Sounds alot like our fiendish little over-wound coo-coo clock, Chopper.
This is Master Obi-Wan Kenobi. I regret to report that both our Jedi Order and the Republic have fallen, with the dark shadow of the Empire rising to take their place. This message is a warning and a reminder for any surviving Jedi: trust in the Force. Do not return to the Temple. That time has passed, and our future is uncertain. We will each be challenged: our trust, our faith, our friendships. But we must persevere and, in time, I believe a new hope will emerge. May the Force be with you always.
Lorenz Frost you made me cry, thank you.
Lorenz Frost, and so begins the era of the original trilogy.. after when all of this is said and done, maybe Dave filoni should get in contact with Lucas to see if he can make the original trilogy animated. Be a good idea for tying into revenge of the Sith. After this it's rogue one and solo. Then a new hope and Empire strikes back. Then return of the Jedi. Rebels was based on the events before a new hope and Empire strikes back. Even return of the Jedi. Or I got an idea; what if.. he creates an animated series on the books from the expanded universe making the characters from that section trilogy canon again. But not tying into the sequel trilogy. Think about it, he managed to pull off bokotan who was a redhead mandalorian character. So he can do the same for Mara. That way Mara jade Skywalker is canon of being Luke skywalkers wife and mother to Ben Skywalker. He can pull it off. I believe that can happen.
@@Knightrogue24. I don't know if Disney is willing to throw out the entire sequel trilogy (no matter how evident it is that they fucked it up). However, giving Dave Filoni the reigns to a show that explores the gap between Return of the Jedi and The Force Awakens could help the sequel trilogy in a similar way to how Clone Wars helps the prequels.
Clone Wars does a lot to add weight and context to elements of the prequels that feel underdeveloped. Anakin and Obi-Wan's friendship, the clone troopers, the Jedi and their relationships with said clones, Darth Maul, etc. All of these elements were barely touched upon, or in the case of Obi-Wan and Anakin, completely unconvincing until Filoni and crew gave them the depth they needed.
The space between RotJ and TFA is similarly barely elaborated on and creates a ton of unanswered questions for the audience. Giving that space in time the Clone Wars treatment would do A LOT to fix that trilogy (shame they can't retroactively fix the poor excuse for an ending Rise of Skywalker was though). Think about it. Develop the New Republic, show Luke struggling to reestablish the order, show how The First Order rose out of the ashes of the Empire. Show how the responsibility of carrying an entire legacy on his shoulders weighs down on Luke, and how it pushes him down far enough to make his ultimate mistake in trying to kill Ben. Show the New Republic growing corrupt and ignorant as Leia is eventually forced out of her position of power. Show us how Ben becomes estranged from his family, how he grows to idolize Vader and the dark side. If Disney isn't going to quietly sweep the sequel trilogy under the rug and continue to shove it in our faces, then the least they could do is try to fix it in any way they can.
Um...sorry. I obviously got a little bit carried away there. But I will maintain that, keeping expectations realistic, this would be an excellent way to give Filoni and crew a chance to tackle original trilogy characters and also a chance to improve the sequel trilogy.
@@brycebitetti1402 they can do the mandalorian way of story telling during the after original trilogy, which make more sense to flash out more stories for the sequel trilogy.
I really hope Ahsoka sees that message so she at least knows he's alive

David James awesome, Hopefully ahsoka is in it. I just think her and cal meeting might be cool
I'm pretty sure this only worked because of their strong bond. They really saved each other
Even more foreshadowing to Rogue One here. The entire phrase is what the Monk Chirrut says. This only worked because of the strong bond rex and ahsoka share from all they've been through together. In this one moment they were one. This is a big moment where the Jedi code was at fault. Here affections, friendship, and attachment is what has saved them big time. Not just for ahsoka, but for rex's soul, conscience, existence, and faith.
Emotion and attachment are also what saved Anakin and if he was allowed to express that love for his wife he would have had many to turn to rather than palpatine to save her
Forgive me if I'm being idiot but when and what Rogue one foreshadowing in this scene

Now Ahsoka needs to repeat the process to tens or hundreds millions of clones.
Or two times for Gregor and Wolfe
Jared Garcia Rex seemed to have done it himself after this experience
Gregor should be fine as he was apparently isolated from the Republic but Wolffe seemed to play a part in killing Plo, which either have went AWOL or Rex found him and removed chip then
Some of the clones may choose to serve the empire at there own free will though
@@TopRanger237 IIRC, that's in Legends. Legends Clones didn't have inhibitor chips.
Or maybe just Delta Squad.
Love how they keep putting force bonds in here and there. Obviously Ahsoka and Anakin had one, all Masters and Padawans have a bond, but here Ahsoka just made an even deeper connection to Rex than she already had (clearly they had a deep friendship connection before). Anything that involves Ahsoka and Rex is A-grade story material.
1:20 Apart from being a beautiful tie in with Rogue One, I think this was to make Rex resist the Inhibitor chip and in turn makes the chip work harder, therefore it'll show up on the scanners.
That's a good explanation actually. Thank you.

I love how Ahsoka Tano starts repeating “I am one with the force and the force is with me.” Then Captain Rex repeats it with her
This shows that Asoka refuses to give up on Rex because like she said early in the episodic Rex is more than a officer to her he is one of her best friends
Yup friends dont give up on each other ahsoka proves that by saving Rex
I like ahsoka, she never gives up on people she loves, like here with rex also vader she tries to save him after finding out he's anakin and there is a theory that she was trying to save anakin from the blast of the sith temple when she stabbed the floor, idk how true that is but it is in ahsokas nature especially if its someone she loves so idk.
what breaks my heart about this scene is that this shows that if the Jedi has examined Tup at the temple like they wanted to in season 6...it’s possible they would have discovered the true purpose of the chips
It makes me wonder why no one thought to just take one of the many clone corpses lying around and examine it

I liked how ahsoka captured rex. That was brilliant.
Since back then Fives located his own chip easily and here the scanner failed to detect the chip without help from the force, that means Sidious hid the chip using the force after Fives almost exposed the plan.
I think the issue was that they Fives had much more advanced medical equipment on Kamino than Ahsoka did here.
0:50 my favourite sentence
I can tell that rex was stalling the clones the whole time when his chip enacted him to enact order 66 so he was resisting it the whole time but just not 100% until his chip was removed he was hoping Ahsoka would remove it somehow so he didn’t let it control him like that but it was more just controlling his movements but not his actual mind because he’s an independent thinker compared to the other clones and not weak minded compared to them so that explains how he was able to do it
I broke at this scene. In Rogue One, this phrase is used by Chirrut and it’s explained by Baze as a “prayer.” When Chirrut is reciting this phrase, “I am one with the Force, and the Force is with Me.” Baze asked, “Are you praying?” Chirrut reminds Baze of his past deep faith in the Force. Being a person of personal faith myself, I immediately just broke and said out loud, by myself, “She’s praying.” I absolutely loved this nod or foreshadowing to the reality of the Force. George Lucas always said that Star Wars was a blend of Science Fiction and Spirituality. And on the spiritual paradigm he touches on themes that are relatable across many forms of spirituality and faith. This is what draws me to Star Wars. As a Chaplain myself, it doesn’t matter who or what you believe or place your faith in, Star Wars can relate to many, if not all. Reality is that as humans we have a “spiritual” element of our make up or design. And Star Wars taps into that common place of spirituality.
That's really beautiful.
She's out of options and everything is for nothing if she doesn't get this right. So she prays.
It's nice to see that there's a prayer/mantra for them to say.

Huh all the teories on Captain Rex was nearly wrong he doo have an hibitor chip and not a defectibe clone means he has really good skills
Technically, I think this actually proves part of the theory correct. For Rex to have resisted like he did, he probably has to be sort of defective.
@@carlycrays2831 Or it's the strong bond between the two that stopped him from pulling the trigger.
@@carlycrays2831 probably because his quite vast knowledge about the chip's existence (despite not knowing the true purpose) kinda tampered the chip's function in his brain

Never thought something from Rogue One would be the deciding factor in Clone Wars. This is why we love you, Filoni.
Thank you ashoka
You know what’s funny? In order to be able to be Jedi mind tricked you have to be “weak minded”. In the clone wars movie, ventress was able to mind trick Rex, making him weak minded. I think the clone wars changed him. I think he is no longer weak minded. In fact, he became so disciplined that he was able to resist the effects of the inhibitor chip for enough time to tell Ashoka to find the report about fives
Actually Rex was able to tip Anakin off that he was being mind tricked so it didn't completely work
I think this works here because, deep down, Rex would rather not like to be mind controlled by the Sith
I watched the video of Ventress mind tricking Rex again, and I just looked at rex’s profile on wookipedia. Rex did tip off Anakin that something was wrong when he contacted him, but I don’t think Rex purposely gave away the fact that he was mind tricked. Tbh, I think Ventress DID successfully mind trick him. After she told him to contact Skywalker, he repeated what she said and did it. He would had to have known how mind tricks work to know to repeat the words. It is unlikely rex knew much about the force or its powers at that point in time. I think he fell for it. Either way, war changed many of the clones. Rex became much more disciplined. If he were mind tricked somehow in season 7, I think he could potentially resist it completely.
@@shoeman6966 It does seem like a mistake Ventress would make. She's so brash and eager to prove herself that she doesn't think about what a clone like Rex would actually say to Anakin. This is especially glaring since she had time to observe the clones a bit before using Rex, so she could have picked up on it had she been thinking.
But hey, those wacky Dathomirians all sort of do that. Save Merrin, who comes across as a genius.
Carly Crays I dunno, I personally think the mind trick was successful, and it was a way the writers showed Rex’s mental change throughout the war.

I'm one with the force and the force is with me.
The quote I’m one with the force and the force is with me is so powerful
Disney did a great job incorporating elements from Rogue One and Solo into this Arc.
Almost feels like she'll pull out the chip using the force, but that'll kill Rex
Ahsoka forgot to run the scan under a level 7 atomic scan ..
That's why the scans couldn't find the chip inside Rex's head.
Hacksaw ridge star wars version
Ahsoka: Give me save one more!! One more one more give me save one more!
Dang that was skin chilling to watch🥶
it all makes sense on what Rex Said that he removed his chip
So my guess here is that ahsoka made contact with rex via the force and the inhibitor chip reacted to her communication with him thus revealing its location in his cerebellum. Meaning that the chip is now fully active and basically makes them all drones devoid of free thinking
Ironically turning them into droids

If every Jedi were like maul for sure they would survive the purge
Samriddha G.C I disagree with that, Maul already knew what was going to happen, he only realized the full extent and how it was going to happen as it was going down right in front of him when Ahsoka saves his ass from being executed. Most Jedi were far too late to mount a Defense against the clones and were subsequently gunned down, case in point being Aalaya Secura who sensed the sudden change in the clones but never even had a chance to ignite her Lightsabre and turn around before she was shot to hell by the clones in the back. Other Jedi stronger in the force were at least able defend themselves but (and although it is never explicitly stated, I’d probably guess that this definitely played a factor into their fates) the shock of what was happening combined with the overwhelming force of the clones led to the Jedi being gunned down anyway, some were even still compassionate towards their troops and may not have wanted to kill them (again, not explicitly stated but they fought with these men for 3 years in some of the worst battles the galaxy had ever seen, one does not simply turn around and want to end that person where they stand) and it was because of that compassion that had been taught to them their whole life that led to their execution. Ki Adi Mundi was an example of shock, he turns around to see all his men stopped and aiming at him, they open fire on him, he is deflecting their shots left and right but it’s no use, he was over whelmed and, by the look on his face before the clones opened fire, he was shocked or maybe slightly confused as to why they took aim at him and he was unfortunately gunned down like so many others. Very, very few Jedi managed to escape for various reasons, but being “more like Maul” would not have saved them and they would have died anyway without the prior knowledge that something like this was going to happen, Maul in the last 2 episodes demonstrated that on edge attitude that made him suspicious of just about everything and a tad bit jumpy and ready to go on a murderous rampage at the drop of a hat, the Jedi, not armed with any sort of knowledge like this would not have any reason to suspect something was about to go down and as stated somewhere (don’t remember where, do remember it was a piece of Canon stuff tho) they were caught completely off guard. Maul had that knowledge, and Maul would have survived because he was on guard and he would have struck first, then the only ones caught off guard would be the clones who then would be torn apart be Maul before they even had a chance to attempt to take him out
So Chirrut's mantra is now officially a Jedi mantra
For the Jedi to forbid attachments is as stupid as for Medicine Cats in Warriors to be forbidden from having a mate and kits because the "they'll be bias" rule. Jedi are human; they don't POP out of the Ether. This is exactly why there shouldn't BE a Jedi or Sith code; just shades of grey. After all, attachments are what SAVES THE GALAXY every single GOD DAMN TIME. From Ben Solo saving Rey, to Rey fighting to save her friends, to Anakin saving his son, to Obi-Wan guiding Luke after dying, to Ahsoka being saved by Ezra like....Jedi come on don't be stupid, stupid.
well, Luke's new jedi order already allow marriage within the order. Well that's what the Legends say, I don't know about the disney's cannon.
@@alfredocubelo1109 yeah that bullshit headcannon just said "legends order go YEET"
well this is all based on Budhism and Hinduism and it is nonsense teaching because human nature is corrupted and having a certain moral doesnt make you a good person, because the problem with subjective moral is that your moral will always hurt certain groups of people. That is why God' moral is the best ine because provides perfect and equal justice for everyone. I like Star wars but realized much later the original movies were of gnostic nature meaning they made the villains Sidious and Vader to represent God and Jesus but in evil way. All the suit priest symbolics on Vader's suit and the birth of Anakin combined with his prophecy and fall to the dark side. Hollywood is known to be heavily gnostic and even worse adhering to the teachings of the satanist Crowley.
The only loophole that I can think of to wear ahsoka could have saved everyone on the ship was if she had Rex order most of the clones to have there chips removed with a clever lie like there is an explosive chip in our head that we need to remove before the jedi finds out about it and uses it against us
Does this mean the chips were hidden with the dark side probably? Why did it require ahsoka’s use of the force to discover it?
Sturdy gaming My theory is that the chip was hidden because it was deactivated. It fulfilled its function when Order 66 was broadcast and the clones turned. Ashoka’s mild meld was suppressing/reversing the programming, forcing the chip to switch back on to re-assert Order 66. This made it discoverable by the scanner.
Chris Fontaine wouldn’t the Chip remain activated when Order 66 was given, at least until the Clones carried it out and killed the Jedi whose command they were under?
A likely explanation as to why the inhibitor chip wasn’t detected was probably due to the fact that it is partially organic. That way it remains hidden from most scanners and read as being just part of the brain. Otherwise they would’ve been discovered in an injured Clone’s head long before Fives found the one that malfunctioned in Tup’s head (which was initially assumed to be a brain tumor).
She took away his inhibitor chip 66 bending
This doesn’t explain how Ashokas face got long in the Rebels series
Pretty sure it's just animation style, just look at anakin and Yoda and obi wan and maul in rebels too
As the above stated, it's an animation style difference between the two shows and also it's been 15 or more years since.
Ahsoka is about 17 in this, and in her 30s by the time Rebels happens. It's totally believable that she'd look differently as she aged
@@simpsonman956 Yeahh but her whole facial structure changed so it doesn't look very natural. And this is just a personal preference but I really hate the change in animation in Rebels. Ahsoka in Rebels should have looked like the vision she had of her future self in the Mortis arc.
