    Agreed R.I.P Bruce Lee

    You will be missed for ever.

    That is truly amazing. Goes to show people the only limts that we have sometimes is the ones set for ourselves and Bruce Lee surpassed the average human being limts.

    I have nothing against Bruce, in fact Im a huge fan of his. I still think he is the greatest martial artist to ever grace the big screen, his unique style was mesmerizing, and his hunger for perfecting his fighting ability and his great understanding of fighting and the use of the body really shone through even on screen.

    Listen everyone! I'm happy to share my research on Bruce Lee but you all have to quit using foul language and appreciate my hard work and dedication to bringing these facts to light. OK now IF you are all calmed down, Bruce Lee was, as many know, lactose intolerant, and as such, often felt a deep seeded anger towards the bovine. He was open about this and often practiced karate on cows. Asked about this he was quoted "The cow are not like water, they only respect fork and steak knife."

    @TOWinkworthIpswich throwing hooks does make your punch shorter, but also note that it is VERY useful at certain times. Straight punches have their weaknesses too. In that you can punch AROUND them. You should see how many people Roy Jones counter-left hooked while they threw a straight punch LOL, it made them look extremely silly. And made him seem untouchable.

  • @bastiglione

    Not known my many that Bruce Lee admittedly learned to find as defense to get away from his uncle Darnel's advances as a child. His uncle would often try to get Bruce to sit on his lap and touch him inappropriately . Being that Bruce was sitting on his lap meant he was extremely close to his uncle and in order to strike him effectively he had to develop a technique to strike at close range without having the ability to "cock" his punches. Thus the 1 inch punch was developed.

    @lildertygangsta the idea is not to stick to one or other styles, it is to be compiled as one, not a style of your own, but a style of one self- threw fighting style and philsopy, using what is useful to you.

    I was going to stop sharing my wisdom on Bruce because of the hate comments but then I decided I would only being doing a dis-service to the masses. Unknown to those outside his circle, Bruce's favorite food was Captain Crunch cereal and his favorite beverage was grape Kool-Aid. He often kept several months supply in his home for fear of a shortage. It was speculated he may have had an excessive amount of sugar in his system when he assed contributing to his demise.....You be the judge

    But that doesn't mean he was a unbeatable fighter! He himself admitted he was unable to fight grapplers, which is why he learnt judo. Bruce fathered mixed martial arts, he never mastered it.

  • @5ubjugator
    @5ubjugator 14 лет назад

    @THACREAMOFSUMYUNGGUY All likelihood is that if bruce throws any kicks, the Pacman will either take them on the legs/core/shoulders and close the gap. Lee would not want to lose his balance, and he definiitley would not be able to kick while Pacman barrages him with his thunderous punches.
    Unless you've boxed for quite a while, you simply cannt appreciate how good pacquiao is. He is something really special, hes not just any boxer. Lee would not have the confidence to even take him on

    I am sick and tired of deluded martial art movie addicts making the wildest and most far-fetched claims about bruce lee as if he was this untouchable, super-quick, mega-powerful fighting machine that could defeat any man on the face of the earth.
    It honestly shows that they know absolutely nothing at all about actual fighting and how much skill, confidence and experience it takes to really dominate a worthy opponent in a real fight.
    Bruce would get HOSPITALISED, maybe even killed by Mike Tyson

    @THACREAMOFSUMYUNGGUY Its more likely that mike would hammer his head with his fist, while he tries to kick him. Nah, more realistically, he would probable just turn his hips to the side to avoid the groin kick. Its very easy for a man with his reaction speeds... after that, i could easily see him either crushing bruce's skull with a barrage of hooks, or he might just use his enormous power and athletism to just wrestle him to the floor and pound his face until it becomes a frisbee.

    Listen, what I do isn’t funny, it's education and fortunate for everyone I don’t charge membership fees for my knowledge of "BruBru", that's what close friends called him. Anyway, the large following and support I have received further inspire my dedication to sharing facts on "Big Papa L"; this is often how relatives and fellow members of our secret Bruce Lee society reference him. I leave you today with this; Big Papa L did in fact only possess one testicle after a nunchuk demo gone awry.

    @TOWinkworthIpswich Later on in life, Bruce realised the beauty in the science of boxing. It has been at a competitive level for over 100 years, and has developed so much, that it cannot be improved on much. When a boxer throws a punch with one hand, he immediately twists his body to wind up ready for a punch with the other hand. While the punching hand is extended (not hooks), it is blocking from
    MOST attacks and acts as an obstacle. You CAN block and attack at the same time. Just not 100%

  • @bastiglione

    There's debate about Bruce Lee ever having formal martial arts training. It is understood he was actually gay from a young age and only put up a fighter persona to overshadow letting his love for men show.

  • @Woolfrey

    Yeah... let's see his punching speed against a Japanese master.

  • @5ubjugator
    @5ubjugator 14 лет назад

    @TOWinkworthIpswich And still hes one of the most successful fighters in the history of boxing. He messes with their minds IN the ring, not with showboating, (well, a little bit), but with an early display of his magnificent speed and power, which shocks almost all his opponents, and then he has been known to go against the ropes and take a beating (eg cotto fight), to make the opponent question himself. He feints, urges the opponent on, he even nods at the opponent as if it is a lesson.

  • @SeriousBabi

    @THACREAMOFSUMYUNGGUY Another example where Lee realised he wasn't good enough was after the Wong Jack Man fight that he *supposedly* won. (some say it was a draw). This was when he realised his wing tsun was only restricting him in fights. So, guess what, he wasn't that great, once. Surprise, surprise. People aren't born great, they work and develop to become great. And that's exactly what Pacman did. He is now a boxing great, and NOONE can deny that, because the evidence is there for all.

  • @5ubjugator
    @5ubjugator 14 лет назад

    @THACREAMOFSUMYUNGGUY The fact that Pacquiao got beat once proved nothing other than the fact that he wasn't that great a boxer once. Big deal. After training with Gene LeBell, Bruce realised he was MUCH more vulnerable than he realised. So he trained in grappling. I guarantee that if Gene and Lee ever fought Lee would have got submitted within seconds. Lee was NOT invulnerable. He had weaknesses, and was human.

  • @5ubjugator
    @5ubjugator 14 лет назад

    @TOWinkworthIpswich Trust me, combos are NOT an instant fail, if you pick them right for the right occasion. LOL, you can;t just go ok, left, right hook, uppercut lol, you need to pick you shots, and prepare of the worst. Combos keep the opponent thinking, and you attacking

  • @5ubjugator
    @5ubjugator 14 лет назад

    @THACREAMOFSUMYUNGGUY he did get ktfo, you're right. He got punched on the button and he didn't see it. But that was the pacman before he had become the fighter he is known as today. A furiously fast and powerful puncher, with technical ability also head and shoulders above the rest (bar mayweather).
    What's the matter, nothing useful left to say?

    Apologies for any of my insults, we can continue this tomorrow if you like. For now, I need to sleep, I have work 2moro!
    Referring to your remaining comments 1, Tyson used his height to his advantage. He ducked low, and used his massive legs to deliver deadly blows. And boy, was he fassst. 2, you can also throw a hook while moving 3, lol only at right time

  • @5ubjugator
    @5ubjugator 14 лет назад

    @THACREAMOFSUMYUNGGUY Btw Pacquiao is apparently trained in muay thai, and has been known to throw a few head kicks to bags in training.
    He used muay thai as conditioning for the dela hoya fight.
    But that's beside the point. Even with just his boxing skills, i think he would beat bruce lee down.

    @THACREAMOFSUMYUNGGUY You are absolutely right about that. In fact, the more two people fight, (and no-one totally dominates the other) i would say, the more equal the chances get of who wins; each becomes used to the others' way of fighting, their openings, weaknesses..
    When I say who would win im speaking of probability. To me, it is more probable that Pacquiao would beat Lee, both in their primes. Pacman is so damn fast and powerful its not funny... this is undeniable. Lee's credentials are.

  • @5ubjugator
    @5ubjugator 14 лет назад

    @THACREAMOFSUMYUNGGUY Pacquaio would obliterate him in a fist fight, and gsp would murder him in both stand up and his ground game. Not only are they both freakishly strong for their weights/frames, but theyre both also EXTREMELY quick, and accurate. More importantly, they would be faster than bruce, because they would have to think less about what theyre opponent is doing. Meaning more speed.
    Practise makes perfect, and sparring is the closest you can get to perfecting your fighting ability.

  • @5ubjugator
    @5ubjugator 14 лет назад +1

    @THACREAMOFSUMYUNGGUY Realistically, Ive seen enough fights to know what Lee would have been capable of. His kicks were really not as powerful as they are made to look, but they were definitely fast. His snapping punches would be able to stun an untrained fighter, but i guarantee that if he ever had to fight with a heavier opponent, they would be thrown out of his arsenal.
    Most importantly is confidence. Lee would not have the mindset to defeat any of the three i have mentioned. He was unproven.

  • @5ubjugator
    @5ubjugator 14 лет назад

    @TOWinkworthIpswich LOL strategy is decided DURING a fight. It can be split second, but if you have enough experience. thats the keyword: EXPERIENCE, you will be able to make quick judgements as to the (possible) weaknesses or strengths of your opponent. Im not a fantastic fighter, its not like Ive won anything that wasn't point-based to prove it. I dont pretend to be. But here I am debating with a 19 year old whos probably just got his first chin-up bar and is getting all excited. LOL

  • @5ubjugator
    @5ubjugator 14 лет назад

  • @5ubjugator
    @5ubjugator 14 лет назад

    @TOWinkworthIpswich I like your post about trickery in a fight. You have obviously listened to some of Lee's teachings. He was right, but do you think that other fighters did not know that? You think that's something new to Lee? LOL you yourself quote Ali. He was of the same era. Joe Louis' first loss came because he fell for his opponents illusions. This is all very simple stuff. You are floating on the surface of a very complex game. Pacman uses trickery just like any competent pro fighter.

  • @5ubjugator
    @5ubjugator 14 лет назад

    @TOWinkworthIpswich Bruce Lee would be overwhelmed by the quantity of punches coming at him, with devastating power. If necessary, feints, he uses alot of feints. I dont think Lee woiuld be able to execute any kicks, because of the danger in losing balance. In all honesty, im talking about a contest of striking. Im sure anyone with decent grappling ability could defeat Pacman on the ground.
    But striking? Pacman would beat Lee all year round, he is a phenomenon. He is proven, he's not just a tale

    @TOWinkworthIpswich Great teachers always tell their students that the subject is easy because it instills confidence within them.
    But Im offering the other side of the coin. If you dont want to fail realise that there is always more to learn. I commend you for trying to learn though, but not on your initial pride that you showed.

    @TOWinkworthIpswich None of bruce lees punches were meant for knocking out. And for sanity's sake what on gods earth are you talking about????
    A combo is pointless because one punch is all it takes to knock someone out??? LOOL what if you dont land that punch?? What if the opponent blocks, what if he dodges, what if you only clip him. Comboing helps you keep on the offensive, and usually keeps the opponent on the defensive, depending on how astute they are.
    You really need to learn these things

  • @5ubjugator
    @5ubjugator 14 лет назад

    @THACREAMOFSUMYUNGGUY LOL you're making some reeeeally useful comments aren't ya? Give me a break. Who's gonna have more confidence, in a fight? A man who has beaten the best of his weight, some of the best fighters on the planet, or a guy who has beaten a bunch of nobodies?
    Forget that, how many ufc fighters of the same weight class do you think would want to stand toe to toe with Pacman? NOT ONE. Forget Pacman, if even one persons stands with James Toney, I will eat my words.... btw, UFC > Lee

  • @5ubjugator
    @5ubjugator 14 лет назад

    In a test of punching skill Bruce would get HOSPITALISED, by Pacquiao, let alone Mike Tyson!!!
    If he was able to use his full arsenal, granted, bruce lee would be very dangerous to any unprofessional fighter, but i am 100% sure he would have got his butt kicked by ANY high-ranking mixed martial artist in the world today.
    Georges St Pierre would absolutely DESTROY Bruce Lee in his prime. This is because he is at the peak of fighting ability, mental stength and confidence in ability.

    @TOWinkworthIpswich damn, you are so naiive!!! OBVIOUSLY movement is key to defense, but there are so many factors to a good defense that you obviously have not had the pleasure of using. A lb for lb great like Pacman DOES move when he throws combos, again, here we have you postulating about things you have no knowledge on. Pacman is WELL-KNOWN to move while he attacks, from very unorthodox angles, and like ANY fighter, uses his punching arm/shoulder to cover his jaw for extra safety...

    Need I have to remind you that Lee admittedly got beaten up when he was 13 years old? I am 100% sure he got beaten again, but obviously the Lee legacy wouldn't want anyone to think he was anything less than perfect.

But still, saying that Bruce can beat the Pacman is clear delusion, especially if we're talking about a fist fight. Are you serious??? Pacmans punches are faster and MUCH more powerful than Lee's snapping JKD punch, much more accurate and with a strategy behind it. Lee would only win if he kicked him, but unlikely

    @THACREAMOFSUMYUNGGUY ok, maybe thats true, but he wasn't even close to mastering it. Bruce was an actor, not a professional fighter. If you think hitting a punch bag, and a wooden wing tsun dummy in your spare time when you're not setting up ur dojo, writing ur book, or directing/acting in a movie... makes a person ready to fight someone who sparrs every day with top opposition then your are deluded.
    You didn't say that, but if you think it, you are deluded.

  • @5ubjugator

    @THACREAMOFSUMYUNGGUY Of course his ground "sucked ass", and his stand up was excellent in terms of execution of strikes (although not perfect, even Lee was still learning), but was not on the level of mma fighters today. And mma fighters today aren't anywhere near the level of Pacman when it comes to punching. You want proof? I can provide

    @THACREAMOFSUMYUNGGUY Im not ashamed of being a Pac fan, he is one of the best at what he does. He is a very, very special athlete. But even he, isn't unbeatable. I guarantee that if the Pacman, PBF fight goes ahead, Pacman will LOSE. Mayweather is just too good at boxing in the ring, he is an ultimate athlete, and just way to good at making the rules of boxing and its limitations work for him.
    However, take the gloves off? I have Pac winning everytime. He is a real fighter, turned pugilist.

    @TOWinkworthIpswich How about you stop reading books about the art of fighting, and actually learn the science of fighting yourself. Go out there and spar, then you can truly say how illusions factor in a bout.
    Your reference points show a very simplistic understanding, and a lack of detail. I sincerely urge you to spar, before claiming you know something you dont.
    You may actually fool yourself one day, and get yourself in a fight you may not be able to finish.

    @TOWinkworthIpswich Luck has a place in EVERY fight, no matter how much you 'reassure' me. LOL. Have you ever even had a fight?? I dont think anything less of a person who chooses a peaceful, pacifist existence, but someone who claims to know the arts, but would probable get tapped out by a hamster really ticks me off.
    Why do you keep spewing nonsense? Go and learn something you have a passion for. Take the hands-on approach, drop the keyboard and go and spar, itll be the best thing you did.
