Removing STUCK Oil Filter CAP on my BMW !!!

    Thanks for sharing us this method. Breaking the cap into pieces was actually the only option that worked for me 😀😀😀

      Did u actually broke into pieces and u were not able to twist with the hole?

    I cant loosen it even after breaking the top, what did you do after 2:10

    I was able to remove mine without destroying it.
    1. Measure diameter of filter (75mm for my Mondeo
    2. Buy appropriate sized heavy duty exhaust clamp (74-79mm for Mondeo)
    3. Place something round filter so clamp can grip. I made a rubber band from bike inner tube.
    4. Place clamp over band and filter and tighten.
    5. When you think tight enough hit the clamp nut with large screw driver using hammer.
    6. After you have loosened it re-tighten to correct torque.

    So were able to twist it with the holes or you broke into pieces, mine already half broken and so far spent about £30.00 still no sign of even shake..

    having the same problem on my and wondering why the f*ck is it made of plastic if it has to be so tight. They could've made it a smaller bolt and metal.

    Before instaling a filter you ned to lube threads inside filter housing also threads of filter cup.

    Nice video... But how you removed the threaded part that was inside?

      I used screw and hammer to break the oil filter free from the housing. Then used tissues to clean the remaining debris. Hope this helps.

      Just got done with this, it was an oil change from hell but thanks for the video it helped a lot
