Most Badass Steeds/Animals, I'm sure there's some tales of Animals doing some extraordinary things that made them famous. like Wojtek the polish Bear in WWII. Worst most Idiotic Generals/Knights, Had the most embarrassing losses that cost them dearly.
I agree. I hate that some of my favorite RUclipsrs are using AI imagery -- which uses plagiarized art from real people -- in their videos, but make sure to ask people to support their own "original" work through Patreon or RUclips membership.
As someone who had my ass kicked by a black knight in Dark Souls - and also had my ass kicked by a black knight in Dark Souls 3 I approve of this video.
I love how this channel does more than JUST English history. So many history channels only focus on England and only branches out when it's about other countries if England was involved
Hoping to hear the story of Friedrich Schilling of Lahnstein and his last stand at Lahneck Castle in one of these days. I’ve only had limited information on the event.
Great video! Although please don't pronounce the French name "Jean" as the female name Jean in English lol. Either say it the French way (J'an) or just say John
This is better titled "Western most Feared Knights". Even in Europe there many more knights, like Tzar Dusan the mighty, 2m high mountain of a man who created Serbian empire and personaly fought in many battlefields.
I never cease to be amazed at the incredible energy of men like these. Alexander, Caesar, the Christ, Mohammed, Michaelangelo, Nelson, Washington, etc. Food must have been way more beneficial then than now. Thanks for the information.
Do not romanticize the past. Food was worse. They didn't understand nutrition, sanitation, or medicine like we do today. Some of the men you idolize were made famous for their ability and proficiency in killing other humans. It is important that we remember these stories but it isn't morally bankrupt and completely ridiculous to wish our times were like these.
If you're going to do these types of videos, please learn how to pronounce names and places correctly. For example, Jean (John, in English) is not pronounced 'jeen'. Otherwise, good job overall.

@@EvocletianIt was the son of Henry I, Edward the Aetheling. Brother of the Empress Mathilda. His death caused the Anarchy, or Civil War between the Empress and Stephen.
@@Evocletian Either what sirpercarde709 said, or you could be thinking of Arthur (grandson of king Henry II), whose life ended in suspicious circumstances during a boating trip with his uncle, king John. I suppose that could be called a boating related mishap as it happened in a lake. Now I'm not saying King John killed him... except I am saying exactly that and he definitely did kill him and he should be in jail!

But have you seen the size of its teeth?

I’ve heard of the black knight a few times. I never thought he was real.
Best Medieval content on the internet, keep up the good work bro
William Marshal, 1st Earl of Pembroke would be another great knight to check out!
I thought for sure he would be named here.
He’s my Daddy’s Uncle and Daddy said Uncle Willy got bad ptsd and don’t talk much anymore and drinks to much at Christmas time
@@thekoneill8 The Marshall drinks when he likes. He's the middle ages equivalent of Chuck Norris. Nobody tells him what to do.
He is or was the greatest knight that has ever lived
hes in the first video@@shellstars
Another fabulous video! Thanks especially for using contemporary art and real paintings rather than banal, boring AI. Love your channel.
contemporary - at 01:02 you can see a 19th century battle with rifles lol

Black knights may as well have been the 1st actual “mini” bosses in 1. My god that’s where I got stuck when first learning to play that’s for sure 😂❤
Whaat about William Marshall, the Greatest Knight. Completely missed him.
Not to mention Sir Michael Knight
I think Mercadier, the most trusted captain of Richard The Lion, was the scariest.
Edward of Woodstock was my favourite knight as a kid, ever since visiting his sarcophagus in Canterbury Cathedral.
I very much enjoyed your video. Looking forward to perusing other videos of yours. 💪🏻🙏🏻✨
Id like to hear first hand accounts of the way things were done in medieval times.
Netflix when they heard "the black prince" *heavy breathing
😂
I strongly recommend Schwerpunkt's Medieval knighthood series for anyone interested

So glad you put Edward, the Black Prince in. He was/is my 18th great uncle.
are you descendant from John of Gaunt, his brother?

William marshal was the best and most feared
I’m shocked he mentions Knights outside of plague island
6:50 Jean II Le Maingre, or Meingre, meaning "skinny," also called Boucicaut, "brave."
Any video of the greatest knights that does not mention William Marshal is instantly disqualified
