Love how the actual robots are the ones that save Ashoka and Rex here. Sideous spent all that effort to have the clones programmed and it's the programmable droids who foil Order 66.

Breaking news. A Sith has killed the chancellor and ruined the republic despite being shot multiple times. It is though before killing the chancellor he said “ *You can not kill a Sith*”. It is now coming to light that the chancellor is the Sith Lord. If this is true then Order 66 will need to be cancelled. Technically it's also logical because as Rex is commander, he can order other clones around the facility to either isolate them for capture and chip removal OR simply guide them away from Ahsoka and cut the chase.
TheArklyte yeah that’s not gonna cut it because he literally shot 3 guys. Anyone who disobeys the order will be accused of treason against the republic. And at this point Rex is just as much a fugitive as any other Jedi

Anyone else find it rather wholesome that when all hell broke loose for Ashoka and pit her against the clones for a third time, towards the top of her priority list was saving her friend? Pretty much the rest of the Jedi order wouldn't have thought like that, and no other surviving Jedi thought like that at all.
It was thanks to Rex mentioning Fives or else she would never figured it out and Rex would've been disposed like every other clones
Aayla Secura might have saved Bly, but he gunned her down before she could even say anything.
@@JiReyAnimation No she wouldn't have. She had no way of knowing about the chips and as she's a "true Jedi" would've killed him on the spot because she doesn't get attached.

Ahsoka and Anakin, being the way they were, would probably been the only "jedi" who would try and save someone like Rex. Other Jedis wouldn't. (Mostly because they where unaware of the true intention of the Inhibitor chips)
And well... With Anakin having become Vader at this stage, there's really only Ahsoka left who would do this. Following in her master's footsteps.
Besides, the only people who were told of the Inhibitor chip's true intention, as well as who was behind the entire war, was Anakin and Rex.
And Anakin, being as close of a friend to Palpatine as he was, obviously got angry by Fives' accusations about Palpatine's master plan, but Rex? Rex listened.
And it was ultimately this discovery that saved him from the clutches of the Inhibitor chip.
the Droids dying was one of the saddest things ever
they were not Destroyed, they died as heroes

He's the only clone to be one of the clones to almost expose order 66 because of Fives he's been through a lot he know fives was hiding something.... Something that they don't know Rex was a bit confused to react about the order and then the puzzle was finish he knows what fives meant
Edit:One question why was Tup so obsessed than the others when executed the order Rex just got mad but not like tup I hope we see Gregor and Wolffe doing this or maybe other clones that died for what they choose :'(

Well one of the droids in this episode is voiced by Dave Filoni who also voiced chopper
FlightX101 its not Chopper, as he was in one of the Y-Wings used in the Battle of Ryloth at the end of Season 1. It was shot down and crash-landed on the planet, which is how Hera found him.
But I believe this droid is the same model of Astromech as he is. Chopper’s number was C1-10P, Cheep’s number is likely C1-33P if I had to guess.
I’m convinced the droid on the left at 0:30 is the same series as chopper

Something I like about the whole thing with the Inhibitor chips is how incredibly powerful they were when they first activated.
So Rex, despite being a lot more independent than most clones, STILL wasn't powerful enough to stop the chip from taking control of him.
And I like that direction the writers took. Like, a lot of other people would just have taken the boring route and said "Oh, Rex is so independent and strong willed that he manages to fight against the chip trough the power of friendship" Or some BS like that.
So MAN am I glad even Rex couldn't control it. Shows to how incredibly powerful these chips were. No clone would have been able to control them.
That is also why Rex fears the chips as much as he does when he reunites with the Bad Batch, and notices Wrecker's headaches.
Rex KNOWS what's happening to Wrecker at that moment, and he KNOWS the rest of the Bad Batch's chips could potentially end up the same way.
That is why he did not want to take any chances with it, and got the group to Bracca right away in order to remove the chips as quickly as possible.
Make no mistake, the chips are impossible to control. And any clone becomes a literal killing machine serving the dark side with malicious intent, regardless of their own backstory.

If Rex DIDN'T have the chip to begin with, he would DEFINITELY realize something was horribly wrong, when all his brothers suddenly turned on Ahsoka and then probably on him, if he didn't play his cards correctly. He would also likely have realized that what Fives warned him about some weeks or months back, JUST happened, right there and then.
@@TheTrytix I don’t think the inhibitor chip was the cause for Rex not believing Fives, He didn’t believe him because it was so shocking to him and he thought it was nearly impossible
@@vincenthu9773 Well, Rex thought there was something about what Fives did say, concerning the Inhibitor chip. He didn't know for sure, but he decided to document what he thought regardless.
Just in case.
It has nothing to do with Rex believing it or not, Rex might have thought that what Fives was saying sounded obscure, but then again, Fives was Rex's friend, and he couldn't just throw away the things Fives DID tell him either.
I Like How Rex Was Distracted By Ahsoka Tano And Droids Knock Him Out With Electric Such A Funny Reaction When He Went Down
That was some straight bs. He's wearing an insulated body suit underneath that armor, which is glorified plastic. Neither of which is a conductor of electricity, so sure that'd sting, but not instant KO like it was here. Kind of disapointed they didn't straight up fight here, especially since Rex DID go through alpha 17's training program.

@Rael Kvasiir I've noticed that he clenches his fists at the very beginning of Ahsoka's recording, so it's possible that he's supposed to be aggressive in that moment of recognition but remains still. Maybe he's fighting the programming like he did at the very beginning of Oder 66. Because, yeah, he doesn't get aggressive until after, but there's clearly something going on
