I was denied disibility for PTSD because my experience was not verifiable. Although all their psychiatrists said I have severe, 100% disability and work ability. It has been several years now since my claim was denied.
My claim has been going on since 2016 (anxiety depression PTSD) first they did C&P for anxiety depression later came back and said they did the wrong paperwork C and P for PTSD add examiner was inept. it’s hanging on some judges desk and I have other medical conditions that I can’t claim because that is just hanging around without an answer hopefully I’ll die and save the government money. Yeah it’s three in the morning I have intractable migraine and my cardiac monitor is going off . well I am service-connected for Cardiac generous at 10% I hate to bitch and whine but it’s just ridiculous
I have been denied before. I have been to Iraq twice both times I've been in combat. I've seen friends with life changing injuries, dead bodies, also been hit with roadside bombs and have a Combat Infantry Badge to prove I was in combat and seen horrible things and I still got a 0% rating.
Wow what horrible stories but sadly I can relate. I have been diagnosed with ptsd yet I have been denied twice. It seems like the va plays games with us and that's heart breaking. I hope we all are rightly compensated for our selfless service
Absolutely Agree..I've seen this work. A buddy of mine had been diagnosed in service with depression at least 20yrs prior to filing his claim. He was able to win his claim--even without having his SMRs (his VSO told him the best route to take was to claim 'Mental Health Disorder,' and allow the examiner to tell him what he had, instead of locking himself into a specific disability). My buddy had been hell-bent on claiming PTSD prior to following the advice of his VSO. It also worked in his favor that he'd sought therapy at a local Vet Ctr for anxiety/depression on/off for the past year or two, prior to submitting the claim. Seeking help, also helps. 😊
Great information. Wish I had come to you before I submitted my claim for PTSD, which although the VA agreed that I have 100% disibility, I couldn't prove service connected. They really do treat you as though your're trying to defraud the VA.
Hi Mike, thank you. We are glad you found this video informative. If you feel you need our assistance for anything, please feel free to give us a call at 407-537-9000. Thank you!
I think it's hard for us Navy guys but I have proof I have my official awards letters showing I'm entitled to wear the CBR. I even have a newspaper article about my ship being attacked by mig jets.
Yes but the gov will hand out billions to fight the war in UKRAINE yet not provide additional money to the veterans that put their life on the line for this country -- very sad
AND THAT FIGHT against the VA IS LONGER, MORE STRESSFUL, AND THE MOST DISRESPECTFUL AND DISHEARTENING ! 🤬 We FOUGHT for THE freedoms of THESE PEOPLE, who want to turn around and say to our faces….. YOU DESERVE NOTHING ! 🤬😡🤬😡🤬😡🤬😡🤬🤬 If it wasn’t for US 🫡, THERE WOULDN’T BE A U.S. !🇺🇸 I GET PISSED EVERY TIME I THINK ABOUT THIS. 🤬
This is great information. Thanks! I'm starting the process to claim for mental health due to service in Iraq. I'll be reviewing this video again before I actually file my claim.
it's sad that people and the government say "THANKS TO OUR MEN AND WOMEN IN UNIFORM AND THANKS FOR YOUR SACRIFICE, YET THEY REALLY DON'T CARE". I served my country and THAT IN AND OF ITSELF is a stressor, the long work hours (min 50-60 hour work weeks), arduous duty zones (threat of your barracks being hit my a mortar), missing loved ones for months, sometimes years, the constant moving every 3-4 years or sooner, the terrible lifestyle choices availability for shift workers (poor food choices and workout opportunities) so they (VA) needs to consider THAT alone as being worthy of monetary compensation. The fact you have to FIGHT so hard only does one thing, ADDS MORE STRESS.
Thank you So much for the Tips! I am filing for the first time and am going for my C&P exams this week, My VA Rep. Put me in for All of them as you've stated to try and make sure if one don't come back but the others do I don't get denied. 'AA All The Way"
I had a terrible C&P psych examiner. I think you were correct on the PTSD label. I told her what my symptoms were, To make a short story long.. I was a Flight Engineer on A/F C-141B during Desert Storm/Shield/Iraqi freedom, etc. We used to fly at night to deliver materials/cargo, etc. More than once after starting our approach we were alerted that scuds were launched close to our area. We took evasive actions. I still get nightmares from those episodes. My C&P examiner said that I had flying phobia. She was telling a 14,000hr, 23yrs flying crew member that I'm afraid of flying. I didn't say anything to her, but I sure wanted to, & it wasn't going to be friendly. They gave me a combined 30% for stuff, all non-combat related. You think going the Acquired Psychiatric Disorder is a better route. Again Thank you for your videos & God Bless!!!
The VA gave me 30% for MDD instead....on a flimsy C&P.....but since that took me to 100% P&T I left it alone because there was no back pay involved. Thanks for doing this video
I was diagnosed with Major Depressive Disorder. But the VA says its not service related. After serving in Desert Shield/ Storm and seeing the 100s of dead soldiers scattered about the Desert, watching a buddies Hummvee blown apart and smelling the stench of death for days...they say I don't have PTSD and depression is not service connected?!?!? Thanks a lot VA
I was denied. Did four deployments. Had post deployment surveys saying everything, a in service sleep study with an insomnia qualifier (but undiagnosed), combat infantryman badge, and more. 7 years after my discharge I finally get PTSD with insomnia service connected
A electrical panel blew in my face in full flames and im surprised that im not deaf. Thank God. My military doctor only diagnosed me adjustment disorder but im having flashbacks and delusions daily and frequent. While im talking to someone, or in a filled room. Noise bothers me so much. That i tear up.’ I cant even stay in therapy sit and still hearing others problems.
Adjustment disorder was the knee jerk diagnosis to everything for decades, walk it off being the cure. How do thousands get that fixed in their records
10 years removed from service, im finally going to claim. glad you made this, i was going either the tbi or ptsd routine, stressor was an ied attack on my convoy, another was a rocket attack on the base that killed a member of my squad
Everyone in my squad witnessed the shooting of a marine by a fellow marine. I described how it still gives me nightmares in my statement in spt of claim. Ptsd c&p next month.
We are so sorry that you and others had to witness such a tragedy. I have linked some great written blogs on our website here that may help with your upcoming exam. www.hillandponton.com/ptsd-stressor-verification/ www.hillandponton.com/part3-compensation-and-pension-exams-for-ptsd/
I filed back in 2016 for anxiety, depression, PTSD. Finally last week I saw the veteran appeals judge. Not listen or speak to a representative only to me. all she was interested in was if I had PTSD. I mentioned that I had claimed all three and she did not care! PTSD is in my VA record but who cares
I got out in 2006. I was on the USS Cole when it got bombed in 2000. I filed for PTSD & got denied. They gave me 30% for anxiety /depressed mood instead. Should I re-open my claim for PTSD?
I was diagnosed over the phone with PTSD in order to receive my Florida medical Cannabis Card. I took that exact PTSD diagnosed document and applied it to the VA Compensation for PTSD and received a 70% for PTSD. Now I have legal weed and 70% to help buy more weed :)
I'd heard some State VA clinics had studied 420, mushrooms, X, etc., & were even providing it like any other Rx.. hopefully, they'll be allowed to resume doing so, & standardize it as a treatment nationwide. it's the only drug (edibles) I've tried (of many) that helps. quickly. w/out the side-effects. PTSD numbs my life. I'd rather be a Stoner than an Rx Zombie.
@@genebold9544 im with you, starting the process after 48 years of tuffing it out and going to the dark side finally. Pot seems to help me, but illegal here in ky. Have to take harder doctor drugs to keep my sanity. Good luck and thanks for your words, let's me know I'm not alone
I know this has been many years ago. My husband is a Navy Corpsman during the Vietnam Era. His discharge was in 1976. He was not over seas. But he did work in surgery as a surgical tech at the Orlando Naval Training Center. Had to hold a leg while it was amputated. I think that he should be able to get PTSD. It was traumatic for him. It was one of his first surgery's. He does have depression & anxiety. Sleep apnea has a CPAP & ringing in his ears. He was also stationed at Camp LeJeune with the Marines. Was in Vegas with them for 3 months. My husband is now 70 & don't know if he could have a case. Any help please
Acquired Psychiatric Disorder does not have a diagnostic code in 38 CFR Part 4. Better to get a diagnosis of one of the mental health conditions listed in Part 4 (other the Adjustment Disorder under 9440 - as that is considered a short term disability - 6 months or less) or just get mental health hooked up on a secondary basis to something else that is already service connected. As all mental health is rated under the same rating criteria you're only going to have one mental health rating regardless of how many diagnoses you may have been given due to Pyramiding under 38 CFR 4.14. Take the path of least resistance. The point of the video should be a PTSD diagnosis doesn't matter so long as you can establish service connection for any mental health diagnosis.
I am being treated for PTSD I've Lost many many friends from suicide and it really really sucks and has caused me a great deal of distress on top of 21 years of field Artillery shooting Howitzers deployed Overseas, trained everywhere etc... I had several life-threatening situations that occurred that affected me while I was in service Howitzers blowing up on the Korean D.M.Z. and other things like that. fighting, etc.. etc.. etc.. now i have recurring bad dreams and serious sleep disorders I cannot get consistent good sleep recently the V.A. has been assisting me with TREATMENT for PTSD with medicine to assist me with anxiety as well as being calmer generally. I've had many many issues as it relates to PTSD and anxiety and Now I am finally dealing with it HEAD ON! I really need to get this help. I miss the Marines but it took a toll on my body and my Mind I have a really bad knee injury as well as a bulging disc from lifting Howitzers and carrying 100-pound rounds all over the place.
So it sounds like specificity can cause issues, because then they just have to disprove that one specific thing. I also saw in other videos that it seems like the VA tries to avoid confirming PTSD, because it's bad publicity. Maybe that's also why the bar to prove the claim is so high. If PTSD ratings are too high, it could have significant impacts on new joins and retentions.
If your DD214 show’s deployment in a combat zone, should you file a 21-0781 for an acquired mental health disorder, since you aren’t specifically filing for PTSD? Thanks.
I'm watching closely ! I have a service connected, 20% disability. In the early 80's I went thru TAP school and upon discharge filed all claims according to my medical record. Subsequently filed as trained. The VA denied all my claims completely. I moved and filed again in another location and received (1) claim for 10% service connected. I never bothered filing again as it appeared the examiners could not read a medical record in black and white. Later on I sent a civilian MRI and refiled the claim and got 20%. With 28 years of flying and most of my adult life in the service, i now am suffering with the same problems the VA denied years ago. I'm filing again now I'M retired and going to file again with more documentation. Thanks for the video !
I was attacked in my room by my Sgt. and his friend one night he was told I put a stretch on his truck I ended up with head damage with stretches and out on bed rest for a week. They did an investigation and found out who did it and demoted my Sgt. to a Spec4 and made him apologize to me in front of formation for a week. I ended up being transferred to another unit due to this matter. Can I claim PTSD?
Yes, It did back in 1981 but they gave me 30% in 2020 for the scar it left on my forehead and another 20% for MMD that I received in 2023 is this a form of PTSD@@TC.....
I’m being medborded for PTSD, Major Depression Disorder and Narcolepsy. I understand they’re combining my MDD with PTSD since it’s both mental. They sent my decision letter but I have yet to see it yet. I have a diagnosis, nexus, the whole 9 yards. Went to IOP for 1 month and an Inpatient/outpatient hospital for 3 weeks. Maxed out on almost all medications and they barely do much. Very anxious to see what they say about me.. 2022 April would make 5 years in the Army.
We hope you get the rightful disability benefits you've earned for serving and sacrificing for our country. Good luck and if you need help appealing, you know where to find us. Cool profile picture btw!
HP is representing me, I was denied mental health and ptsd non combat, moral injury dealing with dead kids on duty and a suicide of a friend while he was duty. and 1 year in okinawa I had 3 events that caused me psych problems and it seems in the decision they ignored that entire year. Was all denied. A chopper went down on the way to our island and all died. I was on standby to get a ride back...Cant find a buddy from there 1968. One would think the JSRRC would find the chopper crash in 1968
I haven't filed a claim nor was I deployed down range. I was actually in the national guard and when I returned from basic and AIT life was good. But I had a close friend that you could say was my mentor. he served 8 years, was deployed 3 times. So I took to him like a brother. One day he called me in the middle of the night so it's real late so I didn't answer I wasn't sure what he wanted to do probably go drinking or something. Little did I know he took his life that night, on top of that I had 2 of my best friends die around the same time. Make it even worse the one died in a car wreck, and he called me too and I didn't pick up the phone either because I thought the same thing. As for the last one he died from an illness and wanted me to come see him in the hospital but I was so depressed I couldn't bear to go and he died the next day. Losing three of my close friends all in one month and knowing that I could have answered the phone in the outcomes probably would have been different really sent me into a spiral. To lose one friend from suicide that I never stopped would ever take his own life makes you also contemplate on taking the easy way out of this world. I never said anything to anyone at drill about it because I felt like people would see me just trying to use his death for my own personal gain. But here I am almost 10 years later and I still can't let it all go. Probably not claim worthy just one sad story.
I am currently going through the process for a military related injury. I am in Australia and the requirements are that the fact you were in the service and a t a later in your life you develop a mental disorder Going through the process and not having looked at the decision in the past 2 years I picked up my file and commenced to peruse all the documentation. Not do I only have PTSD I have a spinal injury. During the trial for compensation, I cross-examined the Orthopedic Surgeon who claimed that with such a n Injury I would not have been able to walk and would have been hospitalized. For a Tribunal hearing such evidence would be extremely damaging to my credibility. Then the Shrink's evidence stated that I was dishonorably discharged from the Navy.. The Department of Defense was unable to locate my discharge documents. Prior to my Medico with the Shrink my own Shrink said to time the consultation. I did, It lasted 20 minutes. The low-down SOB of courses denies any such thing. It is one thing I do have left is my Honor. The Shrink handed me a charge sheet that referred to a fight that I had when I was in the Navy. I remembered the instant even after 40 years. This of course was an ambush tactic, "I gotcha Moment" I slowly plod away at my case and found that the charge Sheet I had recently had a Forensic Document Examiner look at the document and has stated that he will give evidence the document is a forgery. . In between years I am a Ship's Master Class (1) I also have a Master's degree in Law With longer 50 years past I am still working at it.. I also purchased the book on Mental disorders (DMC-5 at NO time did the shrink refer to any issues that could be found in DSM - 5 under the heading PTSD. Not only do you have to get around bureaucratic jungle, they lie to your face.
Just got denied for ptsd claim after C&P exam. The denial letter left out the DBQ I submitted from a non-VA psychiatrist diagnosing me with ptsd. C&P evaluator didn’t mention the DBQ. Positive outcome was the VA stated I had a Stressor.
I'm at 70% however not for my PTSD.....which by the way I have been diagnosed with. Due to being raped in the military by another service member from another branch the was pretty high ranking. I was threatened with my life and I was terrified. But because I can't prove the rape I was denied. Even though they have hospital records from me having to go the the ER the following day due to have an allergic reaction to latex. Its such bull💩. At this point its been over 10 yrs. And I just am tired of feeling like I have to prove it to the VA.

@@HillAndPonton Thank you so much for responding. I really appreciate the support. I read one of the blogs and it says something about proving it with evidence and here's where stiff gets sticky. Its a long story relating to my rape however my best friend witnessed it and was the main reason he stopped and ran. However she was threatened as well cause she joined the military to get her citizenship and was threatened that if she spoke they would have it denied. Not sure how all that works but she was terrified and still is till this day. We've talked about it and she was gonna write a letter stating she witnessed the attack but she got nervous and her husband ended up contacting me saying he was scared for her and I didn't want to make her do anything that made her feel that way so I just dropped the whole situation. It was and still is a big a** mess. Thanks again for reaching out and helping.
My PTSD claim was denied, though I was being treated by the VA (LPC, LCSW) and private LCSW for PTSD but a VA Psychiatrist/PHD Psychologist had not given me an actual diagnosis. How does one hand not care what the other hand is doing?
I had similar thought related to documentation. It is one section has no idea what records or any information the other has on file. Assume they know nothing and have a copy potentially with information highlighted in statements, tabs anything to with the written copy that is needed so they don't have to look for it because they will not look hard. The Waco vsa found records and let me know if i had changed statement wording it would have been approved and although had surgery during deployment on record as non service related till I put in my copy of the paperwork.
All depends on how you play the game because that's what it is. I just went through a C&P for increased rating. The increase was denied. Here's another thing, I was being treated for PTSD by VA medical long before I was given the current 50% rating.
I have been out since 2002, still fighting for ptsd . Witnessed another man being sucked into an intake of a F-14 tomcat and I have nightmares about . I hate ceiling fans because all I think of is a helo blowing me overboard. On the other side I watched a marine die on a normal pt run , he was at ccu which we know never happened according to the waiver we sign going there. They gave me 30 percent non service connection and the Dr. Retired a few months later. Wtf?
The VA gave me 50% for: Other specified trauma, and stressor related disorder. ...including, anxiety, suspiciousness, mild memory loss, disturbances of motivation and mood, suicidal ideation. There are a couple of others that are covered under the umbrella. I don’t know how they can have an umbrella for so many different things. Would it be worth having a talk?

I had a previous mental condition before, my recruiter said it was ok and he would send my meds. I got triggered during service and it made me worse and they put me out and denied all my claims.
@@HillAndPonton it's in their own laws/regulations! If there's nothing in the records then buddy letters can be used. But once again they denied me when I used 4 statements from 3 shipmates... The VA is a propaganda machine...
My MST has been denied twice. There was a proven stressor, however, they sent my clinicians notes to a secondary clinician to see if they agreed, then denied my entire claim. I asked for the notes of the secondary clinician and was told there was no secondary clinician. I appealed the decision and magically they found on error on their part that they would not tell me what it was. Now, I have to do, yet another c&p but virtual tomorrow and I am freaking out. What happened to the first set of notes and the second clinician's notes? What was the error? I hate re-living the trauma...I'm super frustrated. HELP

I just got denied for migraines because my personal doctor put headaches and migraines in my medical records. Since I filed both migraines and headaches the va combined them in one (Migraines/Headaches), but denied. Filing HLR now I'm waiting on that call to finally speak to someone.
Being TDY to Mortaritaville for 8 months didn't give me PTSD supposedly it's called (Major depressive order, Bipolar disorder, boarder line personality, Schizophrenia) everything except PTSD listed in VA denial letter. Been fighting since 2015, 5 yrs later nothings changed except the number of jobs I've held in a yr ranging from Govt contracting to Walmart all which were held less than 6 months each.

Hey Josh, I am a Nam Vet and have had over 60 jobs since the mid 70's. And numerous divorces. I have severe PTSD which the VA agrees is 100% but say it's not service related. I suggest getting a lawyer that only handles Veteran's claims. They know the best way to get you help. Good luck brother and thanks for your service.
I retired in 2006, my wife has told me many times that she thinks I have PTSD because when I returned from Iraq I was different in ways. Well fast forward to 2022. Where would I even start? Should I file for "Intent to file"? Go see a psychiatrists? Any advice would be helpful. Thanks. Also heard Depression vs PTSD so which should I file in since mental illness falls under both?
Great Video...Question. I was Assaulted at 2AM Sound Asleep.aborard an Aircraft Carrier..The person who did this escaped and never identified But the Wrench left a 4 " Scar on my Left cheek and Hospital Corpsman sewed up my bloody wound. This is on my.service medical Record, and PTSD was noted and the medical record shows this Ttumatic event. How does VA look at this Rating Wise?
I just got the ptds form to fill out and i have evidence to support my claim. I kept my awards letters stating what happened and saying i was awarded a CBR.
Filed claim for pstd August 2017, stressors used were death of my 3 year old nephew while i was on deployment on the USS kitty hawk 2005 and the death of my friend on board the uss kitty hawk, he fell off the ship lost at sea. I proved evidence of both stressors by submitting an obituary and a Navy times newspaper article. I went to the c&p exam and the examiner diagnosed me Major Depressive Disorder and stated that it was "More likely than not" occurred during service. The VA denied my claim November 2017. What should I do to get the VA to service connect me??
Hi there, we are sorry to hear about the loss of your dear nephew and friend. Unfortunately, we see Veterans commonly denied the benefits that they are rightfully entitled to and it is sad. Is your claim still active on appeal?
@@HillAndPonton the claim is currently in Higher Level Review. Don't know what to expect. I have thought about withdrawing the claim from Higher level review.
So - is a VA PTSD claim limited ONLY to combat Veterans? I worked as a first responder in the Army - I was a nurse in an ER here in the states 1973 to 1976 - I saw more death than I want to remember from gun shot wounds, trauma and heart attacks. Are you telling me that I can't file a claim - even though I have ALL of the symptoms of PTSD from losing patients that I couldn't save?
Hi Jack, PTSD claims are not limited to just combat veterans. We actually have a video coming soon where we interview a C&P Examiner and he details non-combat traumatic situations where a veteran may develop PTSD and receive compensation. Think events like car accidents while in active duty, among other examples. Stay tuned to our RUclips page for that!

I had filed a secondary/ supplemental claim for COPD, CVD (heart) and Depression and Anxiety. Went to C&P exam and doc said I had been misdiagnosed for several mental disorders but he said I should have been diagnosed 16 years ago for severe PTSD. He said I have severe PTSD.. Will see what VA rates me.. (I’m a Vietnam Veteran)
I have a mental health appointment getting ready for C&P exam to be set. Do you need someone close you to kill themselves in front of you to be traumatized by it? My tinnitus causes headaches, I sleep maybe 4 hours a night every night, I have anxiety, depression, I wake up in cold sweat when I finally do get to sleep. What are my options? Q: During a C&P Psych appointment, do they write up an "Acquired Psychiatric Disorder" to provide as proof, to the VA for PTSD Disability Claim for compensation?
I have a ptsd claim in 2006 I was treated by va for depression anxiety and insomnia, but did not have ptsd diagnosis. I have combat action badge and multiple sufficient stressors from my deployment. I was in guard, and received no treatment while deployed. I believe I would have a better chance of proving ptsd than a service connection to another psychiatric disorder. The c&p examiner said I did not have ptsd but had adjustment disorder with depression, anxiety, and insomnia. In recent years my ptsd has increased in severity and the va has finally given me the ptsd diagnosis. My question is I have been told I can do a cue motion on my 2006 claim but am wondering if it may be a dta claim from watching some of your videos and seeing dta is easier to get.
The va contracted doctor gave me a c&p exam for ptsd the doctor stated I had 2 stressors that caused my ptsd and was caused by military service a training accident they sent for records of this could not find anything the va wants proof that it happened i have 2 buddy statements that seen what happened shouldn't this be enough to win my claim please give me some answers

I have been diagnosed with PTSD. In 2017 my my claim has been denied I have appealed my case 3 or 4 time. My case is at the VA Court now. Been there over 2 years. I am on three med. but I am still denied. Just waiting on the court now. So can you help me. Are what do I do now
Hi Rick, I'm sorry to hear you've been denied so many times. We help veterans with the appeals process for service connected compensation. If you'd like to speak to us for a free case evaluation you can give us a call or request a call here: www.hillandponton.com/free-case-evaluation/va-evaluation/
It can help, but your VA psychologist is not going to be the C&P examiner assigned to your claim (if you are given one). We get clients all the time who get treatment at the VA for the condition they're claiming and yet they're denied outright. You'll want to bolster your claim with evidence however you can. Hopefully your claim is successful but do not be totally alarmed if there's a denial.
Please, help! My dad is at 40% & he has just received the VA’s funny math on his last rating. This has been a 3 year battle & I’m overwhelmed! Is lawyer my only option at this point?
Does the VA recognize a break-in/home burglary a stressor for a PTSD/Mental health disorder claim? I was on active duty living on base housing with my wife and newborn child when this occurred.
I've been fighting with the VA over PTSD for 2 years. I found out November 2021 it was due to not having a diagnosis. I'm sure my decision letter said that in legalese... but im not fluent. Would changing to Acquired Psychological Disorder make my effective date reset or would it still be from the original claim submission?
What about domestic violence? I was Guard, he was Reserve. Married 7 years and 7 years of physical and emotional abuse. On anxiety meds, panic attacks. You only hear about combat related. Do I even have a shot?
Hi Shannon, so sorry to hear about the tragic events you went through domestically. PTSD is not just a combat-only mental health condition. How does getting a rating for mental health issues affect purchasing guns? There is such a stigma with PTSD or other issues that new ATF forms ask if you've been diagnosed. Just because people have these issues doesn't mean they aren't responsible....

Thank you for the information. The VA and private Psychologist diagnosed me with Severe MDD and chronic PTSD. I haven’t filed as of date. I did put an intent to file in though. Also, should I claim one condition at a time or multiple as a fully developed claim? Thank you.
Hi Mark, we understand that the process can be overwhelming. However, Attorney Matthew Hill does give some great recommendations in this video for filing for Mental Health conditions that I feel you would find very helpful in making decisions for your claim. I have linked the video again here ruclips.net/video/LjXabi8bXB8/видео.html
I served in the Gulf War stay 8 on front line. A very different person came back home from the War, it was not me. In the year of 1995 VA sent me a letter to come to the VA hospital to get diagnose for PTSD but instead of diagnosing the issue the young so-called doctor told me I was there to received a check from the GOVERMENT. My first thought was to choke the living shit out of him, but i thought about my kids so I knock everything off his desk and left the building because i was pissed. After putting my life on the line so he can become a doctor in the free country. As the years passed by I realized I made a mistake by leaving because I'm dealing with the problems of ptsd bad. I reapplied and the VA said it was not service - related, i did not join the service with this problem. So like I told the VA I want them to acknowledge that this is service related and HELP ME I want to play with my grandson again.
Has Your VA Claim been denied for PTSD or other mental health claims? Tell me below!
Make a video please on personal assault ..I was attacked by fellow shipmate and punished but the capt didn't put it in my report it in my records
"It's Hard To Be More Imaginative Than The VA" . Quote of the day.
Sometimes you just can't help but laugh at some of the ridiculous things we see from VA. Thanks for watching!
Yeah that’s terrible
Great information. Wish I had come to you before I submitted my claim for PTSD, which although the VA agreed that I have 100% disibility, I couldn't prove service connected. They really do treat you as though your're trying to defraud the VA.

Did you get rated 100% from the VA in compensation?? They said I have PTSD too but not from the military... WTH?!?
I think it's hard for us Navy guys but I have proof I have my official awards letters showing I'm entitled to wear the CBR. I even have a newspaper article about my ship being attacked by mig jets.
Great representatives. They won my case in a very honorable, dignified and honest way. Very informative and friendly. I Highly Recommend.
Crazy you have to fight in a war in a foreign country and fight the VA when you get home jeez.
Dont forget the 100s of thousands walking across the border getting money and medical....but if your a veteran told get to back of the line
Yes but if you illegally cross the border you get a bunch of free support
Yes but the gov will hand out billions to fight the war in UKRAINE yet not provide additional money to the veterans that put their life on the line for this country -- very sad
@@berlinbear11b18yes there is nothing more infuriating than that. It boils my blood just thinking about it.

That is crazy, how did things turn out for you?
I caught a ride out of the desert on a 141 the day of the ceasefire. Could have been you. Thanks man.
@@marcussmith1885 They gave a mental health - non Combat!!! I'm fighting that with a real mental Health expert. Thanks!
Thank You. Your presentations make other muddled viewpoints that much clearer. APD seems a much less stressful approach to this.
THANKS FOR GIVING US HOPE. 🇺🇸✌️👍🏻
The VA gave me 30% for MDD instead....on a flimsy C&P.....but since that took me to 100% P&T I left it alone because there was no back pay involved. Thanks for doing this video
Thanks for watching, Tom! Glad you got your 100% P&T
Glad you got 100% I wouldn’t mind 100% with out back pay
Your videos are worth their weight in GOLD. Thank you for sharing your knowledge.

Hey 👋 guys good Info just started on my claim journey after watching the video my anxiety is going crazy
I was denied. Did four deployments. Had post deployment surveys saying everything, a in service sleep study with an insomnia qualifier (but undiagnosed), combat infantryman badge, and more. 7 years after my discharge I finally get PTSD with insomnia service connected
Hope your doing better
Brother you can conquer this hill...I'm not far behind you
A electrical panel blew in my face in full flames and im surprised that im not deaf.
Give them a name of your squad member. That is definitely PTSD.

I have to go for the evaluation soon for my claim and scared as hell and been fighting it for two decades
We are glad to hear that you are receiving care that best works for you. Thank you for watching!

I had several life-threatening situations that occurred that affected me while I was in service
Howitzers blowing up on the Korean D.M.Z. and other things like that.
fighting, etc.. etc.. etc.. now i have recurring bad dreams and serious sleep disorders I cannot get consistent good sleep recently the V.A. has been assisting me with TREATMENT for PTSD with medicine to assist me with anxiety as well as being calmer generally.
Hang in
Former 13B here, 2 tours to Iraq. I can relate.
Thank you for the information thank you 💗.
You bet!
If your DD214 show’s deployment in a combat zone, should you file a 21-0781 for an acquired mental health disorder, since you aren’t specifically filing for PTSD? Thanks.
This is exactly what I needed
I would say yes because there would be a police report and UCMJ records to prove the stressor easily.
I don't think so if you didn't seek treatment for PTSD back then, I'm assuming this happened long time ago?
Yes, It did back in 1981 but they gave me 30% in 2020 for the scar it left on my forehead and another 20% for MMD that I received in 2023 is this a form of PTSD@@TC.....
Claim it!!!
Title says "How To Win Your PTSD Claim" big help you were. At least I learned not to waste any money with your firm.
One would think the JSRRC would find the chopper crash in 1968
Thank you so very much for your informative videos. You make the VA claims process understandable to laypersons.
I’m trying to win with it. Just had my C&P exam.
any update?

Hi Marilyn. God Bless you !
sorry to hear that.
My psychologist says that I have an acquired specific phobia related to my service. I wonder if I should apply for VA disability?
Very helpful.
Wtf?
I hope you will have peaceful dreams soon. Stay strong 👍

Please feel free to give us a call at 407-537-9000 to see if we may be able to help you. Thank you!
You have to look at the decision letter to see why you where denied then get the additional evidence.
I got denied for anxiety and it literally is written in my medical IN SERVICE record:
"Severe anxiety and suicidal thoughts"
Very discouraging
Did you submit other evidence? Like a buddy letter? Va diagnoses?
@@HillAndPonton or like doing CPR on somebody but you can’t bring them back no matter how hard you try - that feeling of hopelessness and of not being able to solve the problem (save their life) - it haunts me every day.... there are many that we could not save and I feel responsible

I am going thru a private company filing my claims for me.

FYI my current VSO has looked at my claim and told me they found stressor and nexus but not the diagnosis.
Question, Is Major Metal disorder the same as PTSD this is what they came up with and gave me 50% overall 30% MMD and 30% for the scar on my forehead?
Is it true when given a ptsd or mental health disability they mark you as being denied conceal weapons permit for the rest of ones life??
Thank you, I do have a 70% PTSD and it affects me at my job . My memory is not great anymore and can’t continue to work this way. I need help to get Unemployability
Can you help me
what if the veteran has no known living relatives or anyone they associate with on a regular basis or anyone they confide in?
I have been diagnosed with PTSD. In 2017 my my claim has been denied I have appealed my case 3 or 4 time. My case is at the VA Court now. Been there over 2 years. I am on three med. but I am still denied. Just waiting on the court now. So can you help me. Are what do I do now

What's acquire physocotic disorder
I was diagnosed by the VA psychologist with PTSD . Does that help my claim
@@HillAndPonton thank you right now it's in the preparation stage and they are requesting clarification from LHI on my exam whatever that means..
I recieved 70% for PTSD and now awaiting my sleep apnea and depression claims. Your videos were a great help. Thank you!
So I filed earlier this year for ptsd, and was declined. So should I refile and word it differently?
Thanks
Please, help! My dad is at 40% & he has just received the VA’s funny math on his last rating. This has been a 3 year battle & I’m overwhelmed! Is lawyer my only option at this point?
Does the VA recognize a break-in/home burglary a stressor for a PTSD/Mental health disorder claim? I was on active duty living on base housing with my wife and newborn child when this occurred.
that's a stretch buddy, don't even try it you'll be laughed at
So if I filed for ptsd, it’s possible to get a rating for a totally different mental disorder?
I've been fighting with the VA over PTSD for 2 years. I found out November 2021 it was due to not having a diagnosis. I'm sure my decision letter said that in legalese... but im not fluent.
Would changing to Acquired Psychological Disorder make my effective date reset or would it still be from the original claim submission?
What if due to stressor your behaviors end up receiving a bad conduct discharge? Can you still file for mental disorder and receive compensation???
Yes. One claim in particular is for MST (military sexual trauma), where you have the ability to explain WHY you did the behavior.
I have 30percent for drink ,mdd,ansiedad. Thank. ✌
Thanks for sharing William. Are you appealing to increase your rating?

My Sister hates me...She never served in the Military...She is a Truck Driver and does Long Distance Driving!!!!...Says, I'm Lazy and Snap out of it!!!...But, She does make a lot of Money and doesnt Share it...I think, its wrong!
What do mean , I'm confused ,
I have a stresser and VA say I don't have PTSD.
What does your doctor say ? Get as many medical opinions as you can and fight it.
@ Mark Rebholz, you can file all the claims at once.
Seek an Attorney.
Just remember; they don't have to pay a corpse. They want you to eliminate your file, one way or another.
Would the Va lower your PTSD non combat if you file a new claim for sexual assault.
Under VA law military stressors do not have to be provable.
It's the Holidays now, and want answers!
