This scene is symbolic:
-A crashing Venator, showing the fall of the Republic, caused by a dark side user from the inside
-The clones trapped on board, showing that they will suffer the Republic’s fate
-Ahsoka escaping in a Y-Wing bomber, which is not only the first ship she rode in the show but also a prominent Rebellion ship, showing that a part of the dying Republic has escaped and will soon grow
I love how this is beautifully written. I hadn’t thought about it like that and I’ve rewatched this series multiple times. Goes to show you learn something new everyday.
those are amazing details you noticed
Yooooo!!!!...Not to mention that dark user wanted Ahsoka to join them just like another we know with another hero..
Thats pretty smart to think about this and how this compares with the beginning of the empire. How the scene is symbolic to those scary moments between emperor and empire vs rebellion
That little move Ashoka using the force to cut the floor. I never noticed that until now, that was awesome
With the musical queue too, it was such a great moment of seeing just how far she's come
That little move was the whole episode don’t know how u missed that’ 😂👍👍
Also funny how probably a couple days earlier, Obi Wan and Anakin did the same trick.
They taught her well.
That was awesome
@@magortom that music cue is the whole reason I saved this video
I love how she looks so sure of herself and confident after rescuing Rex but as the episode progresses her face reads more and more “I’m about to die horrifically” 😂😅
I really want to like this comment but I cannot allow it to stop having 66 likes.
More like she was getting tired from having to keep up the intensity of staying alive. Adrenaline only works for so long.
I love seeing her actually progressively get tired too. The little details they add are amazing
homegirl was fighting the most dangerous and proefficient squadron of Clones the Republic ever had by herself with 1 General clone, Most if not almost all other Jedi Masters in her position would have died.
she was TRAINED for this moment and scenario but it’s normal to get tired
I think it was more going from "We can save the clones" to "I have to kill the people who basically are my family!"
I always think about how Rex went to the effort to stun all the clones and not kill any of them just for all of them to probably die in the cruiser crash anyway...sad

@@seltrixbl2623 us rebels a good series as this show is
I like how in this episode, the main characters actually get shot and get weakened. It’s shows they are strong, but not invincible
Ahsoka actually has some baskar plating in her clothes so that is why the shot wasn't as critical
And Ahsoka's first plan fails miserably when Maul steals her ship and she isn't strong enough to hold it back.

@@TWO_THOUSAND_SEAVY_HEAVY yup. The idea of Anakin as Tyson is quite terrifying now that I think about it.
A lot of these clones seem to be missing easy shots. Part of me thinks, or at least part of me wants to think, that they were doing their very best to resist the influence of the inhibitor chips, using all of their willpower to ensure that they missed Rex and Ahsoka as much as they could. In a way, every single person on that Venator - Ahsoka, Rex, Jesse, the astromechs and the entire 501st - did whatever they could to ensure that Rex and Ahsoka survived.
That’s just how they became storm troopers
That's actually a fantastic explanation for why Rex and Ahsoka are alive after being shot at that for that long.
Ahshoka also earned their trust and respect. She worked to learn about her men and they about her. This is why Rex pulled out his, why he hesitated and told her to get out. Because he trusted her and liked her. The other jedi didnt do so thats why they were offed so quickly
@@faris6174 Storm troopers came about when the Empire stopped making new clones and recruited from local systems because it was cheaper but they weren't as experienced or bred for combat like clones were.

I knew she would have survived, but it was honestly scary to see Ahsoka so upset and tired in combat :(
HOWDIE
I showed my sister all of Clone Wars before she watched Rebels, it was interesting to see her worry Ahsoka wouldn't survive here. Even though the writers knew a lot of the people watching were aware Ahsoka survives, they still gave her some very close calls that made my sister worry she was about to die.
I mean the way she’s moving to wield both lightsabers is eventually going to start to take its toll. On top of that, she’s fighting soldiers she’s worked with up to that point as well, people she thought she could trust and going out of her way to try to not kill them. Makes it amazing they both made it off that ship at all trying not to kill anyone.
@@wisconsinwintergreen6296 She almost died three or four times.
The only reason she survived was Rex - removing his chip and Rex popping up to help close the door and kill the clones tryna gun her down. She'd been hit... she was going to die and she knew it right then

@@TheKenji2221 The Bad Batch arc was great. The Martez sisters one was just boring and useless for the most part.
Andor is way better, let's be real.
Rex having his blasters on “Stun” is heartbreaking because it shows he doesn’t want to kill any of his brothers but taking them out is something he has to do in order to survive.
Hey don't cry it's okay it's okay regular my guy it's okay don't cry it's okay
We see ahsoka Tano and Captain Rex are safe now they both are
Probably helps with ammo conservation too.
Ashoka ordered him to set to stun. He has no problem shooting to kill even though he would be upset.
One of my favorite things about these scenes is that you can see ahsoka get progressively more exhausted as the fight goes on. her movements become slower and less precise. good details
Man, seeing that damaged Venator Star Destroyer crashing down is both amazing and sad. In my opinion, it shows how the Clone Wars is at end, along with The Republic and its clones.
And the fact that Rex and Ashoka escaped in a Y Wing is symbolic to there still being hope for the future Rebellion as the Y Wing was one of the Key ships of the Rebel Alliance.

You can easily see, between the succession of these clips, how tired and spent Ahsoka becomes. Not only cause of the fatigue, but especially cause she is fighting her friends, her brothers.
Watching this episode was heartbreaking and tiring, so much so that when Ahsoka started free falling, I sighed a breath of release cause I knew the worst was over
It’s amazing how she survived all that when most others didn’t. If it wasn’t for Rex’s help even Ashoka might have… yeah
*Ahsoka. Come on, not that hard.
"A Jedi uses the Force for knowledge and defense, never for attack."

Ahsoka is a perfect balance bewteen Yoda, Anakin and Luke. She has some of the finest traits of all three, what an absolute magical star wars character.
Well, she was defending herself by nonlethally pushing those clones away ^.^
0:00 - 0:29 Rex has some insane accuracy. He just one shots every clone in approach. The lads insane
He is one of the best :)
the stun mode shots are also much more bigger than normal lethal shots, so that helps
Those clones forgot their plot armor
Speaking of accuracy, Rex still is a great shot even decades later when he shot down that escaping probe droid.
If you play in slow motion at 0:12, you can see Rex shoots for two, but only hits one. The second shot hits the corridor. Then Ahsoka comes in with the assist.
its insane how much better this is than the films
This was honestly a fantastic finale. Insanely memorable and one of a kind really
Watching Rex and Ashoka fight in unison is so satisfying. Like how the switch sides simultaneously at 0:08 You can tell they’ve worked together for years
One of my favorite details they implemented, you see a little bit of it throughout the show but nothing like this, just looks so smooth and shows the viewer they’ve been doing this for years in the war.

In my mind Ahsoka is more powerful than any of the other Jedi. She was one of the few Jedi who survived. She was smart and strong and that’s what got her and Rex out of there.
Don’t know about ANY, but she was definitely up there by this point. She was definitely council level imo and she even defeated maul, but I say she’s still weaker than the top masters like windu, obi, or anakin
@@J99___ That is true. Maybe 4th place.
@@J99___ She was a teenage Padawan, you are comparing her to fully grown adults.
She was Anakin 's pupil after all, that says a lot.
@@bohlalenchabeleng1370 Yeah I’m aware, I’m addressing what the original comment said about ahsoka being the most powerful ever. I don’t think she’s on that level for many reasons and one being her lack of her experience. However, even as a teen padawan she was atleast council level and very powerful by the end of the war, and her adult self fought Vader toe to toe. Ahsoka is very powerful and definitely above many who are way older than her, but I don’t think she’s the most powerful there ever was by a long shot. I’d say s7 ahsoka is like high council level power, but a bit below the top tiers like windu. Adult ahsoka I’d say is around the same power-wise, but her fighting style and fluidity increased a lot. So any ahsoka I’d say is high council level, but not quite on par with the top jedi like Anakin or windu
They always managed to capture one thing so well: The calm before the storm. The war was over, the Republic had won, yet it felt so wrong. It feels like there was something coming although the Seperatists had been defeated.

Ahsoka is just the Best. I loved her from the 1st time she showed up in SW.
I love the sense of peril at around 0:55 to 1:03. A lot of stories have main protagonists who wear plot armor like kevlar, and you know no matter how flashy the fight or villians are, they're not in any real danger. With all the beloved Jedi characters that died in Order 66, that is shattered. The idea that the main guys always make it okay is snatched right before our very eyes and its executed really well. It actually feels like Ahsoka and Rex are in genuine danger and the stray blast hitting her shoulder was just icing on the cake. Also a cool detail, whenever Ahsoka is injured its almost always the same spot on her right shoulder. She got an identical injury when protecting Padme from Aurra Sing
Man, i love ahsoka, favourite Star wars character by far
Seeing Ashoka and Rex fighting together with such a clean movement really show how good their chemistry and bond rlly is
I can’t even imagine how exhausted the two of them just be
we can all agree the music performed by Kevin Kiner puts this episode on whole other level!
1:38 Ahsoka the fucking bad ass
That scene and the 'race to the surface' on Mandalore are absolutely outstanding.
The most bad ass action in any medium, in my view.
Since The Force apparently allows you to ignore wind shear, gravity and relativity, Darth Vadar was right: "The ability to destroy a planet is insignificant next to the power of The Force."
I really like how they changed the sound of blasters to fit like it was in A New Hope, combined with the use of paralysing rays just like in Episode IV.
I'm glad and relieved that they let Rex survive. I wish we could have seen our other favorite clones live
Besides Rex two others did
You can see Ahsoka visibly tiring as she fights. Having to keep up THAT much intensity just to stay alive is taxing no matter how skilled you are.
This is still in the top 5 for best episodes in all of Star Wars content.
The skill, the confidence, the determination, the friendship. Truly friends and followers of Anakins lead.

1:20 and on is one of the most epic things I’ve ever seen
Just saw Ahsoka cutting the floor like it's butter and it remember me how long it took to Master Qui-Gon to actually pierce through that door in Ep.1.
I know it is logical powercreep, but still.
Reinforced blast doors vs single deck plating. Pretty significant differences.
The door that Qui-Gon tried to go through was probably twice as thick as his saber was long, there was no way it could have gone through as smoothly and quickly as Ahsoka's did through about a foot of deck-plating.
this is more wild when you realize that since those characters were introduced in this show, they can technically be killed, adding alot more weight to this
It's honestly crazy that Ashoka is one of the few people who had survived the clone wars and managed to live through the Reign of the empire until the end and she actually got to meet her master's son as well in mandalorian.
Here Ahsoka show us that she is really the chosen padawan of the Chosen one... ♥

I’m glad that the focus on the ending becomes about Ahsoka as opposed to any other the other remaining masters we’ve already seen on the big screen. We know of their fates, we know how that played out. Ahsoka was a character introduced to film audiences through this show, so it’s quite fitting how the finale is about her and Rex and other facets of order 66 we don’t get to see play out in the movies

Clone Wars+Mando
way better than 3 movies of Rey+Kylo Dyad Junk
@Don The prequels had their fair share of elements that misfired, no doubt. But they're definitely better than the sequels.
The sequels just had no plot. Plain and simple.
Examples include:
- Kylo loosing to an untrained Rey, despite having been trained by Luke, Sidious(as Snoke), and being a direct descendant of a Skywalker
- Snoke came out of nowhere and had no backstory whatsoever
- Leia has force powers now? Why didn’t Vader sense that when he had her on his ship?
- Kylo worships Vader, who renounced his Sith side, makes zero sense.
- Rey can lift boulders effortlessly, yet Luke struggled to budge a X-wing. OK👌
- Lightsaber choreography was just terrible. Looked like a bunch of kids swinging sticks.
- Palpatine is alive, which essentially makes Anakin’s sacrifice, backstory, and the prophecy null and void.
- The Holdo Maneuver? Why weren’t the rebels autopiloting ships into other ships like that?
- “Rise of Skywalker” - Kills off the last Skywalker.
- Hux’ betrayal was so forced.
- Rose Tico and Finn was a cringy, B level, forced narrative to appease race culture. Could it have been written to work well? Yes. Was it? Not at all.
- Mark had them kill Luke off because they sucked, enough said.
@@davidhelling6035 Did you hear the one theory that explained Holdo was actually trying to escape by jumping to lightspeed, but miscalculated?
