- A new edit of a 26-part series, now in 3 parts. The 66-day expedition to find the source of the Okavango River. The expedition explores Namibia, Angola and Botswana. This was shot in 2010 and broadcast on South African, Belgian and Russian TV. Pandemic issues have resulted in no global expeditions for two years now, so I'm releasing new-edit of material shot over the past decade. I hope you enjoy them.

**Thanks For Watching This Video**
I haven't seen all of your innumerable videos yet. However, this video which encompasses Namibia, Angola and Botswana and the excerpts from your childhood is priceless! You're definitely a one-of-a-kind overlander and storyteller. Greetings from Oregon!
Andrew I would love you around the fire..... 'today promises to be less interesting than yesterday'. I mean you can't make that up lmao
I'm speechless at the brutality of Cassinga and yet this is just another typical War driven mass killings area that we seen to find around war torn areas throughout the world.
I may be wrong but in Africa there is always a hint of going the extra mile to let blood.
Thank you for another video Andrew, this one is more thought provoking.
Andrew and Paul uploaded today, on a rainy Sunday here in NZ, doesn't get much better 👌👌👌
AFRICA 🌍 LAND of precious metals, gold, diamonds 💎, gemstones, oils,,BLESSED NATURE'S NATURAL LAND, LAKES AND RIVERS etc, NATURAL NATURE 🌍
Andrew I don’t know if you read my comment in your video about lone man in Namibia 🇳🇦
Any way there is video post this week the highest number they found 39 he is lost and asking help
Andrew can you help him specially after upgrading the leaf spring
Zikhomo, CHABWINO, 👉🇿🇲.like on ZAMBIA 🇿🇲/MALAWI/BOTSWANA 👉enjoyed your 📹, of MOSI-OA-TUNYA, 👉🇿🇲👌
ASPW and his videos helped me get through the worst of the Covid19 pandemic. Great stories, travels, images delivered in a very pleasent way.
About ANGOLA 🇦🇴 ♥ 👉🌍ZIKHOMO
Love it…the absolute zenith of your career for me Andrew…lots of travel, lots of interesting info… hardly any mention of the vehicle, which is only the means to the end. This….this is the kind of travel I long to do, and the fact that someone films it to feed that thirst is awesome…thanks. Australia offers sooo much opportunity for this kind of adventure filmmaking!
You had me in stitches at about 43.38 with respect to your new travelling companions, but a very accurate statement. Once again, you’re a real boredom saviour while I’m in ISO!! Thank you for your efforts!!
A rainy day in cpt and watching your video. Just finished Pauls video.
Ja Angola is a Sad story actually Andrew. Thank you for sharing. I watched this vid before, like when you sharing older videos. Still think that 105 was an awesome car!.
I doubt the SADF killed woman and kids. Andrew, I noticed you illicit that side of the argument. He said it had 150 officers and that means a lot more men at arms, and guerrillas
I absolutely do not illicit that side of the argument. You are seeing this because you are defending the SADF, and I won't. Because if I do, that would be taking sides! And I will not do that. I'm not easily taken in by propaganda. And the SADF and SA government were masters of it. To think otherwise is just naive.
@@4xoverland ok
Andrew: "I'm so lucky to be able to travel and explore these remote places!"
Also Andrew: "I literally hate everyone else that travels and explores these remote places." 😂😂😂
This was Incredible.. Thank you.. There are much worse ways to spend a rainy Sunday morning, than travelling Namibia and Angola through your lens.
No way a railway in Canada would allow a span like that over it. Steel bridges or concrete wrapped in steel. I would expect China Development Corp. would try something innovative.
I really have to complain about this Video. I have to work. But i can’t stop watching this. It’s far to interesting, has far to good pictures, far to good camp-spots to stop watching. Would you mind to make just short, rubbish clips? Black and white? Without sound? :D. (Thanks for uploading! Great piece!)
I could only sympathise when you said "I have to go back this way" The rest of the video is pure envy im sorry to say. Quite interesting. Id love to see Africa by 4x4. Ive lived in Papua New Guinea and my father had a FJ lander cruiser. Great little trucks. I have a 2000 Prado 95 series with 402,700km on it and still never skips a beat!
Ahh I like your roof console for the cb radio,I bet one would fit in my 2000 Toyota Tundra. The search is on.
I'm very impressed by your management of all your footage! To be able to pull up all those clips from
30+ years ago to work them in is extraordinary. I'd be very lucky to locate any random photos from back then, much less specific shots that perfectly tie in.
Greetings from Puerto Rico, just got a 100 series and I’m starting a touring build on it. Your channel is awesome, keep up the great work.
One of your best videos ! Amazing trip and great narrative. Also vehicle equipment wasn’t too much like the ones of last years …
Your Africa era videos are the best !
If you want absolute solitude, look at Alaska. I've found no other place where even fewer dare tread. Just take twice the amount of time to prepare than normal, whatever normal is. You will understand once you're there. Your episode of sportsmobile-mohave road trail, USA is by far my favorite of all your travels. Your reaction to reading the plaque was priceless and motivation for people to adventure was proper as proper gets. God speed in your endeavors.
Casinga makes one think, I think back to what I was doing at the time, and am amazed at what was happening in other parts of the world, whist i was living in relative safety of the Western Hemisphere... Thanks for sharing
Min 50:15 on, music form my country, Cabo Verde. They sing in criolo :)
Mr. White, this is a real great piece of your work. I've seen lots of your material on RUclips and I like the way you make your films!
Little correction to the "light Russian Truck" around minute 36:
This is a so called "IFA W50" made in the eastern part of Germany the GDR, as it was departed from Western Germany about 40 years til 1989. It was the Truck in Eastern Germany which was seen very frequently on the streets! Available as a 4x4 in agriculture or in military.
Greetings from the city Halle/Saale in Germany!
You have been very lucky with a dad like that, cool. 12 y old and in Africa.
Covid was more bare able with your videos, bit now i cant wait for your weekly video when i come home at night.
Why always alone...not worried abou t safety issues

did the seal make that noise?
Namibia😍 my home❤️🇳🇦
One of my favourite channels! Take the time to check out Nick from Namibia...
You could have done this trip in a Corolla
You look about ten years younger!
What a film, thank you, Andrew.
I would of never sold that car.
Hi Andrew, a random question but what portable 12v shower system do you currently ise and where can I purchase one in SA?
I believe it heats the water up and you simply put it into a bucket or bottle of water ?
Regards,
Horea
I like the Kizomba music you are playing in the background in Angola. Once again thanks for your wonderful videos.
lOVELY VIDEOS- You transport everyone into a dimension that it is har dto get out off.. May GOD allow you to keep making videos. Cheers... I do the same thing but on a bicycle- though not so long.
Wonderful video, as always.
A small suggestion, if I may. The narration parts are noticeably louder than the parts spoken in front of the camera. I kept having to adjust the volume on my tv between. Some sort of audio normalization would be nice.
Thank you for these beautiful videos.
I'm having a thought that sticks with me for a few days: what if Australia, being on the extra cautious side of the pandemic will make it extremely difficult for you to chase your plans? I know, you now planted your roots there with family, house, grandchild and all. But if this Covid thing is here to stay - as it seems it definitely is through countless variants - it might almost ruin your international travel plans given Australia stricter rules.
Great video, Great story, educational. When you were finding old military leftovers it reminded me Europe in the 50’s & 60’s. A lot of unexploded ammunition in the forests. They’re still WWII bangers nowadays.
Namibian following you for a while, and you've earned your secondary citizenship.
18:27 beautiful shot 😍 Mrs White
You are a great story teller a great documentary maker a great explorer, overlander ,film maker, photographer, 4x4 builder, best camper, aerospace enginee, best ship maker 😀 and the very best husband and father.
I wish you will never get old man.
Best wishes and thank you very very much 🙏
This Video is so fitting. I just came home from a trip in the Skeleton Coast National Park.
We visited the Kunene Mouth for ahout 7 days. Absolutely amazing!!
Best Land Cruiser ever made ?
Want to go back to beautiful Namibia but COVID won’t let me. Stay safe everyone!
Thank you Andrew for taking us with you what is a wonderful series. Family really enjoyed this series. Such beautiful country. One question I have to ask, when you went to the Delta Camp and the guides took you to the island by canoe and you saw the buffalo what would the guides do if a lion or leopard came after you guys are the guides armed to be able to frighten off the lions?
Wow Andrew this is an awesome series. Thank you. Yes I agree Africa is awesome Angola is still incredible and frightfully expensive.
That big hunk of steel just past the southern gate of the skeleton coast park looks like a bucket chain dredge that they used to mine diamonds with. It look very similar to the gold dredgers.
I have seing most of your videos, but this one, has to be one of the best, content !! Incredible and sadness.
How many Howard Springs chalets can you fit on the troop carriers roof rack ?
Fantastic video. Thank You Andrew
The kizomba in the back was a perfect addition.
I enjoyed it so much I went to your website to find part two😁👍🏻
The road is a combination of salt brine and soil then rolled hard hence the name salt road
Thank you for sharing this video.
Fantastic. Thanks very much.
This must be one of your top 5 videos ever Andrew - really enjoyed it and looking forward to the other 2 parts.
Parts 2 and 3 are linked in the description.
Loved the video.
Awesome video as always
Why you keep selling and building new cars. Is the old one doesn’t meet your needs anymore. the latest build is the best build ever? Thanks.
A lot of the fun is in building one and then taking it on trips.
He builds vehicles for other people too, for example the blue Troopie he's building now is for someone else. Also with the amount of tough kilometres Andrew does, vehicles don't last that long before they start to get rattled apart.
In this case, I moved country. But the 105 Landcruiser is one of the very best I've ever owned.
Nice car Andrew
Amazing!
Mabe go back in time and rebuild the old best 4x4s designed 4 camping and put them too the test there cars we average folks can afford to play with and enjoy , I think these shows are getting too expensive 4 them to make with the outrageous prices 4 new cars , and their begging 4 our money we don't have
