I feel like hero talents were a good oportuny to give more build variety to DH. Fel Scarred could have been a master of fel magic, maybe being in demon form 24/7, and give players the choice of not using momentum/inertia. Aldrachi could have been a master of blades with more variety.
I'm ready for a DH ranged spec. Kinda like that pvp ability where you fly up in demon form and rain fire. Give us some cool stuff where we hover around and shoot stuff while moving kinda like a hunter. IDK.
If the difference in potential output of a M+ run is marginal, then "Fun" factor easily wins for me. Just by reading it without even have tried anything on the Alpha or Beta i feel like Fel-Scarred just sound more fun and is more suited to how i like to play Havoc. Aldrachi Reaver sounds like Shadowlands Sinful Brand all over again which i do not like one bit.
i agree so far Fel-scarred just sounds like the better option for me as well considering how i prefer to play the class and since they are close anyway then its an easy option :) have fun in TWW :)
@@vorios6731 That makes absolutely no sense at all. There is no universal point of a videogame. It is an ok stand point for the time being there is most def. tuning once the new season and Raid is released. I don't expect to be topping the meters as Havoc with these changes but I am eager to try and master both specs.
As someone that had decided to level other char than dh due to the Aldrachi tree be so Good, it may me change my opinion on keep playing this class with this changes. Keep the good work Jedith!
@@Jedithtv appreciate your work! on 12:30 you did say, that they are reducing our leech, but on beta and live our leech are still the same, is this a hidden nerf or just tooltip issue?
Thanks for the best breakdown I've seen yet. I main VDH for M+, and offspec Havoc for a casual H raid guild. No-mover Aldrachi should be manageable for offspec raid. VDH will of course be FS M+.
If not going to be high single target but burst AoE then HP and armor should be buffed just so if you pull aggro you can survive better. They should redo this change as it looks like whomever designed it originally knew what they were doing. 'Huge uncapped AoE=Aggro so let's buff survivability for that burst'.
I'm not exactly super excited about these talents. Seems like we'll be forced in to reaver on single target fights and have to choose which parts of the fight we want to be inferior on during fights with adds. Want to be on par with everyone during single target and be outdpsed whenever adds spawn? Reaver. Want to do so little single target dmg that when adds spawn your uncapped aoe does not make any difference especially when everyone's geared and adds melt away in no time? Scared. Seems like a lose/lose in raid. Especially when half the fights nowadays have some form of adds. Not to mention reaver will be impossible to use efficiently in most aoe and even some single target fights due to transitions, timing due to some transitions being based on boss hp, a.k.a. highly depends on your groups performance on each pull, the rng element of lesser soul fragments and similar issues.
Let's just try another class for now. I mean, what reason does blizzard have to change the class when so many people play it? It is extremely popular despite always feeling like it gets the short end of the stick in terms of gameplay. Time to get off this class and send a message. That's how I feel about it for now. I will play frost DK. Maybe unholy DK. Just for a while until DH gets reworked. Gotta love that DH movement.
Why do people keep saying no movement build is good when every build still plays initiative? If we're still forced into initiative then we're being forced into a movement talent.
If you’re speaking in terms of dragonflight S4, it was predicted we’d use no mover due to trinkets like cataclysmic signet brand and anvil having good interactions with our spammable abilities. What we didn’t anticipate was that bosses in the awakened season would die well before the 5 minute mark needed for those trinkets to ramp up. So in 1-3 min boss fights, it’s better to increase your windows of burst with inertia. The difference in TWW and the reason we’re expecting to run No Mover in raid is because keeping Reavers Mark on the boss with Aldrachi really needs us to stay IN melee range, rather than me moving in and out. Both hero talent trees provide extra functions and mechanics that may help no mover because a more realistic option
I think they do care, but I personally don't vibe with the class anymore either. I'll still be checking the jedith videos and of course I will return one day, but I'm not excited about where the class has gone since release.
From day 1 DH was kind of the forgotten child. They added it, it was dope for a while in Legion. Then nothing exciting happened for DH. The reworks never felt substantial. All this time since Legion and we're still playing a very similar style. Class just always gets the bland changes.
Gotta keep in mind this large gap everyone is referring to is single target. That is only a handful of raid bosses. Aldrachi is also oversimming by quite a bit for a few reasons. Main one being that reavers glaive is off the gcd which will more than likely get changed. Putting Reavers glaive on the global equates to like 25 less globals used in a 5 min sim and actually drops it by a lot. Also just due to important player skill is, there’s always a choice. A great player using fel scarred will always perform better than a bad Aldrachi player
Kinda sad to see Havoc in this state (not balance but gameplay). Probably an unpopular opinion, but I feel like the spec design has been pretty shit for multiple expansions now. And I'm not talking about mover vs no mover, I'm talking about the lack of vision and how all the talents are just all over the place design wise.
