I love too that they don't talk about all the short yardage our defense got for us to help keep Jalen from throwing he ball as much. If we're running the ball down your throat why fix what's not broken.
Plus a lot of games were put away early by the Eagles...and they just coasted through most 4th quarters (just like the 49'ers game, where the Eagles could have put up 10 more points on them but instead ran the ball) So that prevented Jalen from getting more chances to throw the football...it's common sense.
If my qb was dealing with a shoulder issue on his throwing arm, I would hope he wouldn't have to throw it a bunch. Oline and rbs been playing well. Birds 69-14 scoring in the playoffs 🦅🦅🦅🦅
Seriously. He has multiple highlight throws every game and straight up muscles extra yardage against DBs. They straight up don't watch the games or only watched him in the Niners game
8:35 This take is giving me serious Denver-Seattle vibes about this game... Nick is severely underestimating Jalen Hurts impact for the Eagles and could come back to haunt him.
No need to pass when the Niners can’t stop the run Nick. It kills the clock and the scored almost every possession. Hurts outside of Mahomes was the most beneficial to his team.
A qb isnt just a person who throws the ball. Their in charge of getting to one field to the other no matter what the cause is. He runs, he throws, knows when to give it to a running back. A good quarter bacl can do it all himself, a great quarter back knows he cant do it byself and uses everything hes got.
I'm a Chiefs fan, I like the Eagles, but every Eagles fan I know has worries about Jalen's CURRENT condition and any reasonable fan should. That could be mostly fixed by game day with rest but Jalen left that 49ers game looking worse for ware than Mahomes did post Bengals game. He's hurtin and I dont want to see the fanbase turn on him if he underperforms at the Superbowl because he should have a bright future ahead of him.
Im an eagles fan and im not worried at all about the "injury". Honestly I think everyone is just exaggerating it at this point pretending like the bad game against the niners was because of the shoulder. I think he just had a bad game. It happens.
Nick is sick in the head if he thinks Mahomes will have an easy game against the Eagles Defense. If I were a Chief fan, I would be terrified of this Eagle's Defense. They're fast and violent this year, and they're coming for arms and legs. It's not gonna be blood bath.
It's based on previous games against elite pass rushes. The line he has to protect him is probably top 2 or the best line in football. He'll have juju. Mvs. Kelce. Toney for hopefully the full game. They will score 35-45
The eagles defense is very good but not the best defense (the 49ers are with all due respect) and their strength is on their pass rush and if the eagles can’t consistently get home that’ll hurt them since they play a lot of zone coverage

Also never admits that Mahomes has the best coach in the league. Without Mahomes they went 98 yards down the field for a td flawlessly. Philly got dominated by the Saints without Hurts.
Nick speaks on this topic as someone who never played a sport before . Leadership in most cases is better than skill . Look at Drew Brees & Tom Brady . They was never the best skilled QBs
One problem with Nick argument is that they aren't afraid to let Jalen throw the ball because he's one of the most secure QBs in the league, and even in the 3 games he's played since injury that people say are bad he still hasn't turned the ball over.
I think Jalen is a decent quarterback with an elite quarterback mentality. Whereas there are a some of Elite quarterbacks have a weaker quarterback mentality. I think Jalen’s success this season is due in large part to the way he leads the team and in part because of his play.

Yes he is be disrespected he was not bad in the giants game he did what his team needed to do to running and passing while in the niners he wasn’t great due to his passing against the great numbers 1 defense but he did have good crucial runs so he had one good game and very average or slightly below average game where he still had major impact

Chiefs can play so much better without Mahomes than the eagles without Hurts. They’re much closer to each other with their starting QBs in the game. Which would make Jalen more of a mvp winner than Patrick, because he is more valuable to eagles than Patrick is to the Chiefs.

Yeah, I get what they're saying about the dullness of it. Not a lot of flash. But a lot of teams get it done that way. Ya win in the trenches. I don't think he's getting disrespected. But I'm used to this kind of thing here in Philly. Maybe he'll get more flashy as time passes. His arm is getting better with time. So maybe over the next year or two he'll pick up more yards that way. I'm more of a gunslinger guy myself. But I'll take the wins and rings whichever way they come.😂👍🏻
