I originally planned to play Warrior, but over the past week I started playing my DH for both PvP and Mythic+ I'm enjoying it and now I'm highly considering DH as my main. Fury is looking really good for TWW but it is not the most exciting playstyle for me, and the fact that it is doing well has many other people playing it. However, many people aren't pleased with DH, making it seem less played. I feel like the numbers are fine for DH but the play style is what keeps people away, but I enjoy the learning/skill curve and the overall fantasy of the class.
I agree. I find it quite hard to get into the theme of another class. DH is just so.... flashy? The movement is hard to give up. I'm an adhd stimmer, and this class is the ultimate stimulation for that. It's like a fidget spinner built right in.
Wild they couldn't just turn up the brightness of fel abilities 1.5x or something like that to at least make it look a little different. Honestly makes me think the art teams working on hero talents just didn't have the time to get to it.
Il play havoc DH as a main since légion. But for TWW, i m torn between DH havoc and ww Monk. It looks very cool for this expansion. Hard to decide what main to pick
This is how it was at the beginning of Shadowlands. DH wasn't really desired too much. People were surprised when I did good damage on it. It wasn't even that bad, though. Feels exactly like right now. By the first patch, DH will be even stronger. It just seems to always go that way. DH is usually half-decent numerically for most of the xpac. Even if they may lose out on utility other classes have more of. Then once they get more gear and scale, they're overplayed and do very solid damage.
Gonna be playing dh and shadow priest in tww. Been a shadow 1 trick for awhile but dh looks sick with all the forced movement and I love the aesthetic. Your guides have been hella helpful and I'm excited to try something new for once in tww.
Mained Havoc since legion. I was debating on switching classes for TWW. Ultimately, I decided Im going to learn Vengeance for the first time and patiently wait for Havoc changes.
As for playing dh, i will at least be playing it for raid this season as the token magic buff but already gave the heads up that if there isnt a rework by season 2 i wont be playing it for that season. Basically im just riding the copium that they can bandaid tune fel-scarred a bit more (or nuke AR out of ever having to see it talked about by non-DHs), and tapping into the special stash of copium that maybe there is an early s1 rework. My bar for response to feedback wasn't super high at the start of beta, i just didn't expect them to pull out a shovel for dh.
@@TheTlMEWARP it’s to balance out the raid buffs (nerf god comps in m+) It’s a pretty minor nerf to us, our ST sim dropped by 8k but it’s also a nerf that affects other classes so it’s not that big of a deal
I am coming back to retail for the first time in years and decided on Demon Hunter as my main, this makes me a little sad but everything will be so new to me that not getting all the cool stuff others are getting isnt a huge loss but still ill be watching your guides as the expansions role so hey!

I just added demonhunter to my roster of toons im going to level on thursday, i know they got nerfed hard and didnt really get much. But I like the feel of the class so i will be raiding with it over rogue.
Giving my DH a rest for S1 until they have buffed/nerfed all the classes a few times. BTW, good luck playing momentum/inertia builds on Erudax, the Duke of Below.
Thoughts on the 5% to 3% magic dmg nerf ( Chaos Brand) , Voodoo, you may have mentioned it already but how much dies it affect our own sims? EDIT ignore this i see you responded to someone else about the same question. Thanks for the content, looking forward to the official guide!

Yeah... I've been our Chaos Brand provider in a semi-casual Mythic raiding guild for awhile. I've been testing builds on beta, and I've got to say, I'm not really enjoying any of the AR, but I feel like I just have to take it. BUT, Demon Hunter lore is all about suffering and sacrifices, so I guess I'm just vibing with Season 1 that way in real life. And I've tried to tank on M+ few times, but that role just isn't for me.

It really feels like they just didn't do anything with DH hero trees since they were given to us. No visuals, No QoL changes, Terrible balance up until the last week of tuning. It feels like when the main DH dev was promoted they just didn't fill his slot and said "Eh... Its just DH" Really leaves a sour taste in the mouth.
I think this started on release of the class. It's really never been that well supported. For some reason, last two xpacs people were kinda positive on DH at the start in terms of redesigns. I thought right off the bat it was awful. The class has really only ever felt good in Legion for a brief period. I mean, I'm being dramatic. It's fun enough that I still play it, but it's never been exciting ever since Legion. IT's just been "Oh ok, more of this simple crap. Oh more momentum". It's just been lame.
@@hobosnake1 I thought it was fun in S4 SL and S3-4 DF. I never played legion or BFA so I can't speak on it. But since season 1 of SL it has certainly felt like a rough road. It looked like things were on the up and up going through DF but then it just stopped abruptly.
Played Legiom BFA havoc from SL the class went dowmhill in DF it had 1 good season and the rework that got nerfed after that I quit ..😂 Blizzatd hasnt really balamced the game to where classes are all effective they keep pushing flavor of the season specs that doesnt jive with me no more
@@hobosnake1 I will simply never like sigils. It was fine as tank in Legion, but I loathe using them on Havoc in PvP. DH should be my favorite class..but they decided to lean into sigils and that made it incredibly unenjoyable.
Personally, I'm a new DH player and going to main it to start in TWW S1. I really enjoy playing more difficult/high skill ceiling specs and so far it feels like Aldrachi is going to fit that niche perfectly for me. Optimizing my uptime on bosses, optimizing my reavers marks and glaives, optimizing my inertia windows, optimize optimize optimize optimize. DH is packed full of tiny little optimization you can do and it's actually quite enjoyable to learn and improve at. It's very engaging and there are honestly not a lot of other specs in the game that have that level of engagement. Feels like you can tell a really good DH from a bad one and I find that appealing as well. That being said tho I can understand why DH mains are upset at the hero specs and such as you said. Just throwing in my $0.02 as a new DH player. Also what do you think about Havoc for the new RBG solo blitz mode?
@@Dr1ppuh havoc certainly has a lot of skill expression in it, which is one of its big draws. Just unfortunate our hero trees are like this. I also have no idea I don’t pvp at all
@@ArdynSol surv is super fun, but havoc is also at a baseline level super fun. It’s issues just lay in the hero talents, but if you haven’t played before it’s hard to notice them and would still be super fun!

It still scratches the itches gameplay-wise that you'd want. Sure it could be much better, but I think a lot of players are not going to view this as a sacrifice.

Feels SUPER clunky IMO. I want to love the class, aesthetically and lore wise it really appeals to be, but I just can't get into the playstyle as it is currently.
It's bit sad that havoc still has the stigma of being a 2 button class it was in shadowlands even though it has alot of depth to it now. I commented to one video that havoc is probs in the top 5 hardest melees for keys nowadays and got completely shit on by everyone saying dh is as easy as bm hunter etc etc.

It's really hard to decide what to play, but I guess I'll stick to Demon Hunter because I just love how it feels and looks. Now tell me how I am wrong with my decision! :D I've played affliction Warlock the most, but it feels boring to me. I didn't like Evoker at all. I haven't played Death Knight a lot, so maybe I'm missing something. So what are your thoughts, Demon Hunter or Death Knight?
As a DH main I guess Ill skip this expansion. Was really hyped for all the new empowered demonform abilities... Those not having improved animations and also it being worse that AR. Meh
Im torn on the attitude of DH content creators. On one hand you need people dooming to get constant attention from Devs and our guys are good at it. On the other hand both specs are going to be strong, Veng is still great, it was the best by a lot and now its going to among the best, chaos brand and our movement is too good to fail unless we're falling over and weve got people on beta doing 15s so thats not an issue. Havoc is fun and tuned well, many specs would love to be able to say that. If our only valid complaint is that our hero trees are underwhelming then I'd say life is good. Especially since hero talents are going to get a lot of love over the xpac.

I was doing ok damage on it in keys and people were whispering me things like "how do you do that much damage on Havoc?" and I was like "?????" idk. I suck, lmao. I barely get my 20s done each season (well, 20s before they changed the key levels. Haven't played since then)
@@Flavetheson we’ve never once complained about damage, we’re in a well tuned spot. But havoc is genuinely in a less fun spot than it was in s3/s4 due to the loss of the tier set and the addition of 2 incredibly lacklustre hero trees, which is the entire focal point of the expansion. I tbh k that’s worth mentioning
The DH discord sims are faulty as heck. I have played multiple characters on beta and while Havoc is certainly not the strongest it is FAR from the worst. All I really want at this point is for burning blades to affect Annihilation and for some updated visuals. I can live with Reaver being better than Felscarred considering what an absolute shitshow trying to reach peak performance with it will be. I will definitely be playing my DH at the launch of TWW.
they're not faulty lol we put a lot of work into them No complaints about havoc are due to the damage they deal, its more so the playstyle the hero trees promote and just how much of a letdown both trees are

Why do everyone feel that Havoc needs changes? Its not so long the spec was overhauled and gameplay wise it feels great.. There are nice build diversities and bro's and gals you can glide and double jump.. leech and shattered souls.. If something is in good place it does not need changes and if you guys are worried about some numbers gtfo lol it all changes within weeks.

@@VooDooSaurus I get that the trees are a letdown, and this isnt really a saving point for DH, but so are a lot of hero trees. A few of them are outstandingly amazing but I think the majority are ripe for an overhaul already before we begin tww, and DH are not even the worst here.
delete AR, Buff Fel Scarred and make the animations way cooler. Havoc is FS, AR turns us into warriors, lameeeeeeeeeeeeee, I ONLY WANT 3 BUTTONS :)

Why do everyone feel that Havoc needs changes? Its not so long the spec was overhauled and gameplay wise it feels great.. There are nice build diversities and bro's and gals you can glide and double jump.. leech and shattered souls.. If something is in good place it does not need changes and if you guys are worried about some numbers gtfo lol it all changes within weeks.
you either die a hero... or live long enough to see neopets twice..

@@CancerousGrowt you’re pretty much universally able to use music such as that in videos. Nintendo is pretty chill with stuff like that as long as you’re not just straight taking the song and reuploading it in full.
