I’m with you, forget taking off all them bolts to remove that brace. But that tranny fluid Niagara falls is a bit of a mess to deal with. I took a old hydrogen peroxide bottle cut it up in about a minute to make a little open pan/channel to keep the fluid off the brace and right into the pan. All my mess was from filling… 😂 Thanks for the video though. I might have taken the damn brace off otherwise. 😅

Thanks for checking in, great idea with making a funnel above the brace. I’ll have to do that next time.

So easy and cheap, I’d do every year for peace of mind.

You probably have a slightly different transfer case. Do you have an auto 4x4 setting?

What allen wrenches are you using, I am trying to look it up but no dice.

10mm allen. I have a set of Hex Pro Allen wrenches with the swivel joint. A search on Amazon will find them.

The ALLEN WRENCH is a BRAND name, like Craftsman or SnapOn, It is a HEX WRENCH ! ALLEN invented it per say. AND No real need to change the transfer case or trans fluid. it is life time. notice there is NO dip stick ?
