Can't thank you enough. This tutorial was straight forward and easy to follow. So many RUclips tutorials are full of useless content and act more as ego gratification for the creator. I'm not tech savvy at all and I was able to have a reaction video ready to upload in just a few minutes. I will need better equipment and more experience to maximize the experience but I can at least get started now. I will definitely be checking out more of your videos. Thanks so much.

Question - If I record using OBS like this, is there a way for me to switch between my camera recording me as the focus and then also what im reacting to then being the focus (with my face cam then in the bottom corner)? I’m curious how youtubers go from the full screen being their face cam and then when reacting to a video, the face cam being in the corner. Hope that makes sense…
@@rivelhd. so I kind of figured out a way to do this. I just set up scenes for each one. “Talking head” where it’s just me full screen. “Reaction” where I’m in the bottom corner and what I’m reacting to is my screen recording in full screen. And “Screen” where it’s just the screen recording, no me reaction. Once you hit record, just keep OBS open on another screen and switch between the three scenes. It’ll record as one video, but will switch when you click between the three scenes. Hope that makes sense lol
Liked and subbed... so many videos that are supposed to show the viewer how to do something and they skip over so many important details. Your attention to those little details that would otherwise be a stopping point for a lot of people is what made this video stand out for me. Thanks for the tutorial. It wasn't as difficult as I thought. However, I did notice that MY audio was really low, the video audio was fine and I was able to adjust it (per your instruction), but I will be using a clip on microphone or either the stand up one (Can't think of the name of it) but would like to know how to change the settings to A. Allow the webcam audio to sound better. B. Change the settings for either of the two microphones to work. Also, I had no idea that while recording a reaction, that you couldn't see yourself reacting! LOL. (Not that I need to) I just didn't know. Thanks for the help. JC

I'm using OBS with my laptop and when i playback the video record on windows media player or VLC, it looks like its lagging quite a bit to where it looks almost frozen. Any solutions for that?

Please do more on OBS, as that's why I am subscribing. Just take us through the 30.0 update and everything you can do. What do I put in scenes and sources? Etc, Etc ..... Thanks man
Hey CroatCode! Thank you so much for making this, it really helped me out so much. The only issue I have run into otherwise is the echo I seem to be getting in the final file. It records beautifully but it ends up having double audio despite following your directions exactly. Would you know what might be causing this?
Hey! I haven't tried any of this yet, but just guessing it sounds like it's recording a reverb. Try listening through headphones and having the audio record from that source instead of your speakers. I've noticed a lot of react and gamer videos have headphones on, and this may be the reason.
@@singer_sathya If I remember correctly, I think it was because the computer mic was set to be on and the headset. So I had to go into settings to shut it off.
@@akshaydhiman2360 I tried doing that but it doesn't have a power saving mode and none of the modes it does have doesn't affect it. All I get on display capture is grey blank screen??
Really appreciate this video. You took the guess work out and made it easy to follow along. Quite helpful. One thing I would suggest for making the narration stronger is to go ahead and watch the video and count how many times you say “go ahead.” We all have phrases we repeat a lot and it makes it less distracting when we can repeat these less. It’s a little thing, and doesn’t stop the video from being really helpful, so thanks!
@The Reaction Guy yea i figured it out guys thanks, im using a rode nt1 and my guest mic the quadcast because i felt like it was inferior to my rode after i figured out how to set it up.

Do both and match up the audio. Just overlay the a6300 where the webcam video is

Yes, go to your graphic cards setting, put oBs to power saving mode and you are done.
