I am 53 years old and have had Juvenile Rheumatoid arthritis since i was 15. I have had numerous operations and I'm in constant pain and not able to get out of bed without help. Watching this made me cry and my heart just broke for Winston. But after watching how he recovered has given me hope and strength. If Winston can be happy and overcome the horrible first 5 years of his precious life and all the horrible effects, then i can be strong and start trying to get myself the help i need to get out of bed to start having a better life. i love all you do for animals. You all are truly angels on Earth ❤

@@celardoorhorse thank you so much for the kind words and support. I know I'm not alone but it sometimes feels that way. I'm not getting any better, only worse but i have an appointment coming up with a new Rheumatologist. The one I had since i was 15 retired about 15 years ago and the one that replaced him just isn't working out. I stayed so long out of a sense of loyalty however it can't hurt to get another opinion. I hate this line because it's not entirely true animals that are smart can be aggressive on purpose or evil like dolphins for example never say this and not every dog needs a human say this instead most dogs are good but not every human deserves a dog it don't make too much sense but you get my flow

@@MandA1900it's not always that simple, I'm afraid. I was about to make a comment very similar to the one you replied to. sometimes there is no magic pill or surgery that fixes everything, and this is just our lives. all we can do is find ways to manage pain and cope. we can only hope our loved ones are half as kind and patient with us as Rocky was with Winston
I just hope he has checked up on Winston to make certain the new family is continuing to treat Winston with love and kindness.
That's what I was going to write here. I worry and hope the new family is treating him well. Winston deserves a great family like the foster family was to him.

Winston is barking because he so clearly knows this day was his. He is so excited and proud. Everyone should LOVE Winston's day of pure JOY. He feels safe to talk. 💘
My mom had a chihuahua named Freckles, she passed a month ago. She had her for 13 yrs, was rescued from a puppy mill where they kept her in a cage and if she barked they sprayed her with a hose. She was pregnant and my mom kept one puppy and named him MoeMoe, he misses his mom. Freckles got spoiled and lived her best life full of love.
Some people don't deserve animals in their life. I'm happy Winston gets the love and care he deserves.

Yup any human who has known chronic pain knows just how bad that is when it's nobody's fault. When it's entirely m because of someone's evil decisions, it's infuriating.
I've never liked the face of a bull dog, but Winston got to me! He's such a good dog - grateful, loving, playful.
I still feel like crying thinking of him spending five years in a crate!!!
So thankful to you and all who helped, in giving him health, happiness and love!

I feel badly leaving my one dog in his crate for a couple hours….he just sleeps anyhow, but I still feel badly for him
They have a way of winning you over.
I love boxers, pugs, frenchies…even my shitzu has a lil smush nose and my Pekingese was so cute ! She did get yeast infection in the crease of her nose once so I had to be super careful!

American Bulldogs are amazingly loyal and love kids. They are so misunderstood.
I couldn't help crying when Winston was crying in pain. Poor baby, he totally didn't deserve that. I'm so glad you invested in him having a happy, pain free life and never gave up on him. I love all God's precious creatures so much, but dogs have a special place in my heart ❤

I can’t believe someone would treat a dog like that. So unbelievably cruel. My heart broke hearing Winston’s back story and all the health problems he had because of it 😢 poor baby. I am so happy he was able to make a recovery and get adopted.
I love how excited he was jumping gleefully into your car on the way to meet his forever parents! You all really helped turn his life around for the better and it’s wonderful and amazing that there are people like you and your community (shelters, rescues, etc.) along with all the folks who donate their time and energy. Keep up the good work. It’s important work for those homeless pups.

The clip where he was laying in his cage crying in pain tore me to pieces. I cried for 30 mins before I could restart the video. I love Winston and I’m so happy he’s found his forever home!!!❤❤❤

I remember the day that you posted about Winston. Just seeing him sit there in his kennel sad, depress, basically given up on finding his family. I'm still in tears watching his journey unfold from the sad depress boy to a dog who loves his life. Congrats to finding YOUR family Winston! You did it buddy! You fought each paw step of the way in the road of recovery to get where you are now! Enjoy yourself buddy, enjoy your family.

I'm so glad he found his fur~ever home. He got me just looking into his beautiful eyes. I'm a big dog momma, I just lost my best friend of 13 yrs. He was a big boy, 112 lbs boxer and I miss him every day. I'm fostering right now but I am looking for my next big fur~baby 🥰 I'm so happy Winston found happiness. I adopted my 2nd bulldog bully from a rescue a few months ago, and he is amazing. I am a lucky mom. I don't know his backstory, but hes 5 years old. He is beyond loving and loyal.

Oh my gosh, Rocky, your compassion and empathy is so wonderful. I have no words to say how much I was touched by this video and everything you have done to save these precious lives. I subscribed and started watching your videos, as I broke my ankle recently (I have metal plates just like Winston), Our beloved 15 yr old dog had been run over by a truck and they put plates in. She did not recover, she also had bacteria under the plates though vets did not find it and she gave up on living. That was 10 years ago, but feels like yesterday, the pain of her losing her. Right after she passed, I broke my ankle (the first time, yup I'm a goober and had plates put in and then removed 3 months later because of the bacteria. I wished we had known this was what was happening to our girl.
.Fast forward, I again broke my ankle, right after I had contacted the shelter near me to volunteer. I hope to start volunteering when my ankle is healed and I can walk.
I couldn't stop watching your videos. Saving Winston and hearing how he suffered all his life, it just made cry, first in sorrow, then in joy when he was rehabilitated both physically and emotionally. Thank you for all that you and your family does, especially as you have young two legged babies as well.
You are making such a difference and I wanted to express that to you and your wife as well. I see the support she gives you in what you do.
Though I work full time, I hope to be able to make a difference as well. And you have encouraged and inspired me. They do not deserve to be in such anguish and torment. one of our dogs was in a kennel for most of his 3 years that he had been alive. He was my "velcro dog". He was attached to me. i had to teach him how to go down stairs.... He was a wonderful boy. Give rescue dogs a chance...they'll never let you down ❤

OMG I only just learnt of Winston recently and I was so worried because I hadn't seen any videos of him since his surgery! I even tried looking him up online and could barely find anything (I did see the song on Facebook though)!!
And now he's recovered, become a successful artist and gotten adopted!? I'm crying tears of joy.
