@@christianscazzieri There is what Pop is as defined by genre conventions, then there is pop as defined by reach. It is disappointing that the purest pop by genre convention doesn't attain the greatest reach. The funniest example in my mind is Poppy. Everyone I play her music around loves her, then realizes she's not big and that's that. I engage with the common culture as much as anyone, but let's not miss out on great content because it's not popular. It's like mom always said, "no one gives a damn son."

Just realized that the name "Drab Majesty" contains the two masks of Greek theatre, the faces of comedy and tragedy -- the letters of "drab majesty" are an anagram of "drama by jest." Proof that the band doesn't take itself overly seriously, thereby free to explore the full range of the human experience.

Even has that trademark "70s / 80s song fade-out" at the end that makes you long for the song as it slowly departs.
Drab Majesty nailed pretty much every detail so well, you could sneak it into an 80s & early 90s Indie Dream-Pop / Synthpop music set, and everyone would just assume it was an 80s Indie song they missed hearing back in the day.

"With an undo" pretty much being left on "read" is the part where people get sad. I realize if someone has the balls to leave you on seen purposely...well then you don't need people who seek attention like that anyway. The best part about Drab Majesty is that they don’t try to complicate their lyrics for that hidden meaning. It’s just enough where you know this is definitely about social media in an easy-to-analyze poetry piece. That’s what I’ve always worried about personally as a poet, so seeing an amazing band with wonderful sounds do something like that makes me so much more confident in my own creative endeavors.
Mona, Deb, you have done wonders for your audience, and I hope you know that! 🖤

When I first heard this spellbinding masterpiece I initially believed it was a lost classic from the 80s that never broke the top 40 thus it remained lingering in distant obscurity for decades, though upon a few quick Google hits I discovered that this surreal, dream inducing gem is contemporary, released in 2019. A perfectly made & sung 80s retro, amongst the coolest, hippest, most magically evocative, euphorically nostalgic & beautifully entrancing that I ever heard. Awesomeness to The Max! Luxuriously captivating! Mesmerizing! And powerfully reflective in all the bursting sensations of 80s bliss, rapture, passion, poignancy & fond remembrance that are wonderfully evoked!
