pampus grass.
How beautiful is the Countryside we are so lucky you have shared your lovely adventures with us.
👍♥️👍
I hope you all have a great weekend 😎
cat-----wtf a dog. The cat's reaction lol... priceless. Loving your adventures ladies, I envy you two..Brilliant Cheers
Your journey is awesome. Love watching the old stuff too but there is a lot of catch up but I enjoy every one of them. l Love the guy's dog encounter, precious.
THIS IS GOOD TO WATCH YOU BOTH ... AND JONO FROM DIFFERENT PERSPECTIVES .. ( WATCHING YOUR VIDEO AND JONO'S ) LUV IT :)
I continue to be so impressed with your boat handling. I wish you all would make how-to videos on…wait…you already do! Wonderful.
You two seem so happy in your life, congratulations on finding your way to happiness!!
Thank you
Lovely video, thank you. Stunning footage, of wildlife even the cobweb ! River Severn looks beautiful x
By far the best way to spend a gorgeous day, with your mate riding side by side, on a river having fun. You're almost like the Motorcyclists of the Canal...
It was a great ride
Well girls that was absolutely delightful. Thanks D.
Excellent , i really enjoyed this one. Jono is great also. But at the end, between the Molly and Munchie. Fantastic job ladies .
This is one of you best !! Fun when you pair up with other boaters the sillyness is wonderful : ) ...thank you for the ride along !!! Beautiful !!!
So glad you enjoyed it
The look on the cats face was priceless......... great vlog as usual.
wow love the river more than the canals just wow beautifull thank you
Absolutely fabulous ladies, wonderful to see continuous cruising makes you both so happy 😀
Started fun, love the map of waterway, gets better, then....I felt like I was on board for such a beautiful, relaxing trip!! This was so spectacular, thank you!
Great vlog, very tranquil and a superb day for river cruising,Munchy looking a bit nervy at Jonos dog, lol.x
I grew up in Stourport. My sister used to clean the hire boats down there for a season. As a young kid, I helped move a couple of boats thru the locks in the basin. was so so much fun!
Those lock helpers seemed like a hoot!
The volunteers were awesome
LOL, love Munchie's reaction to the dog. But it does look like a lovely trip.
LisaMarli. My little dog - a Lachon, (Lassa Absu + Bichon Frise) is generally well behaved and seems to like being with me and his extended family (my mates.) Formation narrow boating, that's a new one. Brill!
Should have bridged the two boats - and called it a *cat*amaran !
Rotten day for me brightened greatly by your video of river adventures.
What a glorious, fun day you guys had😀 So very different from the usual collaborations on one boat. Really quite cool to see two narrowboats (and their crews of course) playing, I mean cruising😉, together on the waterways. Thanks for taking us along.
Yes, it was a bit different collaborating a journey on two boats- and it will continue for some time still.
Binge-watching your vids with a nice gin & tonic! Amazing way to let the afternoon pass by!
What a wonderful relaxing vlog! I watched this tucked up in bed, with a hot mug of coffee. A lovely start to my day. ☕
So glad you liked it

I literally burst out laughing at Munchie's face at the end! You should make it into a gif! 🤣🤣🤣
Big nasty scary dog running around loose - should be in a cage !!!!!
Omg, true.
Poor munchy ! Xx

Great video Lady's, it really added a whole new dimension traveling with Jono. Enjoy the Seven.
Your good spirits are contagious ladies! I enjoyed this vlog of yours so much tonight!
Glad you liked it.
Loved this video and the angle of the camera on your cat and dog at the end is perfect. Who needs words... munchies facial expressions say it all.
Exactly, I didn't want to spoil it by talking at the end
Great video! Really enjoyed watching both perspectives on your shared adventure.
Great ! Interesting & Amusing trip. Love the cat s expressions when they saw the dog.🎨👍😘😘
Yes, too funny.
I am so enjoying these vlogs{?}.. so good.. thank you ladies [ and Jono].
Spent many happy hours close to this basin and the angel pub close by, many years past now

At 13:00 it Looked the big gate was opening & you all were going into Jurassic Park 🦕 🦖🦆🦢. And Munchy at the end was so funny 🙀😾🙀😼😂
Bless Munchie really didn't look sure! What a lovey river trip thanks for taking us along.
:) That cup of tea "underway replenishment at sea" was the greatest! Definitely one of the best things I've seen on a narrowboat video. :D
So glad you liked it. Who doesn't like being served a cuppa on a river by a fellow boater?
Just lovely.
love this made me chuckle and munchie and molly was priceless
I felt the same way. Munchie had the most unbelievable look on his face when he spotted Molly.
So nice to see you both happy.
Looking after Jono as well with a cup of tea !
Keep safe
I'm dying at how cute the animals are 10s acrooosss the board for sure
So Kaff sez : 'which way is the water going?' Brilliant!

I'm loving it too.... Junior cruisers learn early when mooring and setting an anchor, one must keep it holding against the tide or current, Love....
Hi Kath and Anna,
Now you're cruising the Severn look up the unusual phenomenon known as 'The Severn Bore'
Hope you're good at surfing!!
Great vlog.Nice to see you cruising with Jono, who was the first person who got me interested in narrowboat vlogs.(a lot more stuff here than first expected). Severn is lovely when it is not in flood glad you got to enjoy it.
Glad you liked it
This was just wonderful to watch and the two lock keepers were so fun. Loved Kath's crash-BAM and then she just carried on like "whatever". The Molly cat stand off was great to see lol.
:-D you hit that lock gate so hard that even my mug fell off the coffee table here. And I'm in Perth.
Excellent vlog - thank you
It's wonderfully heartwarming to see my narrowboat family getting together. Thanks for the delightful vlog!
You're so welcome.
Very nice cruise, cats are plotting a scheme to get rid of the dog for sure. Still much fun had by all. Thank you for the Vlog.
Yes, they were. lol
Nice to see both perspectives. Saw Jonno's first.
What a wonderfully long vlog!!
I think a 10/10 all round. Just watched both vlogs back to back. Jono is a top guy. You'd have him on your team what ever your doing. SO glad you liked it, thanks
Love your vlogs. Yah for Munchie and Alice! Such brave cats with Molly the screwball running around.
She has a lot of energy
I’m late to this vid but so enjoyed it! Great to be transported into summer again. The river part reminds me of a boat trip we go on on the river Waveney in Suffolk! Beautiful. Also enjoyed pussycat face at the end! 😂

Dog: Wheeeeeeeeee
Cat: uh oh.
Dog: wheeeeeeee
Cat: Sound the alarm, all hands on deck!
Dog: Wheeeeeee
Too true and very funny!!!
Who is Deck? And why do they need to put all hands on him? The lucky blighter! :-O
Thank you ladies for a nice mid-week surprise.
You're welcome
Ladies, can you travel the Severn, Moor at the most of the riverside? Recon myself many months could be spent up and down. The boar could be interesting ever new tide. Nice to
see you so happy,
There are a few mooring spots, but not as easy as a canal
Ladies have you seen as from the bank the Severn boar? Cheers
Lovely, lovely vlog, double dose of you two, Jono and Molly, and of course the real stars: Munchie and Alice!
My goodness I want to live there... everybody is so friendly and helpful..... not the same world here.
Love the stroll on the River Seven, and my old friend Jono the journeyer.... w/ a cup of tea we stay free.
He was good company.
I learned how to do my solar set up for my Vardo from watching Jono's channel .. 3 of my Favorite people on one channel
A Lucky day for me ...GREAT VIDEO :-):-):-)
Hahaaa funny!! Glorious weather. Lovely video.
Awesome vlog. What glorious weather. So funny when Munchie was prepared to take evasive Molly action. Thanks so much for such an enjoyable vlog😎👍❤️🇨🇦
Thank you, glad you liked it.
That was very well calculated Kath! "If I bump the mouth of the lock at this angle and at this speed, then the boat will bounce off and set on a straight course into the lock". That would be my line anyway.
Very nice video as always. Thoroughly enjoyed the scenery on the Severn.
we watch them glide into countless locks,
then crash this one at Ramming Speed when its being judged
@@rwbimbie5854 Very true. From when I did the Coventry Canal, I remember hitting almost all the bridges. Kath and Anna's driving is impressive!
Interesting trip.Nice job girls
I did enjoy that journey, though Narrowboat Racing on the Queen's Waterways! Whatever next? :-)
I love your videos girls! Have fun! :-)
A lot of River Severn synchronised steering with Jono. Nice vlog.
Love it! This is one of the best videos you have done.
Thanks, we had a lot of fun and I think it shows
This video is really different with Jono in it lol well done girls.
Glad. you liked it
Good one girls and Jono . I see Molly teasing the cats and the cats a bit wary . It was good for you to have company on the river , i'm waiting for the next installment :-)
A funny, beautifully edited vlog. ps Cath I am jealous of your gorgeous thick hair! I loved Molly pretending to be good as she "ignored" the cat.
You could just see Molly trying to be the best guest, but every now and then thinking about putting one of them in her mouth.
Hello from Ogden, Utah. Keep on cruising and smiling girls. My mom loves your cats. Good thing she's not there or she'd want to take them home. ha
You two are lovely hope to meet you some day on the cut
Munchie was very brave protecting you from that brute Molly! What a perfect day for cruising the Severn.
Yes, he thought so too.
Loved this one! You have cats so you must have won! All good fun
I wasn't eager to do the River Severn portion of our narrowboat holiday on the Avon Ring. It turned out great, though - very smooth sailing, and I was able to drive a lot faster than on the canals! I'm glad that you survived!
And Molly is a very pretty dog!
You all looked like you had a great day 😁
