Much respect to Jalen. This man has the talent and the heart to be an elite and legendary QB. Chiefs just out played them when needed, and kudos to Andy, his play calling was surgical.
I think he needs to run less though. Maybe Skip is impressed with Jalen's three running TDs but I like QBs that throw the TDs and only run when they can't find an open receiver.
Happy for the Eagles and the Chiefs, both teams deserve mad respect. Fans should be proud, you entertained the entire NFL fan base, was a great game both teams came to ball
Hey man the Philadelphia eagles nothing to be ashamed of It's the closest super bowl in many years or decades. Which means they're at parody with the best of the best. They have many years to come with this great young QB. That's our all and blessings to all from Yahweh God through Jesus Christ my dear people.
Chiefs fan here. Didn't see a lot of Eagles games this year, but they were impressive throughout the playoffs and especially yesterday. I think the field kept both teams from getting more pressure/sacks on QBs. I'm glad nobody got hurt due to it. The two sacks on Hurts were phantom sacks. Hurts stood up to the pressure and looked like he belonged there. He will be a force for years to come. His accuracy was obvious throughout the game and Brown/Smith/Goedert are about the best trio in the league. Sirianni started the game with tears during the anthem and all the Chiefs fans I watched with thought that was pretty cool. He turned up the heat in the first half where he pretty much outcoached Andy. The second half flipped the script and Andy, who has had time-management issues that have cost both teams (ever heard "that's on me, that's something I gotta work on"?), called a nearly flawless second half. Yes, the holding call was unfortunate, but it was a hold. Bradberry's post-game interview was about as humble and honest of one as you'll ever see. Sirianni's post-game comments were equally magnanimous and classy. The Eagles were gracious in defeat in a way that Travis Kelce should study whether he wins or loses. Great game. Would love to see a rematch next year.
1 of the few classy eagles fans out there. It was a great game and both teams played great, I stand w the call cos it is textbook but it would’ve been interesting to see them not call it. Gg’s tho and y’all will 100% be back
The thing about Mahomes I like is that he's a man of his word. He said before the game, the difference between this Super Bowl and the others is that he's learned to trust his teammates and do what it takes to win and not force things trying to be Superman. He "only" threw for 182 yards because that's all he had to do. Pacheco was on Red Bull the entire game getting chunk play after chunk play. Mahomes let him cook and made plays when he needed to.
He only threw for 182 because he wasn't on the field very long and when he was, Andy Reid/Bienemy not only called runs, but the o line actually dominated The Eagles d line so The Chiefs could sustain drives in the second half.... However to your point, Mahomes was sensational as a qb, team leader, and inspirational player... Hurts was even better but his o line couldn't run block for once. Credit KC's d line, lb'ers, and db's. Great game!!
You can’t put that on the refs. I think the Jalen Hurts fumble, the 70 yard kick return and the Eagles defense not getting 1 sack or interception had more to do with the loss than 1 pass interference call.
Yeah. And if the Chiefs had gotten their challenge, it might never have been a tie game in the first place. It just seems like there's something wrong when that defensive TD got called back because "not a catch" and the other one was a catch. Still, I would have loved to see the Eagles get a chance to come back in the last 1.5 minutes

As a Eagles fan I can admit that jus that Flag didn’t decide the game our defense was terrible in the 4th but I’m happy we made it this far and I’m proud of Jalen for shuttin up all the haters, we will be back🦅🦅💯
Yes. The Eagle defense got Zero sacks. And I thought the Chiefs defense really stepped up. I had them pegged as the weakest link, but I believe they scored 12 (really only 6) points. But when that Eagles O-line wanted one yard, the took it - repeatedly.
Skip calling Baloney on himself. Eagles had all kinds of holes in their defense and they couldn't sack a hobbled QB because they had never faced an elite offense except for Jaguars. Nick Siriani knew what he was doing. His clock grinding offense is designed to limit defense exposure and it almost worked.
I believe it was the D holding them for that punt! I knew that if they could hold them that play, KC could win it. What an amazing turn of events! The punt return was the icing on the cake!
I hate that a classic game was basically sealed after that call, but I also hate that Bradberry got out of position and held. The game was in the hands of a ref at that moment because he put it there. Bradberry hoped they would let it slide and it backfired. Gotta live with that.
Yep I hate that they missed the PI on JuJu's slant route earlier in the game. I also hate the reversed fumble call. I also hated that the Chiefs would've gone up 3 anyways if the hold wasn't called. Hate hate hate hate
@jpap967 it's definitely not like the Chiefs got a bunch of favorable calls, because I don't think they did. I (like most fans) wanted a more dramatic ending, but we didn't get that because of Bradberry, not the ref.
#24 from Philly had been holding several times and they let him get away with a penalty. I’m glade they finally called that penalty because who’s to say that JUJu couldn’t make a diving catch. It was a very good game and I think the reefs actually was natural and both teams played lights out and all the fans got to enjoy a great game!!!! Congratulations to the chiefs!!!!
There was many, MANY penalties overlooked on both sides. Eagles were more penalized than the chiefs. The refs set the tone. They were going to let them play ball. I was all for that. Let them play. But, ALL OF A SUDDEN a ticky tacky barely a hold within 5 yards of the line of scrimmage and doesn’t impede his progress warranted a flag. A late flag. As soon as you saw it was overthrown, out came a flag. Best superbowl in history ruined and a tainted win for the chiefs.

Shannon is right. You don't decide calls based on the moment, you decide them based on the rules. People are crying about "rigged and scripted" but there is nothing more rigged than ignoring penalties so that the game has a more dramatic ending.
Sometimes calling all the penalties can ruin a game in the playoffs just like in the NBA with fouls. The refs have influence over winners and losers to some degree.

To be fair, that was legit. The player has to make a football move for it to be considered a fumble. It is an incomplete pass. I think the issue here with the holding call was that there was more blatant holding calls in earlier parts of the game that the Refs didn't call. But in the final two minutes; the Ref called a "ticky tock" (that's what they called it) hold call that decided the game. Overall tho, a penalty is still a penalty.
Jalen made 1 mistake, Mahommes made none. The defenses were both shredded, though KC turned it on in the second half and got a couple stops…I’ll say that the field made both D’s struggle getting to the passer, Reddick was slipping on about every rush.

That’s what makes him and Brady in a tier of their own. Mahomes is only gonna get better

Philly needed one stop in the 2nd half. Just didn't get it. KC was just better.
We'll be back in the mix next year.
Yeah. And if the Chiefs had gotten their challenge, it might never have been a tie game in the first place. It just seems like there's something wrong when that defensive TD got called back because "not a catch" and the other one was a catch. Yes!
The Eagles Oline was equally impressive in my opinion. Fantastic game on both sides with a rough call at the end that spoiled the endings.
The Chiefs changed cleats because of the horrible turf…did the Eagles do the same?
Yes. The Eagle defense got Zero sacks. And I thought the Chiefs defense really stepped up. I had them pegged as the weakest link, but I believe they scored 12 (really only 6) points. But when that Eagles O-line wanted one yard, the took it - repeatedly.
As a former 150 lb. offensive guard, I was very impressed by the OL of both teams. Great game Philly! Goooo Chiefs!

That damn punt return was the spark for the chiefs 😳
Watching in real time was crazy !

I hate that a classic game was basically sealed after that call, but I also hate that Bradberry got out of position and held. The game was in the hands of a ref at that moment because he put it there. Bradberry hoped they would let it slide and it backfired. Gotta live with that.
I hate that the chiefs were robbed a 6 points on an obvious fumble but I guess even when the reffs helped the eagles stay in the game they still lost
Yep I hate that they missed the PI on JuJu's slant route earlier in the game. I also hate the reversed fumble call. I also hated that the Chiefs would've gone up 3 anyways if the hold wasn't called. Hate hate hate hate

I agree about the penalty. But nah you didn't see that ball, he wasn't catching it regardless of the hold.

Kc O-Line was the real MVP
Shoutout to them 💪
Hurts hurt himself when he fumble and gave the mahomie kid a chance to an easy touchdown, mahomes played the rope adope with ankle. Beautiful game
I knew that Hurt's fumble for a return TD would come back to haunt Philly, that was the play that Made the most difference this game IMO..
I was thinking of the punt return by the chiefs dude, that was a game changer
Probably that pass interference they didn't call
@@k.d.6881 Kordarius Toney is his name put some respect on it #19
@@42killac toney is a first round pick that was supposed to be a number 1 receiver. Now he is just a punt returner.
Pipe down Blackie.
@@k.d.6881 you don't think a fumble return for a td that tied the game when the eagles were on the verge of going up 21 to 7 was more impact full? Without that td the punt return would mean nothing because the eagles would still be up.
This guys just make me smile man 🤣
As an Eagles fan, I've seen a couple other games this season that went the same way, the defense decided to pack it in after the first half.
Anyone who has to say they’re an eagles fan isn’t an eagles fan.
Def a game of 2 halves.
@@serious409 WTF does that even mean you idiot 🤣🤣🤣🤣
Could you have not made this observation if you weren’t an Eagles fan?
@@Eatpunch Seems like he prefaced it because it showed that he watches the games, all of them. Like, I'm a Chiefs fan so I watch every single Chiefs games. But I've only seen the Eagles play...once. So maybe pay attention to what he said about the defense and little less time on whining about whether or not he's a fan.
Both teams played incredible and there was mistakes on both sides of the ball.
Mahomes won super bowl MVP and League MVP in the same season that hasn’t happened since 1999, he broke the curse 💪🏽
It should have been Hurst but the agenda was for the Chiefs to win.
@@33ladyRAM it would have been Allen if he didn’t get hurt superbowl and the mvp. Asterisk on the chiefs eagles outplayed them.
@@33ladyRAM let’s be honest we all know Patrick was hurt and wasn’t playing at 100%. If hurts put performed him for 1 game so what. It happens.
Out*
@@yoshpeters3079 except the Eagles had more turnovers and choked on special teams
Mahomes too good. What a phenom
I didn't disagree
The Eagles stopped the aggressive play in the 3rd quarter and got out coached by Andy Reid. Great win Kansas City.
Not really
@Jausc the eagles outscored them to begin with so wouldn't that suggest it was pretty close and not one team dominating the other? You are so ready to make fun of somebody lol I hardly said anything TWO WORDS doesn't really look like crying
When it comes to route running and how holding can alter a route I think I’m going to take the word of the HOF receiver
But Greg Olsen, who played the same position as Shannon for a similar amount of years, said it shouldn't have been called. Even among pros this call was highly controversial.
yes he was a few yards short of the ball. nobody is talking about that but if it had gone farther or shorter they may not have called it. But since he got grabbed and it delayed him enough that he couldn't catch up to the ball. It looked that way
@@ursula3438 don’t ever compare Olsen to Uncle Shay 😂
@@ursula3438 HOF and you called who? Man FOH it was a good call.
Bradbury was doing that all game and getting away with it. He even was doing pass interferences and getting away with it
Never count out #15 especially in the 2nd half. KC's defense made big time stops at crucial moments and that huge punt return from Toney sparked an additional fire
Not that many people talking about Toney's return. Great play and terrible execution by the Eagles' punting unit. Without that huge chunk play, maybe the Chiefs don't score, or maybe Philly gets another possession.
Can’t count out 15# and the refs they’re the best combo in the nfl
@@brodya3181 I really don’t see Patrick Mahomes living this down
Toney❤Go Gators!
In another multiverse we would see shannon celebrate mahomeboys 3rd vs skip 😂😢
This guy take sports commentary to the next level. I mean who opens the segment drinking on the job 😁
Shannon sharpe
I love how Skip Bayless can never just say? “You were right Shannon, I was wrong” 😂
Defeats the purpose of the show💀
Skip is purely stupid just for the sake of content. Nobody is actually as blind as the way he acts
Skip has been and will continue to be a clown 🤡
Except in this case, Skip is right.
They here too disagree!!!! Even if Skip agrees with Shannon
I love Mahomes. Class act
Overrated. Has the smartest coach in football.
@Savage TV watch some of his college games, the man kept tech in every game for the better part of 3 years through sheer will and talent. It takes both great coaching and a great player to make a perennial mvp competitor
@@savagetv6460perfectly said
@@redbeard5939I would love to see him play without Andy as his coach.
@neetrab If it's all Reid why didn't he win it all with McNabb or Smith and why did the Eagles fire him so long ago?
never heard a guy ADMIT to committing a penalty, and every one else is like "nah you don't know what you talking about, that's no penalty"
