Very Nice, I have an Ender 3 as well and am almost done printing the dome. What an age we leave in haha. As an avid star wars fan from a child never in my wildest dreams did I think I could have my own R2. Great work and hopefully mine comes out as good as yours!
Nice work. Did you encounter any warping while printing? I'm currently working on mine (R5), and rather than waste plastic I've decided to deal with the warpage.
Hi Pierre, i house my printers in an old server cabinet lined with insulation as the room is cold which I keep them in. By doing this I did have minor warping on some parts which was an easy repair however most came out ok.
It was 12 months to build and 6 months on the electronics, sanding was a major part I am not going to lie. However the end result was just what I wanted even though he still has flaws
Hi it’s about 30kg, I don’t know the weight of an aluminium I suppose it depends on what batteries you use or how much is installed. I can easily remove the legs for transporting him around

If I can prove to you that I’m a patron of Michael Baddeley, would you be able to shoot me your sliced STL files for the body if you still have them? I’m having issues getting the slices right, it would help me a lot! I wish I had a bigger printer lol.
@@norwichdroids ah no worries. Slicing the body and legs properly without going through details. Essentially everything below the dome that’s way too large for my printer.
I'm waiting for the day the homes having astromech droids will be as normal as having water in your house

Hello! In the Main Archive of Mr, Baddeley’s folder, where can I find the specific sliced files for the Ender 3? or do I have to slice them myself?
Look for the V2 it’s the cut version for smaller beds
