- The Miami Hurricanes knocked off the UAB Blazers 31-14 in their season opener. Quarterback D'Eriq King threw for a touchdown and rushed for one touchdown as well. Running back Cam'Ron Harris rushed for 134 yards and 2 touchdowns in the win.

@@joewilcox6149 we only ran 4-6 offensive plays. If you look at the OL they did their job pass the check down. King just decided to go when no one was open. Running for your life would be losing yards man. Again, first game, don't show the entire playbook. I am more nervous about the CB and LB play

This is the first game and I expect mistakes. Offense looked better in the 2nd half, but we need to start the game scoring and finish strong. DJ Ivey needs to step up and the defense needs to do a bit better at tackling. On the Offensive side of the ball, we just got to hit those open or big play opportunities when they happen. Other than that, we should be set for the rest of the season
Our core does not look good. Don’t care about this is the first game. We have too many weapons not to blow out a team like UAB. I have a sense we are average but with a mobile QB we may be able to get around some of the obstacles

The offensive had a slow start and I’ll take the win and all but the WRs need to make more plays and the offensive line still needs work and the Tight Ends need to get more receptions and the defense needs to stop giving up big plays should have been up 3 TDs first game tho so plenty to build on
