      Stephen Ciccone - You know sometimes adversity in life can be used as a tool to grow, develop, focus, and reach another level of potential. That "moment" of introspection came for Wilmer on live television. If used positively it could fuel something big for Wilmer. I hope it does for his life and career, and if possible The Mets too. I must add that The Mets organization has some work to do with how they handle things. This reminded me of the Willie Randolph fiasco.

      Beltran15x The media reports I saw said "Pending medical reports" which is factual and correct, the Mets on the other hand should not have had the guy on the field if they were that close to a trade, it's common practice to pull a guy if he's even in major talks let alone has a deal all but finalized, and on top of the guy is emotional and heartbroken on the field and your still gonna leave the poor guy out there till the 9th. Nope that is totally on the
      Mets, he should have never taken the field if they were that close to a deal, to let that dude suffer on the field after that is just completely heartless and you can't blame twitter or social media as whole or the reporters for heartlessly leaving the kid on the field now can you?

      zappedzach No you don't understand. Your right they did say that. Which means traded. HOWEVER. If that were true they would of told him and taken him off the field. If he was being traded to that point Snady would of told Collins. The media jumped the gun and reported everything was in place and agreed on. They would lf never let Flores play is they knew they wanted to trade him. That's common sense. Watch Terry's interview. He told Flores that he wasn't told anything and until then you are on this team 100% regardless of social media.

    And THIS is why Mets fans pull their hair out most of the time. The front office has the brains of a houseplant. If there were a HINT of a trade, take him off the field! is that so hard to understand? It rests with the front office because no one told Terry.

      No. The media is the one to blame. rhe organization never said anything about him being traded. MLB.com and ESPN and social media where the ones. Why else do you think he wasn't taken off the field?

      @dondre3000 9 лет назад +3

      Beltran15x Agreed. That rumor spread like wildfire before it was ever a fact. Ken Rosenthal needs to chew on his funny little bowtie.

      Beltran15x David Wright read all the reports and told terry and terry refused to take him out saying "he needs to play"

    • @Beltran15x
      @Beltran15x 9 лет назад

      VenthosAE so you are saying David Wright knows before the coach? Makes sense. lol. Terry told Flores that if he was traded that he would of gotten a call from Sandy.

    • @Aqwtiny
      @Aqwtiny 9 лет назад

      Beltran15x No fucking duh, Wright is allowed to be on his phone since he isnt activated. Everyone else can get a suspension. Wright talked with terry AND flores. DURING the game.

    Still trying to figure out what's so strange about him being so emotional. I'm sure that's how everyone reacts to being traded. It's just they get to do it privately and Wilmer got to do it under the glare of the camera. I thought he held himself together pretty well.

    If I took a trade I'd only go to Baltimore or Houston, the cities that I love. I was born in Maryland lived here all my life and Houston is my adopted town, family having been there almost 20 years.

      not really...they just reported it, It was the lack of communication between the GM and Manager that led to this situation as he should not have been on the field if the trade was almost a done deal pending the medical records.
