@@sethtate2079 Define bad advice. The dude had been getting underpaid his entire career by the Braves. By signing him to 38, they would've been giving him what he deserved all along. He would've stayed in ATL had they gotten even close to the Dodgers' offer. Then they turn around and sign Olson for a bunch of money.
@@CarlosSanchez-lc1pn As a former minor league player, I can tell you with certainty, the only thing a sports organization/Braves owe any player is a paycheck. You don't deserve 'jack,' baseball is a business just like any other and you get what you negotiate! Sounds harsh but it's 100% the truth!
@@sethtate2079 it wasn’t the Braves organization didn’t believe in him, and he wants to play first base that’s his spot they would’ve made him DH and he doesn’t want to do that. He’s done so much for that organization already
Absolutely one of the best, on and off the field. The Man!!!
That’s the true real emotion I love to see from sports. Freeman is and always a Brave.
What a player.
Don’t cry ❤we love you forever ❤
Awesome! Moments like this is one of the many reasons why I love baseball.
This is one of the main reasons that I love baseball. No other sport compares.
Lol
lol you are delusional
Yup
😂😂😂😂
This happens in every sport😂
This makes me cry. I'm a Mets fan
As a lifelong Braves fan I'd just like to say thanks to Freeman. Go Braves
Welcome home freddie, it's OK to cry
If that doesn't look like a player who wishes he never left the Braves I don't know what does? I think he truly realized this today.
Future Hall of Famer!
His agent held the braves ransom for that fifth year and it blew up in his face. He actually would have made more per year as a Brave. His agent thought because it was Freddie it wouldn't be strictly business. Boy was he wrong.
@@mikeb3936 I think I'd be looking for a new agent!
@@nicoleknight9412 agreed plus the deal they secured from the dodgers includes 50 million in deferred payment. If freeman is traded he loses that 50 million in deferrals. The dodgers can trade him in his last year and not have to pay him the 50 million. Terrible deal.
@@mikeb3936 which I am sure they will mainly because freeman has shown some signs that the dodgers isn’t the place he wants to be. The clubhouse will turn on him Kershaw has spoken also on it.
As a Dodgers fan, I teared up. I'm visiting this video after Game 2 World Series, 2024. Dodgers leading the Yankees by 2! Can we see another ring on him? I'll try and remember to come here for the update!
A godly WS performance for the ages from Freddie.
And we won!!!!!!!
Always love Freddie
Great job Freddie. No matter how long you’re with the Dodgers or any other team, you’ll always be one of the greatest Braves in history. Thank you for your time with us, congrats on your new position with the Dodgers. For the A!!
Man i cried just watching this. We love you Freddie, From the bottom of my heart!!!
Matt is good and he will be good for a while and I do like him as a player but he will never replace the hole in my heart.
Hole my guy (you can still correct it).
@@jeremiah_12 thanks, Did not realize it.
Wow! I’ve been a Freddie fan for a few years even before he came to the Dodgers. I’ve always loved and admired his grace and class. Every time he takes his first AB of a game, as he walks up to the plate, he always greets the opposing team’s catcher and then the umpire. Pure class. So glad he’s a Dodger now 💕
I really love him as a man and a baseball player. Watching him play made me smile and he really deserve this moment.
What a nice guy!
Class. Plain and simple. So happy for the dude.
