    Facts:
    Michael Jordan in his 12th season in the NBA was a...
    5x Finals MVP, 4x regular season MVP, 9x All-NBA First Team, 8x All-Defensive First Team, 9x Scoring Champ, 3x Steals Champ, and 1x DPOY
    Lebron in his 12th season in the NBA is a...
    3x Finals MVP. 4x regular season MVP, 10x All-NBA First Team, 5x All-Defensive First Team, 1x Scoring Champ, 0x Steals Champ, 0x DPOY
    And you know what the funny thing is? That's including the fact that Jordan only played 18 games in '84-85 because of a broken foot, and only 17 games in '94-95 because baseball.
    Jordan = Undisputed GOAT

      LeBron James was a 40% 3 point shooter in Miami. It seems like every year, LeBron's shooting stats decline, and I think the reason is because his legs are shot. He plays a lot of basketball every year, going deep into the postseason, six straight years in the NBA finals will take a toll.

    He made Skip contradict himself at least 3 times in this video.
    MJ *''just couldn't beat the prime Celtics by himself''* , but Lebron *''must beat the prime Boston Big 3 by himself'' , Skip ?*
    *Lebron losses the finals with Kyrie and Love injured* - and it's
    held against Lebron, but when he won the finals with Love & Kyrie
    healthy - Lebron gets little to no credit, becuase *Draymond was out for 1 game and Curry was ''hurt'' (but dropped 38 in game 4).*
    And Magic and the Lakers *made ''the west weak''* , but Lebron *''just happens to play in the weak east'', right Skip ?*

      You can't play the what if game. You could say the same thing for the year prior and say, Lebron and the Cavaliers would have won with a healthy Kevin Love and Kyrie Irving. They had Draymond Green for both game 6 and 7 and lost both games. Health and suspensions are part of the game. If you can't keep your head straight and take yourself of the game, that's an L on your part and shouldn't detract from how well Lebron James and Kyrie played that series.

    I have to argue Skip on the Lebron and Ray Allen in game 6 argument ;
    Skip always brings up how Lebron missed the 3 to tie, but he never likes to bring up that Lebron hit the 3 *right before that* and on top of that Lebron scored *16 points in the 4th to even bring the team back into position to have a chance to tie*
    And Ray Allen had *0* points in game 7(0-4 FG, 0-2 3PT), when Lebron had *37 12 4 (12-23 FG, 5-10 3pt*) and Skip just glosses over those strong stats.
    And Chris Bosh also had *0* points in that game 7

    Lebron is a great player but ge is the most overated basketball player ever. It's like this era took a player with the skill set of Scottie Pippen or Dominique Wilkins and tried to make him greater than he actually is. LeBron when he was with the Heat people say he was in his prime he was there from 2010-2014 and only won two rings with the help of Dwayne Wade and Chris Bosh and Mario Chalmers. How can LeBron be the great when his finals appearances doesn't match his wins. LeBron is only great for blocking, stealing, and going to the rim that is all. LeBron sucks at shooting and won't ever be compared to Jordan. I remember when LeBron said Miami Heat will win 8 championships and they only won 2 😂😂😂 what a joke.

      @joedraw9192 8 лет назад +6

      Edward Franklin What is LeBron better at then MJ? Playmaking? In the Finals, factoring in turnovers, they both average 3 a game. First 11 playoffs (the amount LeBron has been in) Assuming all assists = 2 points to account for the dfferent eras; LeBron is responsible for 54PPG, MJ would be responsible for 59.2PPG. MJ does it with less turnovers on a better FG%, clearly the better offensive player. Defensively it's even depending on how you look at it, IMO MJ a better 1 on 1, LeBron more versatile. Rebounding LeBron clearly better, averages 9.9 in the Finals. Accolades, MJ wins that easily. Advanced stats, MJ wins.

  • @longjohnsilverthorne7766
    @longjohnsilverthorne7766 8 лет назад +19

    Also, @ Shannon's comment at 7:45 - MJ played 12.5 (joined mid season in 1995) years in the league excluding the Wizard years. In those years, he made 6 finals. In the last 6.5 years, he made 6 finals.
    Next point on why Jordan couldn't beat the teams early in his career. He was 21-26. He is a guard, and therefore has to develop as a player. Nobody hates (or at least nobody should hate) on Lebron for losing 2003-2009. Why is this now relevant to Jordan?
    8:45 - Mj lost to Orlando while having only played 15 regular season games. He then responded to this by winning 72 games the next year and 69 the year after.
    8:50 - MJ was drafted in 85, so by the time he played the celtics, the early 80s were over.
    10:48 - "Was Kevin Love or Kyrie healthy?" - hate this argument. Nobody hates on the Cavs for losing in 2015, yet people are bowing down to lebron after beating a banged up Warriors team in 2016. We understand Lebron had no help in 2015. We also understand he got incredibly lucky that the Warriors got crushed to a pulp by outside issues.

      @arturoluna475 8 лет назад +2

      LeBron got a huge pass for losing to GSW in 2015. You want to talk about double standards? How about this one 'Lebron had no help, he carries the team' & 'Lebron makes his teammates so much better!' how can you have NO help and then say you make your teammates way better? it's one or the other

    • @Bballgamer7182954
      @Bballgamer7182954 8 лет назад +2

      There's a difference Arturo. He makes his teammates better but they have to at least have the talent. He can't make a bunch of scrubs stars. No one can. But put a great shooter around LeBron or a Tristan Thompson and they will thrive.

    • @arturoluna475
      @arturoluna475 8 лет назад +1

      Brandon Polo let me tell you where that double standard came frkm. I remember before LeBron left Cleveland, the cavs were winning over 60 games a year for a good stretch. That's when people said he was making others better. Then, after getting bounced year after year by teams that seemed to be on the same level as the cavs, it flipped to 'he has no help'. I don't agree with that, if he made his teams good enough to win in the high 60's, then he had enough help.

    • @Bballgamer7182954
      @Bballgamer7182954 8 лет назад +2

      Well playoffs and regular season separate good from great players. You see when they won 66 games in the regular season, the 2nd best player on that team was Mo Williams and then a bunch of role players. There was never pressure in the regular season and they were playing many mediocre teams. And when you play great teams, the great teams don't always perform because it's just the regular season. But when it comes to the playoffs, all the other great teams who had multiple great players with great support performed and went all out as every game mattered. But it's then that LeBron's "help" is exposed. Because players like Mo Williams feel the nerves now and the role players don't perform as well, especially in close games. So before you judge whether or not a player had enough help, don't look at regular season wins. Look at the players around him and ask yourself if they can step up in big games and perform to their regular season standards instead of folding under pressure, leaving LeBron to have to do everything.

      ensayofr Not even close to Way better. He MIGHT have been better, he might not have. You can say that his team was WAY better. That's why MJ is overrated. MJ had 7 allstars. They were losing to the Utah Jazz and Pistons before Scottie Pippen was in his prime and they had allstars. Lebron led the 2007, 2009, 2015, and 2016 Cavs to the finals when they wouldn't have even been in the playoffs not to mention beating a team like the 96 bulls. Lebron had 8 coaches in 4 years. MJ had one which was the best coach in SPORTS history. There are a lot of factors that make Lebron just as good, if not better.

    Lebron escaped to Miami so he could win Boston in the East, Jordan was never running away, he stayed and he built Chicago Bulls!
    Lebron was "going home" when Wade got hurt and he knew that Irving and Love will be in Cleveland!

    LeBron's opponents are really under rated.
    If Duncan had played for the Lakers or the Celtics, he probably would ranked above Magic/Bird. He played 19 years, Bird only 13, Duncan have better stats and more titles, and don't have a Kareem.
    Kevin Durant probably is better than Bird in skills, he shoots better, more athletic.
    Curry shoots much better than Magic, 400 3s, 50/40/90, not a good defender, but still would take him above Stockton.
    Duncan, Durant, Curry probably ranks above Malone, Stockton, Barkley and Drexler.

      Patinho I understand the sentimental value and Bird/Magic saved the league stuff, but Bird played 13 years, 10 good years, 5 elite, top 5 MVP type of year. He was also on a great team. Ask Skip, if he can give 5 memorable Bird playoff moments. Skip said Magic developed a reliable 3pt shot later in the year, just checked, shoots 0.286, 0.200,0.296 in his last 3 playoffs.

    When I first heard someone say Lebron is better than Jordan, I thought they were joking. Jordan is better without question. Jordan has:
    - 3 more rings
    - 3 more finals MVP
    - 2 3-peats
    - 1 more season MVP
    - 4 more All-defensive 1st teams
    - 3 more All-defensive teams (total selection)
    - Won a DPOY (Lebron never did this)
    - 9 more Scoring Leaders
    - Won Steals leader 3 times (Lebron never won one)
    - Lebron took longer than Jordan to reach his playoff points record
    - Jordan never scored less than 22 points in a finals game. Lebron melted down in 2011 vs. mavs (8 points in 1 game), 2014 vs. spurs (air conditioning), and 2018 vs. warriors (0-4)
    - Beat 20 50+ win teams in the playoffs (lebron only beat 10)
    - Jordan never AVGed under 40% FG in the finals (Lebron did twice)
    - Jordan never had a teammate who AVGed over 22 points in the finals (Kyrie Irving scored 27.1ppg in 2016 finals)
    - Jordan is the only player ever to lead a team to the finals with only one other teammate (Scottie Pippen) AVGing double digits in scoring
    - Jordan never allowed a game 7 in the finals. Lebron's 2016 finals win was a 4 point difference in a game 7.
    - Lebron scored 30 pts 416 times in 1,117 games. Jordan did it 562 times in 1,072 games
    - Jordan is undefeated in the finals with 6 wins and Lebron has lost 6 times and only won 3 times
    - Jordan has had 100 blocks and 200 steals in the same season, then did it again the next year
    - Has had 5 playoff series averaging at least 40 ppg
    - Highest scoring avg in any finals ever: 41 ppg vs. Charles Barkley's Suns in '93
    - Only rookie ever to lead his team in 4 stats
    - Only player ever to lead in scoring, win MVP, and DPOY all in the same season
    - Only player ever to lead in scoring and win finals in the same season more than once, and he did it 6 times
    - 1 of 2 players ever to drop 3,000 points in 1 season, only other player is Wilt Chamberlain
    - Only player to score over 40 pts at age 40 (he did it twice)
    - Earned All Star Game MVP, NBA scoring leader, League MVP, and DPOY in the same year ('88)
    - Jordan's AVG playoff PER of 28.6 is above Lebron's 28.28. In fact, MJ has the highest playoff PER ever.
    - Jordan's peak PER of 31.71 is above Lebron's 31.67. Jordan also has the highest peak PER ever.
    - Jordan in 88-89 averaged 32ppg, 8apg, 8rpg, 3spg off 54% shooting. LeBron never came close to this stat line.
    - Playoffs stats:
    - Jordan AVGs 33.4 points over Lebron's 28.9
    - Jordan AVGs 2.1 Steals over Lebron's 1.8
    - Jordan has better Free Throws at 82.8% over Lebron's 74.3% (almost 10% difference)
    - Best Playoff Season:
    - Jordan's playoff season record for PPG is 43.7 over Lebron's 35.3 (over 8 points)
    - Jordan's playoff season record for SPG is 2.8 over Bron's 2.3
    - Jordan's playoff season record for BPG is 2.3 over Bron's 1.8
    - AVGs 1.6 offensive rebounds total career over Bron's 1.2
    - In only 11 seasons with the Bulls:
    - 10 scoring titles
    - Won DPOY
    - 9x All-defensive team
    - 9x All-NBA
    - 5 league MVPs
    - 6 Finals MVPs
    Is the choice obvious now?

    the argument exists because LJ surpassed most of MJ's stats, but no one got the point. every year the reason why LeBron needed to score rebound and assist is because his team needed to win, he needs enough wins to get to the playoffs, in the playoffs he needs to score more, rebound more, pass more to get to the finals. stats is just a byproduct of the actual product which is the ring. the championship is the reason why there are 30 teams playing still playing in the NBA. so in order to be the GOAT you need the rings and the stats.
