I live in the twin cities and there are plenty of oppopportunities for people to succeed. This is a womens State, so the City helps mothers with children often.
@@bojan80 tbh there are those days but in general it’s not as bad as everyone thinks. You just stay inside with the heater on like people in Arizona would have their AC on in the summer. MN summers are mild with great weather.

I know this is an old comment but I grew up in Miami and lived in St. Paul and now Minneapolis. While I dont care for passive aggressive behaviour, St. Paul is not that bad with the passive aggressiveness. People are more real down there. Ppl in the suburbs are much more "fake" and passive aggressive. I love St. Paul
I don't think you need to worry about "worst places for black people to live" A lot of thugs and local gang bangers/losers move to Minnesota for free hand outs and easy women. In your case, you're educated, open minded and articulate. You do not fit into the same group of low class people that have a hard time there.

Looks like @Jeffrey Winters has offered some great information already. How easily you get a job will depend on what industry you’re in. I don’t like to move places without a job, personally. I would suggest using LinkedIn. Try contacting recruiters to find open positions. Also, I just saw a job fair for people of color advertised here. It’s happening on April 30. I m ow it’s short notice and I’m not aware of your financial situation but you could fly up and attend that. I’m sure you’ll find some great opportunities that will pan out !
I am from SC,so right by you and have been here 9 years,so this is why it would be on the list of least desirable places for black people(i'm guessing over the past few months you figured this out aldy lol).Yes,the Somalia aspect and the FORMER welfare program being top in the US,where over a period of time massive amount of poor people from Chicago moved to the Twin cities, Mankato,Rochester etc. So that made huge disparity of white income to black income. Minnesota but especially the Twin Cities is massively liberal,one of top few in areas in US for that and tries extra hard to welcome in everyone. Alot of people would say to a fault with the Somalia issue but that isn't politically correct to say lmao. Alot of black people not in these 2 categories(and even some in it) are kicking ass financially. Though Somalia and Chicago transplants are a big % of the black population in Minnesota. Anyway welcome to Minnesota.

I’m pretty sure the entertainment isn’t amped up to 1000 there like it is here but is it still things to do that similar to the A. I don’t want to get homesick to much because of lack of activities.
Hey Rick, it’s going well. Working another apartment upload at the moment. It’s just been super busy. But Minneapolis is great. It’s the best time weather wise to be here. It’s going well so far. I really like all the things available to do here. I like living in a metropolitan area. It is hard as a transplant. I will take some ownership and say that I often go to work and come home. I would say that you will definitely need make an effort and do things FREQUENTLY to build those connections.

Minneapolis will drain you of humanity. The Cities is a horrible place to hike and bike. They have many trails, but the climate is life threatening in the winter, and hot as hades in the summer, with bugs thick as smoke.

Vegan Life Love oh ok. I went to high school in the burbs of the Atlanta Metro Area and never lived in the city per se. I love Atlanta. I love to visit. I just didn’t want to live there full time. I was looking for something different, a change of pace. I like Minneapolis so far.
The burbs of Atlanta and the city there's no huge difference. I'm moving back to Minneapolis in June. The people in Minneapolis are better and there more stuff to do, but the con is the weather is bad in Minneapolis the cold.
It’s going okay. The weather is nicer so I’m able to explore the different parks in the area and I’m hoping to hike soon. There’s way more to do now that it’s summer. Thanks for watching !

Okay well I’ve done mechanics and carpentry as well and agreculture but as well I’m thinking of going to school there for mechanics and architecture for blueprints
The racial disparity stats are to me, the only real bad mark on what is otherwise a great place to live. However, hopefully we will see real change in police reform and a lot of issues addressed. Another great thing about the cities is that in most neighbourhoods, even the ones plagued by crime and drugs, theres no shortage of locals who invest into making their comminunity better. Community clean ups, food drives, festivals, free books, youth groups etc.
I would love to move to Minneapolis in another 8 years and get the hell outta of New York and live a, better Life and just start my live over and I'm use to rideing transportation and the weather I'm already use to in New York like the snow storms flash floods but hurricains and tornadoes Not really and just really live the way I want to in another state ya know I think Minneapolis is better then New York I think cause it's too much stuff goin on in New york to much dangerious and illgal stuff I just need to get out and stay out ya know what I mean and plus it's in Princes hometown

Yes the taxes are very high. However I will say that, in my experience, the public transportation in Texas is abysmal due to the layout of the state. You MUST have a car. But yes someone close to me chose to live there after retirement due to no income tax (I believe). So every thing has trade offs. Planning on making a video on different states and what I’ve seen. Crime is one of many problems in Minneapolis. It is miserable.
You will find it safer than almost city in the US. Minnesota is crime free in most of the state.

You get what you pay for. I have lived in Minnesota and Texas. Minnesota is much more civilized.
