What a misleading video title! Except for the "final thoughts" section, this was much more "what I did on vacation", rather than hard information to assist one in determining if renting a canal boat is for them. And the videography and editing (and yes, the blurred faces) made it hard to watch even as a travelogue.

My wife and I love Bald Head. We’re going in a couple of weeks for our 25th anniversary. Southport is also a wonderful place. We love eating at Fishy Fish.

I'm surprised there wasn't a fatality on this cruise. And, the camera work, editing, and sub-titles make this one unwatchable hot-mess.

What a horrible way to enter a lock. Don’t bounce it in. Aim for the middle and at the begin of the lock don’t move that engine lever. A constant but slow speed gives you rudder control. Don’t step ashore if the boat moves. It’s not a good practice to jump of boats. Stop and step off. If you can’t don’t challenge your self.

Weird ‘disappointments’

South African Airways was NOT out of service because of Covid, they were bancrupt for the 3rd time...they still are. Instead of building homes for the poor, fixing roads with gigantic holes in them or fighting crime, a mummified airline is kept alive all because of pride...or perhaps reasons we can only imagine seeing that this ís South Africa...

The first time I flew a B737-800 was in 2003 from JNB -CPT . It is good to see that this legacy airline is making a return of sorts with the inaugural flight from JNB -Perth last week on the A340- 300. SAA is a microcosm of managerial dysfunction , nepotism and corruption which pervades S. Africa today . It started with Mbeke and blossomed like a Protea under the despotic regime of Zuma . Let's hope better times are to come for this beautiful country . How bad it can really get is only to look north at the remains of Zimbabwe . Real Cumulus Nimbus there .

Still not as good as the deal we got when booked for 2025 on board Oct 2023.. booked vista got upgraded to classic balcony plus 1000 dollars obc .. ( that was there deal at the time ).. also our Oct cruise this year ( booked 2022 on board) is so much cheaper then best deal to book now ... Been sailing with silversea since 2005.. & wouldn't change it ..but from past experience it's always best to book as soon as the prices are released.. enjoy watching your videos..

Did you buy a return trip Kriens to Pilatus Kulm (by using the gondolas to go from Kriens to Pilatus Kulm and from Pilatus Kulm back to Kriens)? 2. Can we buy tickets with cash directly from the Kriens ticket office (no prebooking needed)? 3. Can you spend time on different stations before reaching Pilatus Kulm and also during the descent back to Kriens? 4. How much would the trip last? There is no meal offered from any sfo to clt AA flight. 5 1/2 hours!

It’s a tired plane and an interesting layout, but I still prefer the Boeing over the Airbus. I always get a better sleep on this one, which is important as it usually land from MCO or MBJ early am. TPA uses the neo and it just seems a little tighter and I ain’t that fussed about looking out a window. Food always good and VA crew are always outstanding. Trying Emirates business to Thailand later in the year so hoping that will be at least on par. 380 first hop will be good but the 2nd hop is on a 777 and i heard that’s a bit pants:) Nice vid
