    Thanks for the video Tom. It irritates me that Weber knows how to make something water tight but forgot when they designed the WSM series. I have two and keeping mold out is a challenge.

      @purleybaker,
      In case you have not tried this before - you can flip the middle section of the WSM upside down for storage. This makes the "lip" from the top section face downward - preventing water entering the base.
      If you take it a step further, you can flip the door upside down too. Finally, you can drill a few holes and add some additional stainless hardware and flip the brackets inside (that hold the grill grates and water pan) upside down as well. If you do all of this, you can keep the WSM in this "upside down" configuration all the time. I've found this is a big improvement on the mold issue. Other than changing the door height and the grill grate heights, it operates exactly the same as the standard setup.

    you have it too low then the risk is that it slides off your shoulder during an accident, and then it
