Sofocles Mefisto sisters of mercy just gave up and became a joke. To not write any songs in 20 years but yet touring is quite lame and resting on your laurels.
Same here brother. The thing about metalheads I noticed is that we value honesty and passion in music above all. Goth rock definitely has no shortage of this, oh and of course ethereal melancholy.
Variety is good. I like most, I like rap the very very least. I dig Miami Vice kinda vibe probably more than most. I like wild rock n roll over depressed. Etc.
Daniel loves the darkwave shit. i hung out w them at a goth club after a show and him and the old bassist were just dorkily dancing to Cocteau Twins the whole time lol
I got to hang out briefly with Andrew/Deb at a bar after their Atlanta show last year, and he was just super down-to-earth and friendly. Just love this band so much.
Never mind the amazing key change. It's the melody that comes right after this that gives me goosebumps instantly. Every single of the thousands of times I've listened to this. It's like music to the ending credits to the most amazing 80s movie that never was.
Great sound - as far as being better than the eighties comparison goes, I hear a lot of goth/ post punk/ shoegaze and dark wave in their music going back to that time. That's not a bad thing at all...
Flock of Seagulls meets Bauhaus's Peter Murphy! A commentor from a video from Professor of Rock on the Seagulls sent me here. I'm glad I searched this out! Love this!
These guys are the best band, in my opinion, that I’ve heard in a long time. And I have many decades of listening behind that statement. Getting LOTS of play. I love the vibe.
Loving the oldskool goth vibes. This so takes me back to when I used to listen to Cocteau Twins, An April March, The Mission UK, The Sisters of Mercy. Ahh the memories.
I read some guys response to your comment on a Black Marble video and he mentioned this band Drab Majesty that I didn't know about b4 that's crazy now Im here listening for the first time it's amazing.
I don't consider this album goth imo. It borrows from goth but its so much more refreshing. I honestly believe if you dropped the visual anesthetic on Drab Majesty, Goths would not identify with this. Well on the sole purpose of being goth anyway
I've listened too alot of intricate and complex music. But this song is superior. I've never heard such a perfect layering of nostalgia, darkness, and joy.
How can anyone dislike this..They make everything and think of everything that we cannot, that's how good they are!! Best synth sound of this era. I remember in at the Cloak & Dagger fest. I went to someone yelled "SPACE BROTHERS" and Deb and Mona looked down at me..a small smirk given..I was frozen..they were amazing and their music takes you away. ❤️
I’ve seen them twice and it’s honestly one of the best shows ever. I’ll see them every chance I get. It brings you closer to the people you go with without a doubt. COME BACK TO DALLAS!!!!
Absolutely incredible talent across the board ...top to bottom..front to back. Between the lead and the team...a masterpiece has been created !!! Drab Majesty artistry was already extraordinary...now becoming evermore awe striking ... Congratulations to you all !!!!!!!

What is it, sixth go round, and it just keeps getting better and better. About as near perfect as pop can get. In a just world, it would be a number one worldwide smash.
I saw Drab Majesty at the Flapper in Birmingham, and the sound guy, when I complained that I couldn't hear the lyrics, said "They're shoegaze - you're not supposed to hear the lyrics". But the strength of this music is the lyrics! Without them, it's just a pretty jangle, nothing more. With them they have depth & meaning.
Deb's guitar tone is amazing. He has such a gift for melody. This album sounds more driven by those instincts and I love the direction. The added collaboration with Mona just works so well. Looking forward to the whole thing.
this band deserves to be huge....should be played on ''Stranger Things'' so they can get the recognition....so looking forward seeing them live on October in Greece

I've always listened to metal and 80sy stuff too lol. I always loved Le Casette, Sisters of Mercy, Depeche Mode, Aha, Duran Duran
their music has more hooks than a fishing tackle store
I KNOW RIGHT ITS AWESOME
I would like to just take a moment to acknowledge just how beautiful that intro is.
fucking awesome intro
spot on ... the intro is 101
And then the change...w👁w!
No you can't...we don't have time

That's the whole idea of neo-synthpop: It's not the 80's. It's the 90's we should have had.
Drab Majesty are seriously talented, but make such a proclamations is so immature.
