LYRICS:
I can see the days
Flashing frames of time
Passing through the mind
It's too late to find yesterday
So we lay down down
And we sleep so sound
*The spatial divide of the skin and the glove
Is the same as the ride from below to above*
I can feel the waves
Crashing on the sand
Passing through my hands
Far away just like yesterday
Fall away down down
Fall away to the ground
I don't know if I can really see your face
Withered lines of age
Mirror mine the same
Looking through the cage of yesterday
Yesterday, down down
And we'll sleep so sound
*The spatial divide of the skin and the glove
Is the same as the ride from below to above* - Видеоклипы
I’m 200 years old this is amazing
as a 201-yr-old antarctican metal guitarist whose wife just died but i played this at her funeral and ressurected her,
i find your comment ARGUALBY LITTERALY ZHOCKINGLY OVERRATED
this song fucks so hard. LONG LIVE DRAB MAJESTY!!!
Drabgaze
i'm ready for their 90's shoegaze era
same
This one is very Lush-esque.
it’s giving!! 🤌🏻🤌🏻🩵😊
We are so lucky! It's gonna be amazing.
Curve
Great tune but mannn I really hope their darkwave era isn't done forever. As much as they have a unique voice in shoegaze, they really had me with the last couple albums.
I love Drab Majesty so vvvvvvv much
Beautiful. Gives me vibes of Chapterhouse.
I'm getting a lot of Lush, Slowdive, Ride, and Cocteau Twins here. Great stuff. Sweetness and Light from Lush came to mind within 30 seconds of listening.
EXACTLY what i came here to say
......wow. coolness
@johnelizondo4784 Well... this is confirmation that we both have great taste in music and that we both know our stuff.🤘
I'm hearing Chapterhouse for sure.
@lemurdream Definitely! Chapterhouse is underrated, so I guess it's good that current artists are emulating their sound and keeping the genre alive.
@@pathogensmusick "Whirlpool" is a classic album from that era. This song reminds me of "Love Forever" off of the second Chapterhouse album "Blood Music".
I love the contrasting vocals between Mona D and Deb Demure.. hoping they’ll explore that path further
really glad that Mona has been an official member for some time now.
They’re gonna hire a drummer also. That’s what Falcore told me. The lead guitarist (birthday Massacre) who also is friends with Deb & Mona.
Girl, same.
Did they say "the spatial divide of the skin and the glove". I just love lyrical that minutiae! So dope.
love the spatial divide between their vocal lines
How is this band not more popular. It is a crime.
Huh? They're huge in the scene. Look at all the comments in 3 days. If they're not popular enough, I'm not sure who is.
@@chaoswitch1974 Modern radio couldn't handle music like this. Remember, on radio today, it's all about the auto-tune and mumble rap. NONE of that could hope to compete against genuine music like Drab Majesty's. Deb and Mona are artists. Today's top40 (and most of radio, too) is just prefab, auto-tuned-to-death crap.
I agree totally! I have seen them live 5 times now. They were the opening act everytime. They are so ready to headline and make it big.
@tonyserrano5644 I can't even count the amount of times I've seen them, beginning in tiny clubs in Los Angeles, before Mona was in the band. I saw Marriages, too, which was Andrew's (Deb's) band with Emma Ruth Rundle prior. I've seen them go from unknown to huge. I think Chelsea Wolfe and Boy Harsher are the only other bands I've seen get as popular as Drab. I just can't see them getting as big as The Cure or Depeche Mode with the way the music industry is these days. Drab Majesty has traveled the world. I think they're pretty big for a scene band.
@wolflover968alphamale8 I haven't listened to the radio since the 90's. Do people still listen to the radio?
Seeing this band live with Deafheaven was one of the best shows I've ever seen, it was transcendent
great song
Hints of Curve. And Lush. I can dig it.
Near perfection.
Its so ethereal
Really nice Lush "Spooky/Gala""-vibe.
Album of the year
The vocals of Deb and Mona...Ethereal. DAMN...
Wow. I love the shoegaze influence here. Incredible video!
Hi Vapor ! def a Madchester rhythm section feel too
Very reminiscent of Lush in the 90’s. Love it!
This video even reminds me of Lush's "Superblast!" video....
I said the same thing!
YES ☺
I’M SO HERE FOR MORE SHOEGAZE-Y STUFF. This song changed me life, honestly.
Modern shoegaze. A little Cocteau, a bit of Bloody Valentine, a tad Stone Roses, I’m digging it. The dual vocals make it shine ✨
Definitely not modern shoegaze. Bands like Chapterhouse already did this.
Trippy hypnotic excellent track!
The harmonic contrast between Deb and Mona is an exquisite expression of what true Dream-pop and Shoegaze are all about. Mona's naturally high vocals, contrasted against Deb's low vibrato, reverberates almost as well as their ambient, yet clearly defined textural guitars. This upcoming album will be something extremely special to hear, if this song is any indicator .....!!!!
Picking up where Chapterhouse left off! Genius move!
A Drab Majesty spin on My Bloody Valentine ❤ We needed this.
I’ve seen MBV and Drab Majesty live. At least my ears weren’t bleeding after Drab Majesty.
Anyone who spent a lot of time watching 120 minutes on MTV as a youth will love this song.
It's as if Andrew from Sisters of Mercy joined his old mates The Mission UK and did a collaboration with Lush. The guitar work/noises at the end is incredible. I know guys like Robin Guthrie and Kevin Shields are like "fuck yeah!". Just wow.
I'm 43 and can't get enough of Drab Majesty. This song is fantastic. Thank you Deb and Mona!
What a time to be alive. Music is life.
44 here and I agree completely. It's like time travelling and being present with something brand new all at once.
Everyone's got their own take on it. I thought of it as Simple Minds and Ride made a baby in the past, but it was raised by Lush and Robin Guthrie et. al. and grew up to be this.
@@inconcision I love the Ride reference!
Throw in some duran duran.
I’m 46 and digging it.
This video and song are pure heaven. Takes me to a completely inspiring space of mind.
After hearing the lead vocals on 'Oxytocin' from Modern Mirror, I really hoped we'd get more Mona vocals, so I'm very happy to hear more.
This is addictive.
Every Drab Majesty song is. I finally have a reason to stop listening to "Vanity" on repeat.
@@oldirtydawson I agree. I have to listen to Modern Mirror, The Demonstration and Completely Careless or at least one of them every day or I go through the day feeling like I'm missing something.
Somehow these guys keep shifting into new amazing gears whilst keeping their aural aesthetic, we're spoiled to have them
The world doesn't understand what they've got with these guys! This should be on every radio, tv, platform !
World needs more music like this
This one Feels more like Drab! Yesss!! It is like Lush and Chapterhouse with that Drab twang
I was seeing them live yesterday. Hadn't heard this song - it took me by surprise.
WHAT. A. TRIP!!! It was just fantastic!
They played this live and it was so damn good. Mesmerizing and beautiful
Well...I'm about to listen to this 50,000 more times tonight. 💜
I’m surprised that more people aren’t mentioning the Duran Duran vibes in this song…. Drab Majesty is so different than most bands out there today, really enjoying them right now 😊
Def some DD in there!
I do agree with you👍🏻Greetings from BCN 🎸
This is just perfection. It simply can't get better than this. Can it?
it can get better when these banal meaningless comments stop
This is going to be something special, I can feel it 💓
It’s all special … glad to be here witnessing it in a front row seat
Love a band that can continue to evolve. This new era of Drab Majesty is so awesome!
This band never ceases to amaze me when it comes to how eclectic and tasteful they are
It's like going back to the 90's, Madchester vibes. Love it ✨
ah yeah, just more or less said the same. The Reni and Mani style rhythm section really sells it!
definitely. bass and drums reminds me of Opportunity by The Charlatans
Experimental flashes of random videoclips with rudimentary transitions in between... i think you mean 80's.
at first i thought it was 70's hippie =, but yea i agree 90's oasis
Ride
Monas Voice😍
Beautiful track. I haven't heard anything this good in a while.
This is so shoegaze, loving the vibes here. Cannot wait for the new EP!
They are touring with Slowdive.
@@paulvalery9778 I saw! Makes me happy.
One of the best songs I’ve heard in years. It’s not just catchy, it F’ing beautiful!
Как я рад,что они снова нас радуют своим звуком!
Getting some late '80s baggy, 2nd summer of love era vibes from this. Actual real bass, and moving away from the drum machine. I'll always love the older stuff, but this is a welcome changeup.
I keep hoping they'll incorporate a bass player and drummer. Same look, otherworldly androgyny and shades. That would be awesome live
Loving the Madchester baggy beats
now that's a MASTERPIECE ! share it with the world !🌌
reminds me of "Flying" by The Telescopes and i love it
Accurate comment!
Dare I say it, this is possibly superior.
I swear Drab Majesty just keeps getting better and better and better!! ✨💖🧚💮
Song of the year - reminds me so much of Chapterhouse and The Mission UK :)
I can't remember how many times I've heard this song. Most wonderful song
I love this so much, and as a side note, Debs vocals here remind me so much of Duran Duran, but with his own tasteful spin, it's so awesome.
Major Chapterhouse vibes here. Awesome!
Drab Majesty does not disappoint ✨
DRABTERHOUSE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Darkpool
drush
Found this while listening to the song “Dupe - Rutina” 👍👍
Welcome to the cult
This is the best mona has ever sounded on a drab song
Truth be told, I gave up on new music. I stuck to my 80’s favorites and found just a slight hope in shoegaze through DKFM. Through listening regularly, some amazing DJ at DKFM played ellipses from Drab and my world was shook. Finally, some talented musicians out there making an effort to be groundbreaking and unique. Thanks Drab for giving us amazing music in the midst of all the BS pushed these days. I hope to see you live sometime soon.
Really good! This +George Clanto's "I Been Young" are my summer faves, so far!
Wow. This was my first thoughts they sound sort of similiar! Both great songs!
YES!! Both of their new records are gonna rule the summer
Oooooo good ear. Both belong on a summer 2023 playlist.
Me too! Two excellent '90s throwbacks that really nail the sound they're going for.
Check out She's On Fire by Strange Ranger. Would fit in nicely with those vibes.
This is a masterpiece. So much to take in at once overloading the senses.
Mona just makes it so goood
I really dig this. The Stone Roses low end really gives the shoegaze guitars a proper foundation and the high-low vocal contrast mirrors that dynamic. I'm really looking forward to this album.
just take my money please! I'm so ready for their next album.
Let’s go ready for the album
MBV, Siouxie, Ride, Slowdive, Cocteau estarian muy orgullosos 💘
Chapterhouse
Can't wait! Deb and Mona will make the magic happened 🫡
90s vibess ❤❤
This track is amazing. I keep coming back. It FEELS like California with this one. I can hear the influences and getting psychedelic vibes all around. love the direction they're heading in 🌹
I'm from Brazil and love drab majesty, total voyage this song👏👏
I hear lush in this song!
Lush is back
I immediately thought of pre-Souvlaki Slowdive then Chapterhouse! 🖤🖤
Dreamy, Soothing, Magical, Drab!
I hope this alb boosts you guys into the mainstream, the world needs to hear your albums.
i love you guys with all my heart
Mona D 💜
Lots of UK Indie Vibes Screaming out, though still keeping the DM darkness ,always transforming the sound . Magic stuff
Me encanto, los amo!!! pasen por Argentina! 🖤🖤🖤
Such good taste. 🖤 Love these two.
Es asombroso, desde la ciudad de México escuchando esta gran Canción!!!🐕
I freakin love this. Back to my shoegaze memories of Ride and My Bloody Valentine.
Super, would be incredibly awesome to see Drab Majesty touring as a 4 piece band with bass and drums, giving Deb and Mona more freedom to improvise on stage with these innovative works of Art.
Awesome
This goes about a thousand times higher and deeper live..totally blissful. Was really amazed by it when they opened for Slowdive.
great synthy version of some old school shoegaze! made me think of Leave Them All Behind by Ride - enjoyed revisiting that track, too...
This song immediately made me think of Lush. I'm loving it.
-- Reminds me so much of Chapterhouse. 😊❤️
So, so good. Love the new output
This song is so good I keep replaying it. Instant classic!
This is such an amazing song. Super hyped for this!
Deb has the most incredible vocals i've ever heard. His low deep voice is just pure perfection and so addictive
This is it!!!!!! ❤
This is drop dead gorgeous! 🥰
Oh my you guys are just blowing my mind with your beautiful music.
Love you DM!! Thanks for making killer art!
I absolutely love this!
