I was curious to see what my national airline looks like long haul nowadays. It's just Alitalia under a new name :). If there was one thing I particularly loved about Alitalia, it was the food. And I see ITA is continuing the tradition.

i sincerely hope not. The service in biz class on our Alitalia long haul flight was some of the worst i've ever experienced in 30 years of flying.

No Alitialia had no good food. Airlines with excelent food are Air France and Emirates

The movements of the camera are too abrupt and constant especially at boarding, which gives headaches to the viewer. But other than that, thanks for sharing, and I love that you kept the original noise of the engines and speed of the video for the take-off. That's the mark of a great avgeek!

Yes I have subscribed already! I've always had great memories on AZ and I hope to fly ITA some time soon! The food seems delicious, I love the regional touch, Italy cuisine deserves to be known better. Just watched the FCO lounge video, too, I like the "no-nonsense" no blabla approach of your channel. You mentioned that the seats are lie-flat, but are they comfortable? They look narrow and Spartan. How do they compare to, for instance, Air France or Lufthansa?

I almost lol'd in the office watching you describe how basically half the functionality of the IFE was basically blocked or unavailable.
I can almost hear my pregnant wife complaining now:

I took the flight from Rome to Boston in April in business. The results were exactly the same: grumpy ground staff, lumpy uncomfortable seats (the worst I have ever experienced in business) with malfunctioning entertainment, zero to limited wifi that topped out at a few emails, great food, great staff, and very mediocre wine. Unfortunately the dedicated staff can't overcome the dated and worn out equipment. The ONLY thing going for this was that it was a direct flight. WOULD NOT RECOMMEND unless no other options available.

Americans don't say "YOO-suh" for USA: they say "YOO-ES-AY". So, I was surprised when the FA said, "Welcome aboard EE-tah Airlines!" I thought it was "EYE-TEE-AY".
Si ma è una cosa diversa, gli USA sono uno stato quindi una traduzione c'è che è STATI UNITI D'AMERICA o USA, ITA AIRWAYS ha anche una traduzione ma è come dire ITALIAN senza LIAN, quindi è come se si dicesse "aereo italiano" senza contare il fatto che sia un acronimo

I flew Alitalia 3 years ago from JFK to FCO. One of the worst biz flights EVER. The flight attendants were horrible, frowned, didn't want to serve us, and the food, which i had heard was so good, was not good at all. My pasta was so salty i couldn't eat it. Someone dumped a whole jar of capers in it. And i LOVE salty food. Yuck yuck yuck. The Magnifica seats slept well. That's the only positive notes i had from that flight.
I had heard that ITA FAs were much friendlier and engaging than AlItalia's. I hope this is true.
Did they come around after dinner service occasionally to see if anyone wanted a drink refill?

I like the new paint jobs on the aircraft. Much better than Alitalia's.
I just saw a regional ITA biz class video from Milan to LHR and that is of course a 2hr20min flight, and so of course they had a full lunch. I think yours and that one are the only two regional ITA biz class flight videos up on youtube right now.

Menu/food looked good & I'm sure some lovely Italian wines. However who is their branding company? The exterior blue just looks awful and the interior isn't much better. Considering the Italians have some top top iconic brands with style and flair this airline should be best in Europe.

I flew ITA two weeks ago economy it was a emergency flight . I must say the staff was very friendly . I am Sicilian but I must say the food was beyond disgusting could not eat it at all. The seats are so uncomfortable and very small seating space area felt trapped . The plane was not clean at all. The touch screen was not working properly and the selection of movies was horrible especially for a long flight almost 13 hours from Miami. I am very disappointed for the least part. The only way I would consider flying ITA again is only first class or Business Economy and make sure I eat before my flight and bring snacks as well. During the flight they pass water or drinks and a little snack a pizza & a little sandwich it was so so bad. The only thing that was delicious was the dessert . I would even consider another airline as well. I feel like Alitalia was so much better in regards to the food only the staff was not friendly at all. I felt like ITA the staff was friendly hit or miss kind of situation.

I just took this same plane and route in early September 2022 and ITA airways was absolutely awful to say the least. Everything from the interior of the plane to the service was TERRIBLE. I do not recommend flying them and I have a complaint in to Delta airlines for not informing us that they transferred our return flight to ITA as we would have made other flight accommodations. The flight attendants do not come around the plane during the almost 9 hour flight. If you want something to drink they will not answer the call bell and if your lucky to find a flight attendant they will tell you to go to the back of the plane and serve yourself....They set up a plastic bin and fill it with bottles of soda and water, so every passengers 10 year old child is touching the bottles. Just absolutely awful. Also, the food is DISGUSTING on ITA airways so make sure to pack snacks and something from the airport before you board.
