The nazis in the chat drive me fucking insane, too. It's not just in Chivalry, but there's something about war-related games that brings out the lowest of low-lives. They say unbelievably racist things, sometimes calling for real life violence, even. I'm just shocked the devs haven't implemented a better system to deal with it. I actually got to meet some developers that worked on the game a couple months ago and they are very cool people, but I guess they're not focused on their older games anymore.

Its odd that medieval fighting games really bring out the absolute filth of humanity, but based on the dudes who obsess over WW2 moving to them its not a surprise.
As a veteran of melee slashers on console who played chivalry 1 (the most toxic bs ever which I loved) mordhau (the most toxic bs ever along with nice people, which i loved) and now chivalry 2 (the kindest yet most toxic community, which i love) and playing TO but preferring duels and you saying "I don't know what the f*ck is going on in there" I can only agree. I genuinely don't know what is harder for new players to fight, top chivalry players or top mordhau players in their respective games. yes chivalry has the easiest way to defend but if a chivalry top player plays well they can never lose stamina, and they have access to technically infinite feints guardbreaks. And I think the biggest offender, jabs. In mordhau it's purely swing manipulation and stamina game. Which should be more strict, but its just mix ups on whether to parry, chamber, maybe kick, or maybe use head or body movement. in chivalry along with swing manipulation, you need to worry about triple feints, same side feints, feints into heavy, feint into jab, *JAB*, ripostes, riposte feinted into a kick, drags, heavy drags, accels, heavy accels, turning away since the animations on some attacks are already hard enough to read whether its a slash or a overhead, or in longswords case whether its a stab or an overhead, turning around completely ruins the chances of not turbo virgins reading it. And I'm a turbo virgin and idfk what they are doing i just try and jab them. In TO none of these are problems because too much feinting or swing manipulation or turning around gets you killed. And "good" players for some reason break away from their team to go for clips? Or maybe they are practicing active counters and parries to improve at scrims. Atleast chivalry 2 has the easiest time for a new player to have fun even when the games been out for so long.

Ngl this is why I only touch stuff that is on the front page. I only hear horror stories from duel servers. I don't know if it's luck or because I play NA East, but I am quite grateful to not have found the evil in the amount you have found, although racism and stuff in TO does sadly exist. It's really a shame, as Chivarly offers fun that I have not had in online games for years. I'm not going to stop playing it, but I really wish there were more alternatives.
It is a shame that racism is so baseline in the multiplayer experiences of the medium. It's just something you have to accept as being a part of gaming culture. I hope you are blessed with games of peace from here on out.

"It's scary, how war club players are allowed to drive a car" Yeah, honestly war club is an odd weapon for vanguard, its a long range, low damage (except its blunt so it doesnt really matter) interrupt based weapon for, as stated prior vanguard. Someone who doesn't typically interrupt. It's like a weird long asf rapier except with nasty heavy drags and a stupid damage chart. I don't think anyone actually likes using it, they use it because it's effective, if they liked the patient yet alert interrupt playstyle they probably would like rapier better since its more interactive and you can dodge better for better interrupts. Or heck even longsword on knight as meta trash as that is, it's also a two handed sword, people are into that. No one is into long asf wooden stick. People are into long asf hammers and i see knights use that over heavy mace despite heavy mace just being better because they like it. No one used war club because they like it. They like it because they like suffering. Whens the last time you saw a warclub play who didnt either. Kick and or laugh at your body, not speak at all and just destroys the whole server, or is your friend who wanted to give you a hard time. War club users are just cruel. With greatsword and pole axe guys i have had times where we both started at weird times and stared at each other, laughed and both healed. Even times where we both got hit with an attack, both just accepted it as still a fair fight despite getting accidentally third partied, when the problem is fixed we continue without even healing. War club users would heal to full then use a war horn if they could in duels for that over heal. if you get shot with an arrow, very clearly you was shot by an arrow because your helmet is gone they will keep swinging, now if it was two swings then they noticed, thats fine, warclub is a fast weapon and needing accels. but they dont care, they like that they have to work less now.

Gaming as a whole as of late has been extremely elitist, toxic, hostile, and downright lazy. Either devs dont care, or players all think they are gods gift to the world while only hate is their only contribution. Kinda feel like ranked focused gaming but it honestly who knows the real reason besides nom-functioning dopamine receptors XD
I prefer Mordhau which unironically feels easier to read the animations than the dashfest jumpy animations of Chivalry 2. And yes, I am considering the animation abuse from Mordhau in my "easier to read" opinion
I started "trying to" play Chivalry 2 in the Closed Beta. Mordhau I started this year when it was given for free on Epic. Yet I don't feel 1% of the frustration from Mordhau that I felt trying Chivalry 2 on and off for years
Ima console player and I used to play it every day, gave it a break for a week until today and my very first match I was rushed by 12 people at the same time with no teammates in sight.
Idk man this really seems like a you-problem. I play on the same eu-duel servers you do, I'm familiar with the same clans you are. Since i don't get involved in political arguments and don't act hostile to anyone, i suspect it may have something to do with the way you're conducting yourself in there. The only real issue there is in duels is random rdmers. But even those can be avoided for the most part. Obviously I'm speculating here but since these clan chats bother you so much, i assume you've been involving yourself in their discussions. And that's fair of course, but if you want a quiet, focussed gaming experience it's really not the thing to do. To me, it's just not worth the hassle that comes with it so i just stay out of it. What results is a very comfortable play experience on duel servers. If you pick a fight, you will have to deal with the results, as sad as it is.
While I disagree with it being a 'you-problem' - Nazism and other ways toxic communities manifest are a problem for any decent people and should be denounced at every opportunity, not just because it hurts my feelings - it is a fair point. However, for the most part I don't engage with these kinds of people. The prominent example shown here is a result of a particularly awful moment where this guy was reciting his manifesto in chat. Whether or not I get involved, these members are still here ruining the community. The problem existing isn't dependent on me replying, it's dependent on these people continuing to be very nasty.

I agree TB should be more active moderating their community, but that's a seperate issue. You don't have to turn yourself into a crusader for a cleaner community. It's not your job, so there's no need to burden yourself with the stress that comes with it. It's fine to take it on anyway, of course, but you kinda lose the right to complain in my eyes.
I have never experienced issues in the 1v1 arena. It takes me like 2 minutes max to find a game and I guess people sometimes leave if I'm winning by a lot but they never randomly leave. Also with everything this game has to offer I cannot fathom someone only wanting to fight 1v1s, but thats just me.
I got it free on ps4, tryed it out felt jank as fuck xD thank god i dodged a bullet if i pushed though or decided to get it on pc 😅 Also good video thw edits were simple fun and to the point i dig it
Really take a lot of the playerbase issues from Chiv 2 and multiply them by ten. There are a lot of problems with Chiv 2's community but even more in Mordhau's.

I only play 64 man team objective and the thing that i find unbearably infuriating is the trash servers where your ping is over 40 so combat mechanics go out the fkn window because of latency issues.
they should've kept the duels mode that og chivalry had where it was a larger lobby that randomly matched up players in isolated 1v1 arenas

I do see the appeal in the big battles of the game but once I got into the duels scene it's all I really wanted to play.
