The amount of "Kendrick needed to use Drake's name to stay relevant" comments i've seen is staggering. The irony is the two Drake songs on the billboard are in reference to Kendrick/the beef to some degree. Thank you Kendrick for keeping Drake's career alive lol
Circadian Rhythm was brought to us by Kendrick Lamar.
This is actually pretty crazy
Superpowers neutralized.
I can only watch in silence.
The famous actor we once knew is lookin’ paranoid and now is spiraling’
😆😆😆
Whether you like it or not, Drake still holds strong appeal with audience, which is why Justin makes him a talking point.
why do kendrick fans always talk in lyrics gives off such a parasocial type of relationship its creepy
the fact that almost none of Drake's like 12 songs this year has landed is crazy. even the ones that did decent fell off quick. this is like a post-Achilles injury Kobe Bryant type fall off
Do you think if Drake had properly released and marketed those five songs, they wouldn’t have charted well?
@@ladiesunited Yes, that's exactly what I think. Kendrick has made Drake uncool. And there are few worse things than being uncool in Hip Hop.
One thing this battle has shown me is the critique that Kendrick gets for not dropping frequently is nonsense.. it seems more like he just doesn't, not that he can't .. he essentially proved he can do what Drake does easy .. but the reverse is just unthinkable .. Drake can NOT do what Kendrick does .. Drake cannot release and go MIA for years and still remain in the conversation .. it's almost like Drake HAS to keep releasing to stay in the conversation.. Kendrick doesn't have to 🤷🏾♂️
That's a great point. Drake taking a break just doesn't seem like something in the realm of possibility.
@@TheCompanyMan it really doesn't. And I think that's a layer in this battle that Kendrick just wins, as well, at. Some would even argue that this is proof positive that Drake doesn't have a classic enough album that he can take a break from music after their release and have them be revisited, chewed on till the next release a year, 2, 3 or 5 years later. His discography is just isn't that. That group of people, for this reason, would say he doesn't have a classic album .. you might agree but I am sure you'd understand 😅
The vacuous nature of drakes "art" becomes stale if it isn't continually pumped. Maybe if drake took some time off and came back with an Intrprospective body of work he could fly again. He's capable, but is he willing.
He takes his time and puts out music HE likes. Which is the best thing you can do.
@@7ookee really appreciate this view. I can't speak to his capability for now 😅 but I think any willing can be capable
Truth be told Drake not having several songs on the Billboard charts shouldn’t matter BUT him and his fan base always use his commercial success as a bragging point.
So to see him not making the same impact he normally would is very telling.
Exactly, if this was any other rapper nobody would care or use it as a diss. But since Aubrey and his angels always brag about success and ratings this is what they get
😂😂😂😂 so true
Good point
@@jagtech490calling them his angels gave me indigestion
@@MrIcenice44 that's what they call themselves lmfaoo.... Aubrey's Angels 💀😭
“We was praisin’ Billboard but we were young. Now I look at Billboard ‘like is you dumb’?”
BIGFAX
Shaboozy was great on Beyonce's Cowboy Carter album. He's on 2 songs.
People are tired of eating candy for dinner….they want actual food.
Willow Smith's comments in the story I did over the weekend makes me hopeful that that's catching on with her generation. I think you're right overall. The industry appears to be moving away from tiktok hits too.
Nice analogy!
I work at a major arena for a hockey team. When they play a drake song they boo. When they play not like us they rap it of course the clean version 😂.
That's WILD. It's all happening🤷🏿♂️
I believe you. Many of the "kids" at the warehouse I work in are bumping Kendrick now. I know so many people who did not even know who Kendrick was, who are now new fans of his, and they are all cussing Drake. How the turn tables.
@@TheCompanyMan its beautiful to see you are excited that a biracial man is "failing". You have so much hate in your heart and I wish you everything you wish for Drake
@@youknowme661 Its Also Beautiful To See Sore Losers Like You Pop Your Head From The Ground To Remind Us How Bad Your Guy Lost 😂 thanks
@@youknowme661 😂
...seriously, take your meds
I actually think its good for him, he needs to go away for a while. His best chance at recovering is making people miss him.
Nah he needs to stay away for good
Yup
I haven't listened to Drake for months, and I just listened to Supa Dupa Fly and was like this muthafucka really did ride on the back of these legendary beats.
"Started from the Bottom" and "Tiki Tiki” are the only Drake songs I know, that are not related to the Kendrick beef. Oh, also "Waug Waug Delilah"
And oh, if you’re tryna hit a lick on the TD, RBC, Scotiabank, R.B.C, C.I.B.C, P.C Financial
Holler at me
Whenever I hear Drake playing in public, I'm like "do these people not know?" The fact he still has a career after everything that happened is crazy.
I feel the same. Like secondhand embarrassment or something
lol
Drake still has some great songs, him losing a beef does not make his amazing catalogue void
“I can put your favorite rapper on life support” 🗣️
I’m so happy Shaboozy . It only took Dolly Parton admitting the was her Godson for country community to start supporting him. 🤷🏾♀️😂💯
I'm so happy for him too.
Shaboozey is American. He was born in Fairfax, Virginia, to Nigerian immigrant parents. (From WIKIPEDIA)
You’d be surprised how popular country is. I can’t speak for other african countries, but here in Uganda my parents generation (boomers) were big fans. I grew up listening to my dad’s Kenny Rogers and Jim Reeves CDs on long drives upcountry.
In the south we all listened to country too growing up. I just never realized it was popular in other countries.
Same in Jamaica 🇯🇲 my parents were big country fans. I grew up listening to country in the 80's and 90's
True and I’m Zambian…
13 singles and they all flop flop flop flop flop dot eff em up
"I'ma do my stuff"
Keep doing what u do man I'm blessed to be here at the same time as you
The beauty about it all is that Kendrick doesn’t need the charts for validation. For him the art comes first and commercial success is just a happy bonus. For Drake, commercial success is everything. When he doesn’t have that, he has nothing.
Well said.
Let's get it to 300 members!
IT's all happening!!!
Hopefully hip hop will trend towards no longer being pop music and we can go back to wide definitions of styles we had in the early 90s. Labels no longer around to flood the market with copy cats.
I'd love that.
Shoutout to gokus pre workout that’s hard af
Has been a very interesting year watching Drake fans, the primary rap fanbase that lives and breaths numbers, completely look the other way when Drake doesn't even break into the top 10. He hasn't so much as sniffed a #1 record since First Person Shooter. His solo songs aren't doing it.
The last time Drake got a #1 on his own was 3 years ago. I think his fall off has been happening.
They just keep touting spotify and tour numbers.
It also shows you that they are really not supporting him, especially his "stans" they are just internet bullies
We in here💪
I find it weird how Drake is the “most streamed” artist on Spotify every month and yet only have one song on the Top 100 Billboard charts. The math ain’t mathing. Are people just streaming his old shit or is he botting them streams? 🤔
It’s his old music.
And maybe he's less popular on other platforms. I'm an Apple Music user.
@@TheCompanyManthis what I’m talking about you supposed to be a journalist everyone knows Drake is the most streamed person on Apple Music this channel is too biased
Drake music plays multiple times at all starbucks, targets, walmarts, etc. It’s not bots but his label paying for placement in stuff like that
@@highlightsfromrapculture7938lies you Drake d sucker. Ms Taylor Swift is the most streamed artist on Apple and Spotify. Now clock it. Drake can never beat Taylor not even on his good day tf
Drake’s only Billboard Top 100 song @ #99 = THE SIGNALING OF… THE END OF AN ERA !!! 🎉
In a year where he put out 15+ songs its crazy tht he doesnt have more on the chart. Even though thts one of his biggest bragging points
Yeah, that's what stands out to me too.
Imagine my petty laugh at 99🤭🤭
It's all happening🤣
The beef felt like a sad going away party for hip hop. The next couple albums from the top selling artists will be the after-party and who knows when we'll see hip hop on the charts again.
I don’t see it that way. We need to clean house. There will be a rebirth of hip hop. It’s desperately needed.
Hip-hop being on the charts is part of the reason the value has dropped. Ppl like drake chasing hits instead of making great bodies of work. Hip-hop not being high on the charts is a positive imo
it’s all happening
Drake needs to take a year long break and then after one year has passed, start doing promo for his next project. If he does less than 300k then he's really done
Great video as always, thanks company man
Thank you!
Black People originated country music
Damnn future cooking
Cooking cooking.
Rodwave has a kinda chilled vibe.
He is Nigerian (his real name is Collins Obinna Chibueze); but was born in America. But I know he is getting some support from Nigerians.
How do you know he's getting support from Nigeria ?
@Music-yq8qc can't speak for people in Nigeria, but a lot of Nigerians I know play this song all pretty often.
people in nigeria do not play that kind of music im saying bcz i am African born and raised
Well I support him now. Didn’t know he was Igbo. Congrats to him
He's 100 % Nigerian, official name is Chibueze (Meaning God is king in Igbo) and even went to boarding school in Nigeria for a while
Shaboozey was born in the USA (in Fairfax, VA.)
He’s 100% an American Citizen.
His parents are Nigerian immigrants, but that still doesn’t mean he’s Nigerian. Shaboozie has Nigergan heritage - however, Nigerian heritage does NOT = Nigerian!
Shaboozey is an American.
6:00 to you he might be Nigerian to everyone else on this planet outside of the US he is american.
Thank you.
Don’t mind me, I’m here for the Drake slander 😂
1 second applause for Spanish 😂
I am so glad for Shaboozey 😺, I first heard of him on Beyonce's Cowboy Carter too, but now I check his latest album as well. Wish him all the best ✨✨✨
(as a non-American, I'll say that Country music is definitely an American export, though a bit niche one (y'know, think of Americana and all... it's definitely not what ppl think as "mainstream American", at least not in my country 😅). What happens I think is the _mainstreaming_ of Country _outside_ the US.)
As a last note... NGL I am enjoying every moment of Schadenfreude from Drake's current demise on the Billboard Hot 100 chart 😏😌💀🔥
Let's Gooooo!!!🎉
The shaboozy thing is pretty strange because I haven’t really heard the song in the usual places I hear number ones. I’ve literally only heard the song in a RUclips music ad.
I don't hear it much here but i'm sure it's all over the place in the south and midwest.
Another country one hit wonder like that something road song that gay demonic rapper put out.
He's 1st generation Nigerian American from woodbridge VA
I don't mind Country music not just nominating Beyonce purely coz she made a country inspired album. We all know we wouldn't be cool with a hip-hop inspired album by Bartholomew being pushed for rap album of the year by people who don't even listen to rap outside of Bartholomew's album
Dope shirt Justin 🔥
Thank you!
This is a sign of new drake on the way
I think so too. He says he has a project with Party coming this year. We'll see.
Never in my life heard a bar song tipsy lol that’s crazy
Edit: Now that I know he’s black, I hope he shatters all those records and reclaim our genre
Drake fans don't want to admit it, but Drake was falling off even before the beef. I remember all the critics were scoring his last 2 albums from poorly to mediocre.
Yeah, his last 3 or 4 didn't stick with me at all. Great observation.
How do they judge how well an album does.... do they go by 1st week sales?
Akademiks n mal are the only ones thinking drake won the battle 😂
😂😂😂😂 the look on his face when we got to #99 😂😂😂😂
It's all happening...
According to Ak his back to his old tricks in Turks😂
What do you think made Ak share that? That felt like an odd segment on his stream.
Your presentation of information is inspiring. Cool Shirt, Love from Uganda.
Started from the bottom now we here
It's all happening🤣
Mamushi by Meg and Yuki is still sticking. You skipped them at #60. She's had a big year too.
BIGFAX. Thanks for pointing that out.
Well done, Justin 👏 ✔️ 👍
Crodie better get out of here
Shout to rude Jude putting me on years ago cheers to you
With a smile on ya face right ?
Of course country
Shaboozey is Nigerian. But he was born and raised in the US. His stage name is a wrong pronunciation of his real name which is an Igbo name from an Eastern Nigerian tribe.
He also spent some years in Nigeria while growing up.
Kinda sad that Future knocked Wanna Be to recurrent this week.
Apparently Beyoncé didn’t go to Nashville to promote her music which made her not win anything. Who knows how that would have made a difference.
I doubt it would've made much of a difference honestly.
Drake down.. rest of culture vultures must follow suit. Like kpop and Tyla.. 🤭.. like uuuggghhhh enough of all that TikTok ish!
There's something I just don't gravitate towards when it comes to Tyla. Can't put my finger on it.
@@TheCompanyManshe seems to manufactured. Rihanna felt like she was really bringing Barbados culture in her music when she blew up. Tyla is talented, just seems too machine oriented so her music feels watered down (pun intended) if that makes sense.
And with so many artist making world music, she doesn't stand out musically
15+ songs he put out definitely wasn’t for the billboard charts it’s for Spotify he wants his numbers to go up so his fans can brag about his stream he has no authenticity and does not care about anything but numbers let’s see how far he can play that game tho lmao
That's such a weird flex.
@@TheCompanyManfr like Drake does not care about his fans at all, he don’t even acknowledge them or even tell his fans the truth. He just like homelander but without superpowers
19 songs post beef and only one in here is nasty work
BTW, you skipped over MEG at #60.
Honestly... shout out to J-Kwon for continuing to get that paper. And here's to the 100 gigs for your recycle bin.🚮
I'ts all happening!
What’s the correlation between billboard and the Spotify numbers drake has, cause he’s most streamed (which to me is his old music, nothing new) but has one song on the chart at 99 so what determines it all cause I been saying since the beef he fell off, I wanna know cause those technicalities that qualify someone to be on the billboard is something I don’t know.
I never really cared for billboard they don't represent hip hop to me just mainstream machinery and putting all the genres together is odd to me not same audience like I careless what hot country song is out I couldn't name 1 of they artist .. I'm bumping talib Lupe LL cool j and Blu albums but funny Drake came in so confident in beating Kdot now his pop clout is sinking 😂😂😂
I’ve never heard of Shaboozy. How has he had a #1 for 24 weeks?
Haven't heard nothing. Side note venom the drug has some horrible side effects. Stay happy healthy and drug free.
Akademiks said the songs drake dropped were from 2019 😂😂
Hope humankind pay project pat
I wonder what their relationship is like. He gets a lot of criticism from borrowing southern styles on both continents. That's one of the reasons I want to talk to him.
@@TheCompanyMan I cringe when I seen who was behind the song.. hopefully he does and all the others who sample pat
🐐🐐🐐
Damn nobody neutral reporting on this beef it’s sad
Kendrick won the beef but Drake is still Drake I hate that everybody is picking a side it’s stupid
One of your best videos. I've rewatched this for 30 days straight.
pdf drake is washed up.
I'd rather have Shaboozey get No 1 instead of million dollar vulture Tommy Richman
Hip Hop has been getting stale. We only get solid stage shows from a hand full of the artists that chart so they dont sell shows. Along with few decades of party/shootemup/i can take your significant other/poop bars its not really surprising that Hip Hop is losing its staying power on the charts. Im not saying its over for the genre of music i love but maybe some time in the background is good for the game. Give us some time to weed out some of the snakes and put some of the gates back up
Imo, idk what all is out to be on the charts? Future is 40 still rapping about a toxic junkie lifestyle. I think it's a good thing as well. Hip-hop needs a reset! I think the OG's need to get back in the booth... Redman, Method Man, Andre 3000, I love that LL & Em song. That joint is pure hip-hop. All this other nonsense is straight up junkie, nympho music.
Nas and premier album coming soon
Daylyt said in my convo with him on this channel that him and J Cole want to bring the casual cypher with lyrical heavyweights back. I hope it happens.
@@TheCompanyMan I gotta watch that. I hope they do as well!
So does billboard matter or not?
I would bet my entire life savings Drake gonna put out something hella soon lol.
His ego will NOT let “No Drake Song on the Billboard Hot 100 for the First Time in (blank)” be a headline after this beef
HE's on a Rod Wave song coming up.
That is not true I'm not listening to him.
Still listening to Kendrick Lamar
Doesn’t drake need to keep putting out songs cuz he owes on his 400 million contract?
I don’t think volume is gonna stop
That's what it seems like.
This guy is celebrating the downfall of other men while pretending to be a nice guy 😅
It's all happening🤔
Kendrick is his goat he just doing what ak do but with a smaller audience. I can admit if Kendrick lost I'd definitely be celebrating
@@cornellabraham4914 Okay with that logic, if kendrick lost Justin would also be acting like Ak right? lol

PLZ STOP SAYING SHABOOZY
Do you just make videos of drake when it’s for something negative
Your reporting on Drake this year has been extremely biased. I think you should just support who you support and stop posting all this negative information about Drizzy whenever you get the opportunity. Respectfully
Did you say that when he did the same thing to Meek Mill FOH, he got what he deserved, thinking he was bigger than the culture and disrespected the culture
