When Brady won ring #2, nobody was comparing him to Joe Montana or Terry Bradshaw. Here's THE reason Patrick will never eclipse Tom: last night's tackle before first half almost snapped his ankle. Think RG3, running QB's take physical abuse, one wrong hit, and your done, if he keeps running he will find out the hard way.

In 2021, Brady at age 44 was statistically better than Mahomes.
      Mahomes: 37 TD, 13 INT, 4839 Yds, 66.3%
      Brady: 43 TD, 12 INT, 5316 Yds, 67.5%
Mahomes is amazing and definitely on pace to become the 2nd best of all time and possibly compete for the GOAT status. But we have to wait for him to win 5 more SBs and also see how he plays at age 44 as well.

This was mahomes 5th year starting. But they are comparing it to bradys numbers at 27 after brady's 3rd season starting. The numbers get much better if you compare their first 5 years starting.
That being said, Mahomes is the only one in the league right now who can sniff Brady's legacy. His talent is undeniable and with the coach he has now, the tight end, and his contract that will look more and more team friendly as the years go by, he has a chance.

    3 Game SB sample size
    Player A: 256 YPG 6 TDs 1 INT 65% completion. 98 PR (3-0) 2 SB MVPs
    Player B: 245 YPG 5 TDs 4 INT 61% completion. 87PR (2-1) 2 SB MVPs
Player A: Tom Brady in his first 3 Superbowls (3-0) 2001-2004
Player B: Mahomes in his first 3 Superbowls (2-1) 2019-2022
Not to mention the legendary playcalling on offense Mahomes has had (best ever), much superior weapons (Pats weapons were aming the worst in the league) and the OLine. Also the era Brady played in those 3 and the Mahomes era were way way different when it comes to rules. It was much harder to put up stats back then.
