For those of you who are having difficulties removing the drum, the culprit is likely bi-metal corrosion between the drive spline and drum support. The driveshaft is ferrous metal and the drum support is non-ferrous, like aluminum or magnesium. That bi-metal corrosion can be very difficult to deal with. You might try pouring soda on it, like Pepsi or Coke on the nut if it won't come off, or if the nut comes off and the drum won't try pouring some on the driveshaft and splines under the nut. If that doesn't work, try some WD-40 or similar. Let the soda or WD sit for some time before trying to remove the nut or tub. Mine was only lightly corroded which is why it came off fairly easily. Some laundry detergents can be caustic to some metals. That doesn't help either. Hope this helps.
Thanks for watching Slick Ridez Garage!
Wow, you know how to make a great video! All the necessary detail, without any useless talking! The trick with the vice grips and allen wrenches was genius!
Thanks for your nice comment and for watching. I really appreciate it. Hope you subscribed!
Thank you for saving me hundreds of dollars and my sanity! Sincerely, The Wife.
Thank you for your support of this channel!
Well, gotta say, I was wondering where the first 10 minutes went, you know, where RUclipsrs just talk and talk without ever doing anything. Straight to the point - yes. LOL GREAT VIDEO!!
Thanks Victor! I appreciate your comments and appreciation! Have a good one!
As someone without active parents my husband and I said how wonderful it was too be able to learn as if one of our dad's were three to teach us... Will update once we've given it a go!! Thanks for the wonderful knowledge morsel with the Alan wrenches definitely a pro tip 🎉
That was the best video ever for DYI!!! No over the top descriptions, just straight to it! Thank You, Be Blessed, and Create a nice!
THANK YOU for this video!! From listing tools needed, to tricks to straight forward instructions-this video was perfect!
Thank you SO MUCH for this great comment! I'm super glad it helped! Comments like this really keep me going! Have a great day!
Great video, sir!!!
Straight to the point, list of tools, step by step and no filler, no BS and best of all, no distracting music.

Thank you for watching and commenting! As I fully recovering from my stroke I will be back for more videos!
Thank You for the video. For folks that are having trouble with the pulsator, you can try air shims (I used 3), it pop right off after couple pumps.
Good tip! Thanks!
It's one of the most helpful videos ever made. Thank you so much, sir. may God bless you and your family
Your welcome!
Thanks so much for sharing. By far the best video I came across while trying to solve the “what is all over my clothes” issue.
Thanks for watching!
Life hack: buy a bristle brush attachment to use w your drill. That'll speed up cleaning the gunk off of your machine.
Thank you so much for this video! My drum stopped turning, so I followed your instructions, and after taking the drum out, I found a small round piece of wood that had jammed itself between the bottom of the drum and the tub. I cleaned everything while I had it apart. My drum did not want to come out, but with some chain spray on the splines, it came off in no time. My machine is working again!
Excellent! Thanks for watching and commenting!
Thanks for sharing how you got the drum out mine is stuck too that's why I came here on the comments
This video is excellent!! Made me realize I’m not about to try this myself haha. But also, I’m really blown away by the amount of work you put into helping people in the comments Even after you’ve made such a great video. Very impressive.
Hi Sadieapplefeller! Thank you so much for your kind words, I really appreciate it! Please come back to the channel anytime and have a great Labor Day weekend!
Thank you for the video, sir. Just noticed my washer was having dirt in it after running it. This video helped me deep clean it and got it operational again.
I'm glad you found the video useful! Thank you for watching and commenting!
A major stroke? Now a paraplegic? Is that for real? All the best man, sorry that happened.
Thank you very much. I was mistaken, the word is "Hemiplegic". After the stroke I lost my right side. Thanks for watching and commenting!
Very good, sir. Simple, to the point, no loud music.
Thanks! And thanks for watching/commenting!
Great video! Step by step and easy to follow. I had trouble getting the drum loose due to the 10 yrs of gunk building up. First time taking the washer apart and it needed a deep clean of every part.
Thank you! Glad you find the video helpful!
Thanks for the video. This gave me the confidence to crack open my machine and get the drum out to get the scrud off. My machine was a little different, but I liked the technique of opening her up without disconnecting the board and all of the hoses. Start to finish cracking open, cleaning and reassembly was under three hours. There is some gross stuff in the bottom of these machines after a couple years of use.
Thank You! Took me a few hours of pulling the agitator out because it was corroded--lots of WD40 and some Sunkist 'pop'.
Hello THooverTV, thanks for watching the video! I guess I was extremely fortunate mine came out in short order. LOTS of folks are having the corrosion issue! Thanks for your comments as well, I'm glad the video helped!
I never "log in" to RUclips, or comment, but had to dig up my old password to give you a thumbs up and say thank you. This video is exactly what I needed to clean my washer. Amazing. Short, to the point, relevant details. Seriously, I wish I could buy you a beer.
Wow, thank you!
Thank you for this video. It has been extremely helpful for me. It's taking me over a week to get this thing apart because all the corrosion LOL. For those that are stuck on some of the bolts like me, I've been praying them with BB spray a few times a day for a few days. Before I could get it loose. I'm pulling out the drum but it's stuck. Glad you have more info in your description hopefully I can get that thing out in a day or two
Thank you for reading the comments along with watching the video! That bi-metal corrosion can be a real bear to deal with. If none of the spray penetrants you are trying seem to work you might also try some PB Blaster. There is also a penetrating oil used on firearms called "Kroil". It may also be something to try if nothing else seems to be working. Please let us know how things turn out and if you have other questions.
FINALLY I have an update!!!!! I was spraying anything and everything inside that tub Daily since I sent this message. Nothing seemed to help. I started working on it again today. Here are some of the things I did.
1. Random items with my rubber mallet. To include tapping upwards on the lip trying to possibly loosen stuff up
2. Clean gunk out of the holes in the bottom. A few of them were solid with a junk. But I wonder if they were supposed to be that way for some reason.
3. 4 cups of hot water into the tub.
4. Tapped around the outside larger tub with the rubber mallet while pulling up on the inner smaller tub
5. Poor cups of hot water in between the larger tub and a smaller tub. Then continued to shake around use the Mallet and so on. Then it finally happened! The thing finally came out is probably ruined from all the BB Blaster I have everywhere but I don't care I accomplish this.
In conclusion.... I would try the hot water thing on inside and out first to prevent having BB Blaster all over your washer and probably ruining it. And I think it did say something along those lines in the description but I might have misread it.
Didn’t waste anytime at all and I like that!! Also helped me with the bottom nut. I didn’t know that it was reversed threaded. Thanks!!
Thank you for watching and commenting! I'm glad you found the video helpful!
@@SlickRidezGarage Definitely found that helpful but do you have any more tips? So mine has the glass top on it i basically took apart just like your video but I got down to the nut and washer and didn’t realize it was reverse threaded but I got that off after seeing your video now I’m stuck. I can’t remove the main drum from the outside drum. Any tips would be great?
@@Jay-gm6cqyes after doing the nut and washer my drum won’t come out either
@@kcoolj1 I took every nut off and could not get the metal drum disconnected from the white plastic drum. I’m using the washer, but it still has a little sediment in it so hopefully that will go away soon.
Thank you for this! The outside of our drum was getting gunky and needed a thorough cleaning, I pulled our machine apart and cleaned it up thanks to your video. Like others mentioned, I had those clips in the front part of the top of my machine, so I had to use the putty knife to release the clips to get the top off, mentioned in the other video shared by another commenter.
Yes, those clips! Yours must be a slightly different model than mine. The putty knife trick is pretty swift! Thanks for commenting and watching!
HUGE help with the Allen wrench trick.
Thank you! And thanks for watching the video! I hope you subscribed!
Excellent, best way to spend 3 minutes before getting my hands dirty on this project!
Right on! Thanks for watching and commenting, happy new year!
Perfect and simple step by step instructions man. Keep up the amazing work 🤘🤘
Thank you for watching and commenting! I'm glad you found the video helpful!
Tyyy for this video! Have this washer for years so I’m sure every step is going to be 10x harder for me 😅 wish me luck
Best wishes, love you and I wish you well, happy new year!
Really helped, thanks. I have this washer, and it is staining clothes. I have removed the pulsator and cleaned but not pulled everything. My pulsator is metal wrapped plastic and you cant clean in between it. Took me tons of different chemical soaks to get it decent. Thanks again, im going to take it all apart now.
Great video. Walked me right through it, and I got the project done without a hitch.
Very cool! Thanks for watching and commenting!
Thank you for making this video, helped a ton cleaning mine out. My drum was almost seized to the bottom splines but eventually worked it loose. The actual cleaning takes way longer than assembly/disassembly.
Glad it helped!
Thanks for your comment. Ours is definitely stuck to the bottom. How did you eventually work it loose? Any tips are appreciated!
@@dianebuckery4163 I just kept rocking it like in the video. It took a good 10 15 min of effort. Rock one side spin 90* rock more. Little by little it worked loose. Took a while but eventually the corrosion breaks free. Could try light taps with a hammer and punch around the splines.
@@klam3r0n Very helpful. Will try. Thanks so much!
Oh! Also I learned that after taking the bolt out of the pulsator, if you put it back in for just one turn, the bolt turns into a handy dandy handle to lift the pulsate out!
That is excellent! I didn't know that! This is the good thing about the comments section, one never knows what they might learn! Thanks for the update!
Great idea to make the pullers with allen wrenches in the vice grips. Game changer!
Thanks! All of a sudden it just hit me......lol thanks for watching and commenting!
The video title made me laugh. You can certainty do it in 3 minutes but it’s going to take me 3 days just to muster up the energy! Great video. Saved for when I’m feeling up to the task ;)
lol, I meant the video is about 3 minutes long. Thanks for watching and commenting!
Thank you! Was at the point of the center nut and didn't know if it was reverse threads
Thank you for watching and commenting. I'm glad the video helped you!
mine was a little different, but the basics were the same. GREAT VIDEO! thank you! 😊
Glad it was helpful! Thanks for watching and commenting!!
That was amazing! Will you come do that to my washer LOL! Best video on how to EVER!
Thank you! I really appreciate it!
I have the same model, I'm at the last step - just took off the big nut and washer and top lip. Inside barrel won't budge, lifting it just lifts the whole assembly out.
Any tips?
Great video btw, more helpful than anything else I've ever found!
Have a look at the video description about bi-metal corrosion. Hopefully this helps you with that issue. Thanks for watching and commenting!
@@SlickRidezGarage Do you have a link to the specific video to help pull that inner drum up? Mine also won't budge. Thanks.
Nevermind. I figured it out. After I removed the large reverse threaded hub nut, I saw another video where someone put a car scissor jack above the shaft, and a block of wood on top of the jack to force the drum up. It took a LOT of force to pop the drum up, but it did pop up eventually. I used a block of wood under the jack also. Everything else was spot on. I'll donate to your cause for the tips. I couldn't believe how much crud had accumulated underneath that stainless steel inner tub. Thank you!
Nice tip on the allen wrenches to remove the pulsator. And the pipe wrench to remove the big nut. I was thinking of buying a big 36 or 38mm impact socket just for this job(my car doesn't usually have a 30+mm bolt or nut on them.
I had the 36 socket on hand and tried it first. No way to get enough torque even trying to bang it with a hammer. The The pipe wrench was perfect, had to rewatch to see what he used. Socket might work fine with an impact gun.
Washer kept smelling bad ever after 4 self cleaning cycles with a cleaning powder tablet - when I took it apart this way I know know why. Some time with a pressure washer later it works and smells clean! Thank you for the help!!
Thank you for watching and sharing with us!
Sir, I have been trying to jimmy that dang agitator out with no luck. I will try again tomorrow with the little Allen wrenches
Please let us know!
Thank you for your great video. Otherwise I won’t able to remove and clean the inner drum.
I pray you recover fully brother.
Thank you very much, my recovery is coming along well!
Oh no what happened?@@SlickRidezGarage
Super helpful by the way. This tub and basket was filthy. I had never done this before and did the whole job including cleaning in under 2 hours

My girlfriend was determined to do it bye herself cause she stubborn. Took her 2 days
@Brian Scalabrine in the same boat lol my husband sits on the couch repeating "need any help" while I replay this video over and over again lol. Thanks for the helpful vid!!!
As others have stated, the drum just wouldn't budge for me. If you're okay with hand cleaning and not being able to get to the outer drum then go for it. But there's a chance you won't be able to pull off what the OP did. Thanks for the video!
Did you see the additional info I posted in the description regarding bi-metal corrosion between the drive spline and drum support? If not, maybe take a look for a couple tips on how to possibly break that corrosion down. Thanks for watching and commenting!
I used Wd-40 twice, and hammered around it with a crow bar... then it loosened right up. For a moment there I thought it was hopeless though.
How long did you hammer? I’ve been wd40-ing and hammering a flat head screwdriver for A WHILE
@@mikemihaylov8239 I don't know how you reached way down there with a flat head....so I assume it is not enough force. I used a 3-foot crowbar and small sledge hammer and slammed the heck out of it, around the hole (not on the screw itself). It did no damage... that metal is pretty tough.
@@ryanscot7445 decided to cut my loses and put it back together. Turns out the bolt holding the agitator broke off and now I can’t put the machine back together. FML
Awesome video. Just what I needed. Thanks for taking the time.
This was an absolute live saver for my samsung wa45h top load!!! Thank you!!!!
Thanks for watching! I'm glad it helped!
@denisekypke404, make sure you tap the area shown in the video and then use the Allen wrenches. I did it at 4:30 a.m. EST today, and it worked. SRG, I thank God for this blessing of a video. I was at the end of the rope with this rental apartment washer that had never been cleaned. It smelled, and I knew there was nastiness under the agitator. I literally praised God as it lifted out. I watched another video on Samsung, but it was the metal style, and their advice didn't work for this model.
SRG, I pray for your recovery, brother. Please have a look above for your strength below. He has brought me through a lot in the past two years, and I am sure He will do the same for you. I am praying for you. God Bless you, strengthen you, and give you his peace.

Excellent video. Thank you. Jumped right to the point. Covered all the steps quickly and clearly.
Thanks very much, and thank you for watching! Comments like yours are really helpful and lead to better videos for everyone! I appreciate it, have a good one!
The left hand thread, thanks 😂
Yeah. That gets a lot of folks!
Thank you for the video. I have a different model, but my sticking point was the nut holding the tub in. I was wondering if it was a "lefty loosey" or reverse and you addressed that very clearly. Also, I couldn't get any torque on the nut, so seeing you tapping on the ratchet with a soft hammer was helpful as well. My cleaning project is almost complete.
On some models the drum retaining nut isn't reverse thread, so with your washer being a different model it is possible for the nut to be lefty loosey. I like to call tapping the wrench with a hammer my "Polish impact gun". lol I'm glad the video helped, thanks for watching and commenting!
@2:00 I also found thst you can screw the bolt a quarter the ways in then take some vice grips and pull it right up.
Right on
Yup my machine was a little different but thank God for the video - or I'd still be trying to loosen the nut to the left.
Right on. I'm glad the video was helpful! Thanks for watching and commenting
Thanks you for an easy to understand video!
This was incredibly helpful! Thank you!

Thank you for this video!

Thank you, thank you. The putty knife wasn't working. It didn't look like it would work. I found your video.
I have the exact same washer. I am trying to get the drum out. I follow your instructions but I can’t get the drum out. Everything is removed for it to come out but it’s not pulling out as if it’s still held down to the tub part. It could be some how fused to the shaft from sitting on there so long but I can’t be for sure. The nut and washer are both out. I have been letting it soak in wd40 for the last hour and still nothing. Was considering using a pulley but I don’t want to crack the bottom of the drum as it seems to be made of plastic. Was there anything else besides the nut and washer at the shaft that would be holding this drum in the tub?
Please see the video description about bi metal corrosion

Thanks! Great info!
Thanks for your support! I appreciate it!
I doubt you still respond to all these comments. We followed your video to the T and cleaned EVERYTHING in order to get rid of these brown flakes we keep seeing in our washes.
We put it back together, ran a cleaning cycle, brown flakes are still there.
When we pulled out the wash tub, there was seemingly water inside of it that we couldn't get access to, no matter what direction we turned it. We wonder if that is where these brown flakes are coming from (i.e. we need to dissemble the tub itself), OR if it has something to do with the drainage system backing up (the previous owners ran the drain tube up, and into a drain pipe that's taller than the washing machine itself).
Any thoughts?
You forgot to show how to take the middle out of the drum without it turning.. How do you stop it from turning?
By the middle, are you referring to the agitator or the big nut that holds in the inner tub?
@@SlickRidezGarageI need help with the big nut in the inner tub
Excellent, excellent video!! Many thanks!
Thank you!
Reverse thread got me. Thanks sir
Yes, reverse threads on this and other models can be a surprise! Glad it all worked out! Thanks for watching and commenting!
OP should pin this comment. IMPORTANT: NOT ALL Samsung top loaders have a REVERSE threaded 36mm drum nut. I just finished taking one apart from the WA55H4000SW (2017 model) and the drum nut came loose the regular way - turning it left. The nut even had the words "open" on the top with a left direction arrow. I thought it might have been wrong but it wasn't. Then after taking it off, it was a nightmare trying to get the drum out. It was stuck through bi-metal corrosion, scum etc. but after a lot of perseverance it finally came out. I thought something else may have been holding the drum in but it was only the 36mm nut then when that was off it was stuck with all the corrosion/scum and crap. I had to use an Impact Wrench driver to get the nut loose and off too. No amount of hammering of the socket/bar combo worked. I used copious amounts of WD40 from start to finish as well.
I pulled the washing machine apart to give it a clean as we were getting all this black/brown flakey scum shit all over our items after every wash. The washing machine had been very well looked after and apart from the build up of scum in the places that couldn't be reached it looked almost new. Just stating that part as the difficulty in getting the drum and/or drum nut off isn't directly related to the condition of the washing machine itself.
The nut has the word "open" to the left because after a time Samsung used both left hand and reverse thread, depending on model. If there is a "left" arrow designation and the word "open" from the factory then it makes sense to turn the nut to the left to remove, doesn't it? The bi-metal corrosion and nut seizure issue has been covered by several other commenters and posters, plus I updated the description to cover that. This just goes to show, and reasonably stated that your experience may differ not only from this video, but from any other how-to video on RUclips. Show me two videos that always show exactly the same thing and I'll stop posting how-to videos as they won't be needed. As your comments have provided no significant additional information there's no need to pin them to the top, but if someone does provide such, I would consider doing that. Thanks for watching and commenting, best wishes.
We too have the black/brown flakey crap constantly 😡. This must be a common issue with this washer. Is there any way to prevent this from happening other than tearing it apart every couple of years?? No one seems to have a confident answer as to what causes these flakes to form.
Best video for this model!!!
Thank you, and thanks for watching!
I wish I didn't think I could do exactly what is done in the video. Had no idea the drum would be impossible to pull out in the end.
Now I'm sitting here with parts everywhere, a jack and 2x4 from another drum removal video.
I guess it was a cool way to waste a couple hours. I wish I could wiggle the drum in this video and it came out the same way LOL. Seems like an extremely unreal expectation.
I have the exact same washer.
The main bolt wouldn't budge either, had to use my cars' axel socket set and impact to remove that.
If you're watching this look easy video, please don't assume it will be anything close to this experience unless your doing this on a new machine or one that has had this pre-disassembled and redone for a video.
How did you get the drum out? I’m currently trying to mine and can’t get the drum out!
@@breanne8045 I couldn't, I ended up cleaning everything I could reach and put it all back. Sorry
I did not disassemble the washer prior to making the video. Hope this helps.
. @SlickRidezGarage with corrosion, the drum is stuck on pretty good. I ended up cleaning the sides, and such, but I have a feeling that without moving the drum completely, there just isn't a good way to clean the tub, and under. I still see some debrie after a "Self cleaning" wash. What a joke this self cleaning cycle is..
@Fastar76 right?! I got everything clean, except for the bottom of the wash tub, which I never could get loose even after WD40, boiling water, and knocking the heck out of it (got the bolt and washer, tub just would not lift out). I used a dryer cleaning brush, stuck it between the tub and the drum, then scrubbed as far down as I could. I flushed it with the hose, vacuumed all the water out, I've ran vinegar through, tried washer cleaner, and I've probably ran 15 empty washes, trying to get rid of the debris but I think all I did was loosen the gunk because now I have a gritty substance in the empty tub after every cycle. I can't wash my clothes in this 🤬
Excellent video
Thank you!
Great video
Dude!!!!! If only you recorded yourself going a bit further into the machine brother. I’m pretty familiar with disassembly… The part I’m trying to learn more about is cleaning/sanitizing it after that. Also, how much further should I take it apart? I bought the machine brand new back in 2014 and it’s never been cleaned other than an occasional cleaning tablet and the ‘pure cycle’. Just want to learn a bit more about what I should be doing.
I suppose I could be wrong on this, but once the drum is out, there isn't too much more to clean, at least there wasn't on my machine. I pulled the drum, sprayed it down with Purple Power, scrubbed it with a scrub brush and pressure washed it. I also cleaned the tub and balance ring the same way as the drum without any further disassembly. Hope this helps you get going in the right direction.
Great video!
Thanks, glad you like it!
Great video. I took mine apart and cleaned it. It was disgusting. However now that it is back together when I run a load the spin cycle always if off balance. If I run it with not clothes it is fine. Any help with what could be causing that would be greatly appreciated.
I would check with suspension rods and suspension mounts.
Thanks for the info, do you know the Torque spec for the last hub nut that holds the tub?
Amazing thanks
Thank you for watching and commenting! Have a good one!
My problem is slightly different - apparently this washer has a recall on it because the top might fly off and cause an injury. So now instead of the top just sliding and lifting right off like in the video, there's a bunch of extra reinforced points on it to keep the top on - and you have to release some clips in the front. This video shows the clips - just lift and push in with a putty knife to release them, then lift off the top. Video here shows what I mean, for a different model but it works. -> ruclips.net/video/OKarymySPuE/видео.html
I'm having the same issue ! It won't come out !
1:10. My washer, samsung WA52J8700A had tabs approximately 9.5” from the front on either side. Using a flashlight, i lifted the back and followed the small gap between the top and bottom until i found where it was being held down. I used a putty knife as suggested in that other video to push them in, then used a small wedge of wood to hold the one side up (every time i did the other side the first one would fall back and clip 😅). Once i had these two side tabs depressed i was able to follow the video here. Thanks again!
This was helpful, thank you! Our washer had the clips so I used the putty knife, took a few tries but it worked.
Anyone else find black tabs around the edge of the lid? Mines does not just slide off and had black tabs in the inner wall that hold the lid down.
I took my drum out and it sounds like there is water in the top. Is that normal? Great video by the way❤
Thanks, and thanks for watching. The water is in the ring with 8 screws that is removed from the top of the tub before the tub is removed. The water you are hearing is in that ring, which is called a "balance ring". A measured amount of water is put into it at the factory and helps harmonically balance the tub during the spin cycle. Appreciate the comment!
Thank you! Very helpful!

My pulsator is significantly stuck to the drive shaft!!! Can I use WD-40 or olive oil or similar to get it loose? I've tapped and pried... Obviously, I don't want to introduce clothes staining, but cannot get it out (without damaging the pulsator, I fear).
Try using Coca cola and let it sit for a while. You might try PB Blaster. Let me know if you need other help.

Thank you. I did all of that and cleaned out the grimes from the drum , now it all clean but i felt that some water was still inside the drum that i could not take out :((
Do I need to remove my washer from my basement to do this or can I do it from where it’s at without getting water everywhere?
I have a Samsung quick jet vrt top loader washer I bought from someone. I went to clean the washer with the cleaning pods and a bunch of gunk came back up from the bottom of the agitator is that common? Or do you think the pump is out?
Did the washer drain out after the cycle was complete!
The wires definitely are to short to just pop the top off, how did you get around that?

Hello I've followed this video all the way to removing the drum, but mine seems to be stuck. When trying to lift, the whole "suspension bucket" becomes loose. Any recommendations?
I'm not sure what you mean by "suspension bucket". The splines on the drum and driveshaft are likely seized together due to bi-metal corrosion. Please see the description for some things to try to get them broken loose. Let me know if you have any questions. Thanks for watching.

Great video. I have the same washer that spins but still leaves clothes wet. I took it apart and don’t see anything wrong. Possibly the belt? It spins during cycle but never spins full throttle. Any suggestions?
Unfortunately I have no good answer for you. Maybe someone will be able to help you in the comments. Thanks for watching.
Thank you sir

You're welcome, thanks for watching and your comments!
Great job.
Thank you, and thanks for watching!
Freakin' awesome video, straight to the point and accurate for my model. One thing - do you know a way of cleaning between the layers of the tub/drum?
I'm not sure what you mean. I cleaned both the drum and tub by spraying with Purple Power cleaner, hitting them with a scrub brush and rinsing them with a pressure washer. Hope this answers your question. Thanks for watching!
Do u have a video showing how to dismantle the cover?
The only thing I disassembled on my washer was what you saw in the video. Thanks for watching!
I get to the nut removal and I get it loose but the motor just turns with the nut. Is this the time to use the wd-40? Should that nut just come off ? Do I need to stop the motor somehow?
The nut should come off without stopping the motor. Maybe the threads are damaged or stripped on the nut? If it doesn't come off you may have to split the nut with a chisel and hammer? Honestly I couldn't tell you without seeing it. Thanks for supporting the channel with your super thanks!
I’m having trouble pulling the wash tu up. It feels like something is holding it in place. Any ideas?
Please see the description about bi-metal corrosion
What size is the Hub's Nut (2:20)?
Hub's Nut is always Clockwise to loosen while Agitator's But is Counter Clockwise?
On this model the hub nut is reverse thread. Some models are not reverse thread. Hope this helps.
@@SlickRidezGarage Sometime it's very hard to tell which turns clockwise when Bolt or Nut are set in place.
Do yo know the size of the Hub's Nut (2:20)?
