Finally, finally managed to sit down and watch this and I must say I enjoyed every minute ❤❤❤ thank you so much for doing this. Fantastic locations. Such amazing stories and beautiful scenery. You can see why these tales exist. ❤
A relatively short but informative introduction to some of the mysterious happenings in the heart of England. Well filmed and well presented. Subscribed
I've just come across your channel , wow ❤ and thank you for 2 fascinating Peak District uploads 😊 Something caught my eye in the background while watching. I went back to 2.40 where you visit the plague graves. It looked like someone had been writing on the church wall. It's actually lichen or weathering on the stones but spells 'rat' almost. How strange!
I have been to castleton and into peak cavern, the cave is spooky and it is also a stomach crawl through icy mud in a 200 meter long tunnel... Didnt know about the ghosts...
I wonder if all the ghostly events that have been reported in the Peaks connect in any with the Lights brilliant and cold some have said that occurs? The sighting of long lost aircraft and at least one crew member make me wonder if the underlined stone of the area and it's appearance above ground has any qualities in it's make up or the geological pressures it's under create a frequency or eddies that might make that area prone for sightings and the lights?
Interesting theory. Like you say, the ghost plane phenomenon and the lights around the Bleaklow crash site are widely reported. I would like to cover them at some point. Thanks for the comment.
Not sure why the YT algorithm suggested your channel but I'm glad it did. Subscribed 👍 Watched a handful of your films so far and no doubt will trawl through the rest in due course. Love the cinematography, audio, editing and to-camera pieces...they give a very eerie and dark vibe. Only slight criticism would be that the videos feel like a 'starter' rather than a 'main course', like there is some potential for a much greater in-depth review of the subject matter. Good luck in growing the channel!
Thank you for the kind words! Great to have you aboard! Thanks for the feedback too. I would love to do some more in depth videos in the near future. Appreciate it 👍
No worries 🙂. Try "Guys" tower at Warwick castle. On a really hot day that place is ice cold, plus a strange atmosphere. Love this stuff, l only found your channel by mistake! A good mistake as it turns out👍
@@PeteYeado Thanks Pete, glad to have you aboard! Funnily enough Warwick castle’s on my list so I will definitely be sure to check out Guys tower. Great suggestion, appreciate it!
@@CallOfTheDarkVideo No, thank you! When I was about 12 I remember going upstairs and then looking into my brother's bedroom. I am genuinely not joking, l saw a monk go across the floor and disappear through the wall. The monk was a foot of the ground. I've since found out the house was built on a monastery.
Great video this, enjoyed it. I had a strange experience at Swallet Waterfall thats close to the village of Eyam. Part of me thinks it was just in my mind but it could have been something more sinister.
Thanks! That’s really interesting. Wanted to check it out but didn’t have time. Maybe next time. Just seen you have a video on it. Checking it out now 👍
@@CallOfTheDarkVideo there are so many in the peak district you would be hard pressed to get them all in a video, you would have do a part 2 haha, look forward to pther videos.
@@CallOfTheDarkVideo If you ever do another one on the Peak District, have a look at Minninglow. Seen some weird stuff there personally, and my husband grew up not far from there and said it was known for witchy goings-on, and not of the good kind, either. He has quite a few stories to tell of all the weird places and things that go on in that area, to this day. He said there are a lot of people who "follow the old ways".

On a train through the region, I heard an unearthly wail. It appeared to scare train staff as well.

I am not surprised that there is underwater rivers feeding the lakes seeing as all those caves are full of water most of the year

My Backyard!
more Bogarts please!! 👏👏👏
I would be really interested in a series of creatures of folklore. Thanks!
Footsteps around the bed at the Miners' Inn? I would assume I was still at home and it's my pets.
Eee I must investigate a caravan site or sommat nearby.
