Why do the elves look better than the ones from the Amazon series... oh, right; actual care and effort. This was amazingly well made, and the music was top-notch. You have all my respect, thank you so much for your effort

19:56 I cried my heart here, you, I mean the whole team who took part in this project made a fantastic job! That's what a great talent is, from the very beginning I felt Tolkien story and atmosphere, and I hope you can tell me where I can find more information about people who created this masterpiece! I must say the actor who played Thranduil made a very good impression of the elven King. From the first time I saw him, I saw Lee Pace, playing Thranduil. The actor did so good, he portrayed the character with respect to the acting of Lee Pace!

While the storyline was a wee bit confusing to me, I absolutely loved the scenery and the costumes! This was incredibly well made and I will definitely watch it again.
Rough around the edges but considering the limitations and the plot, I think this is one of the best made fan made movie I have seen. For example, I like the way they used a narrator for the plot and used the best props and whatnot they could find to make the film very good quality and put a lot of attention on the plot to be worthwhile. We need more of this because Hollywood has gone down the drain! Edit: chef's kiss for the ending, the acting, the emotions, how Kili and Fili were brought back to life, and how simple the plot was to avoid plot holes and make the film amazing 👏 😀 👌
I have no doubt that when humanity raises its vibrational frequency in peace and love, we will enter that fantastic poetic and magical world as this magnificent movie is.
Beautiful work, the only thing I didn’t like was the look of the two dwarves, but that’s just my own opinion. Big the acting, costumes, production and musical score were all top notch so well done to all Involved
Beautiful work? Where exactly? The foam swords? The terrible acting? The awful dwarves? The basic and still pathetic storyline? Apart from Thranduil this is so bad all over…
Superior work. This is the level all fan films should work to achieve. I'd have liked to see a little more weathering on costumes & props - scuffed leather , signs of wear on the costumes , maybe some dirty hands & fingernails. But overall this is how it should be done! I love to see this kind of effort & work.
The film is fun, I loved it and would be happy if the creators make more of this stuff. It's elegantly shown and narrated, and it reminds me of Thingol's story and of some Old Norse legends. Elves are spot on and the minor quotes from LotR as well the overall PJ-esque aesthetic is really successful. The music is great. Acting and the sparing voicework are splendid. Kudos. Still, I have some minor notes. First, *how* was one of the Seven found by Elves? In the LotR (I mean the book) Gandalf states that the fate of the Seven Rings is well-known to the Wise. Some were destroyed by dragons and the rest returned to Sauron. Maybe this one eventually got to him as well. It would be a great substory for this film if we knew how one of these Rings (temporarily) avoided this fate and that remained unknown to Gandalf. Secondly, Elves would never leave such a large portion of lembas. Lembas was precious to them. It was almost sacred, they would treasure it, not just throw it away or forget it for some Dwarves to find it. Finally, in this film we see not one but two characters renouncing a Ring of Power: a feat that should be almost impossible, with the great exceptions being Bilbo and Sam. The slightly illogical moment here is that the Dwarf left the Ring go after already having committed fraud in order to obtain it. That said, an elegant job and thanks for the beautiful film! The last little detail was hilarious. Now, I need to know more of the Elf-Queen (maybe Legolas' mother?) and the White gems of Lasgalen :) I realize that part is from "The Hobbit" trilogy and it's really well incorporated here. Your short project actually makes PJ's "The Hobbit" slightly better. Still, I'm more of an Emeralds of Girion fan.
Wow, I’m speechless. The choice to do a Voiceover, definitely appropriate and made it so good. The actors and the costumes all were great, but what made it complete and touching is the music. Had tears in my eyes in the ending!
Yeah but i have couple of gripes with this fan film though. 1. The casting of the dwarves. Idk man but they don't look dwarvish at all. It looks like they cast child actors for them, which is understandable considering Dwarves are short so they need to look shorter than the elves. But imho this casting decision doesn't look good. The dwarves look goofy with their absurdly large ears and their "childish" eyes. And also they are too 'clean-looking' for dwarves who should have a rugged look, considering they live underground and are a very hardy and rugged race. 2. Some of the plot points. 18:00 What the heck was that ? lol. Total unnecessary. It looks like they tried to pull of a Kili move like they dide in the hobbit films, where Tauriel the elf maid falls in love with Kili the dwarf. That entire love triangle in the Hobbit movie was wierd and shouldn't have been there at all in the first place. And so is this scene.
I didn't know what to expect when i came across this video. But i have to say i thought it was amazing i definitely loved it and i thought the actor that played Thranduil did a excellent job. ❤

Well done! I really enjoyed this and look forward to more! One little piece of constructive advice...not criticism at all, but advice to help. Most of the narration was great, but it's construction didn't always "flow" as Tolkien would have rendered it. One example would be "The Ring of Power however, is not easy to abandon". A more Tolkien-esque construction might be "The Ring of Power however, is not easily abandoned". Same idea, but with a more Middle Earth sound. So please know that I'm telling you this ONLY in the hopes to improve an already stellar job!
Thank you for feedback. I (director) and the narrator spent quite many hours rewriting the sentences to make it sound more Tolkien like. However, the fact of English being my second language made it a bit challenging. Good to hear there is still room for improvement! =)

A more Tolkien-esque construction might be "The Ring of Power however, is not easily abandoned". Same idea, but with a more Middle Earth sound.
Perhaps I'm a Purist, but to many of us Middle Earth fans, the richness and depth of the language is part of what draws us in and keeps us in.
@@ElfTaleFilms Wow...knowing that English is your second language makes the film even more impressive!
Wow the characters actually really look like the movies
The dwarves? Tell me you watched it without wearing your glasses!
It's like that event is before Smaug comes to Erebor, and then Thranduill go to claim there gems and saw the dwarfs defeated by Smaug!
...What are Kili and Fili doing there though? Were they even born back then?
@@aquahexlive Homie they are not those dwarfs, at end of this film say his names of that 2 dwarf, but
at first I thought the same.
@@giordanodanielcorderomejia8324 They look exactly like them. Wait. It is them. If you look at the behind the scenes, it clearly states that it's Kili and Fili. I just found it.
@@aquahexlive im more confused now jajja, i dont know, but what is really true, this fanfilm is great!
@@giordanodanielcorderomejia8324 I agree. I kind of want to know more about Thranduil and the queen of Mirkwood now.
