I hadn't even born and yet 45 years after, her charismatic presence, her like a child sincere and pure smile and her performances moved my heart. I readed a comment on other video that says "She single handedly helped relations between America and the USSR" so beautiful, that a person can touch others hearts like that. Thank You Olga Korbut ♥

I watched a few videos of her and of Nadia Comaneci and while she's also supremely talented there's something special about someone that creates something new and some of the moves Olga has in her routine are something really special so I can't help but admire her for it...I imagine some people go their whole lives without trying something truly new.
I'll never get sick watching her!💞

The only revolutionary gymnast ever. After her, elegance with risk. With Olga, for the first time we had fear about some exercices. Conservatives judges in 1972-1976 were not prepared to give her the 10 Olga deserve many times in UB and beam.

"Em 1986, o desastre de Chernobyl fez Olga mudar-se para os Estados Unidos com o filho e o marido. Dois anos mais tarde, fora a primeira ginasta (entre homens e mulheres) a figurar no International Gymnastics Hall of Fame. No ano seguinte, diagnosticou um problema na tireóide, resultado do acidente nuclear. Em 1990, tornou-se porta-voz da Fundação de Ajuda de Emergência Infantil, para crianças vítimas do desastre.
Mais tarde, acabou por divorciar-se e se tornou treinadora. Nos Jogos Olímpicos de 1996 fez parte, como dirigente, da delegação da Bielorrússia. Hoje, vive em Scottsdale, no Arizona e é treinadora do Olga Korbut Gymnastics, onde ensina dança e ginástica sob seu programa de força e condicionamento próprio."
