Thanks for the review. Interesting comparing Delta's Flight Attendants (FAs) to Emirates. As you may or may not know, once the Delta FAs reach seniority, the chances of them losing their job is close to zero. In comparison to Emirates' FAs, they are on an employment contract which is directly tied to their visa. If there are any issues with their employer, they are released and would need to leave UAE as soon as possible since their visa is no longer valid. That is some motivation.
@Raymond that's why I do not despise economic crises. When shyt hits the fan, the commonfolk hang on to their jobs with all the gratitude in the world. Forget benefits, forget welfare, when the commonfolk see unemployment numbers skyrocketing, they become thankful they even have a job. It's a fked up world. And you know what's worse about unions? Those minority few who dont believe in ganging up to squeeze their employers are either not allowed to opt out of unions, or if they are allowed to opt-out, they get demonised by all the other workers. Fked up, isnt it.
The difference between North American flight attendant and Emirates is Union…. Withe jurâtes there is only 3 size of uniforms, if you don’t fit in the biggest one you are given 3 months to fit in, if you don’t succeed …. Bye bye. With North American flight attendant …. That’s another story, I personally fly a lot for business and most of my flight are not on North American companies…. Size do matter ….and if you don’t care about the way you look, imagine how you do care in downing your job properly with pride !!!
I have listened to so many travel reviews over the years but have to say this is my fav so far. Everything was clear and said with a great sense of humour....and yeah..it IS GOOD to finally get to take off that bra!! :-) haha - in all the years of travelling and listening to reviews you are the only flight reviewers that I have subscribed to!
Good stuff, and definitely worth paying attention to the plane layout. One thing to consider about "lemonade" is that it means different things in different countries. In Australia, it is a carbonated soda very much like Sprite or 7Up.
My goodness, I enjoyed the format you used to tell this story. It was very different from the vlog-styled reviews. It was poised, structured and sincere. Beautiful. Subscribed immediately
Nice trip! I've done a lot of flying on Emirates and, by far, the A380 is the plane to book. With Covid, lots of Triple Sevens were substituted and I rarely have complaints about that aircraft -- but if flying Emirates business, it's a big downgrade in experiences. I've only had to "tough-out" two business class segments that way: one aboard a Triple seven from Dubai to Colombo (Sri Lanka) and the other from Cochin (India) back to DXB on an old A330 before they were retired. I had a window seat to Colombo (in the dead middle of the night with a 2:30 am departure), so bothering another guy to get up was inconvenient for us both. Emirates consistently flies A380s to New York now, but it did revert to 777s during the Covid crunch. (My first round-trip to Dubai aboard Emirates was a Triple-Seven BOTH ways, so be glad.) Even their Milan "Fifth Freedom" stop flight is back aboard the Big Boy, so everybody's happy. If you get a newer 380 model, the banquette seating in the lounge is more spacious and less weird than the crescent-shaped benches, but I quibble. EK is a remarkable product. The business lounge in the A380 terminal in Dubai is E-NORMOUS and kind-of disorienting, but you're usually bombed out with jet lag and it does fine. The spas are indeed revitalizing if one has a layover as long as yours. Enjoy treating your girls to premium seating, and what a pleasure it must be to show them around the world in such style! Enjoy your 22 in '22!
I loved this review not just because of your honesty but also because I love that you travel with your kids and you give them the best. I watched this because I'm thinking of buying business class seats on Emirates from JFK to Athens with my teens this summer. Only thing is they only have the 777 which is a bummer but the 380 coming back from Athens with a stopover in Dubai. I guess you didn't totally lose because you were able to experience both at one time and review it. Glad I watched. Great review!
Love your videos. I watched the one to Fiji on Fiji BC and now I'm looking to go that route for my trip to Australia. I sell luxury travel and I really try to express to clients that the flight can set the tone for the entire trip. Continued safe travels.
Very detailed and honest review. I never experienced Business Class but hoping. Will keep playing lotto ;) All the best for you guys and travel a lot! Greetings from Poland.
Love flying Emirates but I was duped by a low cost upgrade to Business Class from Melbourne to Dubai. When I got on, I was less than impressed by the 777 Business Class...the only thing luxurious was the way the seat reclined. Also, not all the meals were served.
@@blaze1q619 I paid for the upgrade. It was not free. I paid a few hundred pounds sterling...had a right to complain if something I paid for with my hard earned cash was below par.

@@angeliquec.4888 It went great. My husband and I did round trip from Newark to Athens. We paid between $5000-$6000 per seat in business class and it was SO worth it. Great food options, great service. Whether it is the 777 or the 380, it is worth it in my opinion!!! Even comparing the two is annoying, like you get to lay down and sleep, they give you a literal mattress pad when you want to sleep. Ulimited drinks. Comfort. Leg room. I would pay the $5000 again in a heartbeat.

Great review. I just flew from SFO to Dubai on a 777 business class. 12-8-21 to 12-19-21. I didn’t think I have an option for the A380. One thing, I didn’t like was I had a window seat and there was some one seated in the aisle and when he was sleeping, I had a hard time climbing over him to use the restroom… kinda sucked. I just flown JAL busines last week from SFO to BKK and their 777 had their own pathway so you are not bothering any other passengers.
Thank you. I have been wondering about the window seats on the 777-300 as I am a short solo traveller and all the reviews I’ve seen haven’t clearly shown how easy it is to get to the aisle from the window seat. Thankfully only one 7-8 hr sector with 777. All others are A380.
You are so lucky! You get to fly and have amazing trips so much, my family had to fly to Jamaica in economy. That was 10 hours of torture. I have only flyed twice, you guys are so lucky! Keep up the great videos.
Another great and informative video. Plus, I love your kids, they are hysterical. And I thoroughly enjoy your style & humor, being a Brooklynite myself. LOL
Great video. One thing to note is that your airline might change the type of aircraft after you book (before the scheduled flight). Therefore, it would be best to find the most optimal seating that would work regardless of aircraft.
@@TopFlightFamily - Me too. When I was in Iceland, I threw caution to the wind and took off my layers except a t-shirt since I was getting sweaty hiking a long hill because I figured I won’t see anyone on the hike ever again… only to find the next day people I met on the hike ended up on the same boat tour the next day (total coincidence)! Ha ha!
Great report . I often travel Cape Town - London via Dubai . Huge difference in Business Class from Africa flights , middle seats in business class - ugh.
I loooove being hot on a flight which rarely ever happens. I'd rather remove layers rather than pile on layers and still shiver with multiple blankets lol. Great informative video as usual guys 👌🏽
seatguru is good for checking on configurations. They are also responsive to people alerting them to changes in seating. Years ago I had seat 30A on an Air France 777-300 ER which with 30B was a pair of economy seats immediately forward of a toilet area. Anyway, on the Air France seatguru page that layout was not listed, so I put in a comment or feedback & they fixed it within days!
The real biggest mistake is choosing Emirates B777 business class when there is an option to fly the A380 Business class, for example, choosing ek145 instead of EK147 which both go to Amsterdam
Y’all always give so much important information about traveling and I really appreciate it. This one was good information to know before traveling. Thanks so much and thanks for sharing.
I just subscribed to you. I am booked for BUSINESS CLASS on Emirates A380 this spring break from JFK to Dubai to MALDIVES. All business class, roundtrip. I am super excited and will vlog my trip. I will definitely chose a seat closest to the window so I'm not exposed to the aisle as much. I have flown on Emirates before on the A380 from JFK to Dubai to Seychelles (roundtrip). I've also flown on the A380 from JFK to Dubai to Thailand. It's important for newcomers to understand that Emirate's A380 and A350 are their best planes and those give you the highest quality service. A380 gives you the absolute best economy, business and first regardless which carrier you use. The Boeing flights are a toss up.
As always a great video! Thanks for all of the valuable info and yes you are fuuuny with "Warm Nuts"/Beavis & Butt Head joke😌😆 Keep em coming and look forward to your family's 22 in 22 series!!! Cheers!

I have to agree with you on the Blacklane service - the driver going to JFK opened the trunk and then just went into the car, he never even offered to help with the luggage and on arrival at JFK just opened my door and popped the trunk. He never even helped to get a porter or help with the bags.
Ugh yeah that’s just not cool. I think Emirates should find a better partner for these chauffeur drives. Because that’s the part that literally begins your whole Emirates business class experience and yet it’s by far the weakest piece.
I get this from my dignitary fam's staff. They act like snubbing is part of their job. Thought about booking separate coach when traveling with fam. Guess I wouldn't check out Blacklane.
I had a pretty good Blacklane experience in New York, but it was admittedly short -- just from the TWA Hotel around the bend and back up to Terminal Four. It was a nice little Lincoln and the driver was nice. Felt pretty guilty about bringing him out for such a short drive, and I tipped him well, but Emirates picked up the limo tab and I was happy about that.
Very nice, well thought out video. You are heads and shoulders above most with this RUclips travel vlogs. I reading something when you said "I said WARM NUTS" and almost fell out my chair. some nice tips thank you, we just did Australia to UK return, using cathay pacific, Singapore airlines business all the way but as you say the shorter flights were smaller planes and the BC seats were tight spaced for me at 6"3' also the Singapore to get a flat bed it was necessary to have seat in upright position then pull a release lever behind the seat to then fold out in three parts to make a bed and it was as hard as hell, having that seat just reclined was the best for comfort but not what I was paying for, we flew Etihad once before and the chauffeur in London said he could have taken us 125klms from the airport wish we had known that gem before booking somewhere in London doh. anyway thanks and I'll be sure to plan better next time.
Emirates was only running Triple-Sevens to JFK during the Covid Catastrophe. However, my first EK flight in 2010 consisted of only Triple-Sevens on the New York and Houston routes.

Enjoyed very much this video - your family is lovely and so lucky to have such great travels together! Completely agree with regards to your point about aircraft type. EK 777 is one of the worst Business class experiences anywhere, and I’ve done it a few times (once even paying a huge additional amount at the airport just to move to First as I couldn’t consider the long flight from Bali to Dubai in the back row of a 777 business cabin. A380 is a totally different story, although my first business on the A380 had me in the “window” seat that was staggered close to the aisle and actually didn’t have a window (one of the rows with a missing window). So even row number, you have to be careful about. Since you went into considerable detail about picking seats, this could be something you add. Thanks again for a great channel that I’m probably going to spend way to much time on!

@Top Flight Family… your daughter asked for “Lemonade” and in a way the flight attendant wasn’t wrong. Lemonade in Europe is 7-Up/Sprite. It is now what we call “Lemonade” in the states. It is called Cloudy Lemonade or the other term in non-carbonated Old Fashioned Lemonade. So, a suggestion for the girls since they are old enough to do this is that… both girls take a bunch of filter paper and write down all the things they like to eat and drink in the United States 🇺🇸 and then maybe Mom you can type this into a computer and make a basic list. Now, take this basic list and copy it several times and at the top of each page write the country your going to visit (London, UK 🇬🇧 or China 🇨🇳 or Hong Kong 🇭🇰 or even Italy 🇮🇹 and Paris, France 🇫🇷 are suggestions). Then print out each country for them to complete and look up what each thing is called and the correct spelling of what it is called. Like Eggplant 🍆 in the USA 🇺🇸 is called “Aubergine” in the most of Europe (London, UK 🇬🇧 or Dublin, Ireland or even Paris, France 🇫🇷) but something totally different someplace else. So, if they learn the names other places call them they will get what they want all the time.
I fly often with Emirates and whilst I agree 100% with your comment regarding flight crew, ground staff don't appear to get the same customer service training. Especially in DXB. On the issue of seat arrangements between aircraft its also worth being careful which seats you choose even on the A380's . There are dedicated seating for travellers with infants and I was shocked to find that business class babies make as much noise as economy class babies.
I subscribed today to your channel, I am enjoying my second Video. Thanks for an other excellent review. I look forward to watching all the videos of in your channel. As always , love from Algeria 🇩🇿

Difference between unionized cabin crew members and other top notched airlines like Singapore, Cathy,Emirates, Qatar, Etihad....are obvious

Never ending story is one of my all time favorites as well. I feel like you and I could be quick friends 😆. Love your channel!
Haha you have excellent taste, clearly!
My goodness, I enjoyed the format you used to tell this story. It was very different from the vlog-styled reviews. It was poised, structured and sincere.
Beautiful. Subscribed immediately
The never ending story, I love that film too
Yes! One of my childhood faves!
Neverending Story is my favorite too! 🤗🤦🏾♀️I miss Jim Henson. 🤣 Love Beavis and Butt Head reference too. Thanks for the Emirates airlines tips!🙋🏾♀️❣
Also, not all the meals were served.
u got upgraded be happy
@@blaze1q619 I paid for the upgrade. It was not free. I paid a few hundred pounds sterling...had a right to complain if something I paid for with my hard earned cash was below par.
@@racheldoesstuff1702 i mean its a decent price u got what u paid for usually business class tickets are a couple of 1000 bucks and getting for 100 is decent
@@blaze1q619 you're misunderstanding as I already paid 1000s prior to the addition upgrade payment, so I am not going to bother explaining the full situation in detail.
@@racheldoesstuff1702 just for ur info a business class ticket is atleast 7000$ so if u pay 1100 for it ur geting it for a great deal
I'm flying in the 777 to Greece in June & after paying top dollar I'm going to love every minute of it! No matter if it's the 380 or 777! :)
How did it go? I’m thinking of doing this to Greece also from NYC. Did you do it round trip?
@@angeliquec.4888 It went great. My husband and I did round trip from Newark to Athens. We paid between $5000-$6000 per seat in business class and it was SO worth it. Great food options, great service. Whether it is the 777 or the 380, it is worth it in my opinion!!! Even comparing the two is annoying, like you get to lay down and sleep, they give you a literal mattress pad when you want to sleep. Ulimited drinks. Comfort. Leg room. I would pay the $5000 again in a heartbeat.
@@angeliquec.4888 Also, did not use the chauffeur, we live far away and rather drive ourselves anyway. It has been a while since I watched this video but if you have any questions feel free to reply, I will answer as best as I can!! :)
This is the best family channel!
In the 1970’s the 747 had a lounge upstairs it was amazing. Still my favorite flying experiences
I flew on the a380 on business class
You are so lucky! You get to fly and have amazing trips so much, my family had to fly to Jamaica in economy. That was 10 hours of torture. I have only flyed twice, you guys are so lucky! Keep up the great videos.
A380 me, please! 😊 As I’m dreaming of flying Emirates Business Class sometime, I really appreciate this video! Thanks!
Yessss! We’ve been wanting to fly this for so long now. So happy we were able to make it happen. I’m sure you all will do it soon too! 🙌🏼🙌🏼
Lovely family, and very detailed and easy to follow video. Clean transitions and good audio.
Another great and informative video. Plus, I love your kids, they are hysterical. And I thoroughly enjoy your style & humor, being a Brooklynite myself. LOL
Haha yay to being a fellow Brooklynite! 🙌🏼🙌🏼 The girls always crack me up lol. Never a dull moment.
Great video. One thing to note is that your airline might change the type of aircraft after you book (before the scheduled flight). Therefore, it would be best to find the most optimal seating that would work regardless of aircraft.
"Sweaty Betty" 😆 What a great look at the Emirates experience.
Haha I mean really that's me lol. Always the sweaty one of the family.
Thank you for your honesty.
Of course! Luckily there wasn’t really a lot to complain about 😅😅
I loooove being hot on a flight which rarely ever happens. I'd rather remove layers rather than pile on layers and still shiver with multiple blankets lol.
Great informative video as usual guys 👌🏽
Agree. My feet always freeze.
Never ending story was one of my favorites of my childhood.
seatguru is good for checking on configurations.
Very informative. Thank you for uploading.
Wow amazing video and tips. Thank you for sharing. Its always nice watching ur family videos
Thank you so much! ♥️♥️
The real biggest mistake is choosing Emirates B777 business class when there is an option to fly the A380 Business class, for example, choosing ek145 instead of EK147 which both go to Amsterdam
The Neverending Story! One of my all time favorites!!!!
Y’all always give so much important information about traveling and I really appreciate it. This one was good information to know before traveling. Thanks so much and thanks for sharing.
Glad it was helpful! Yeah it's crazy that you could pay the same price but get such vastly different experiences!
“Warm nuts” 🥜 made me laugh more than it should have 😅
I have experienced Emirates A380 economy back in 2019 going to brazil and its awesome what more business class. Love your content.
The Never Ending Story- my favorite movie of all time
Very informative. Thank you for sharing. Last traveled on the A380 in BC, in 2018. The food was very good even back then.

Oh! Lemonade in other countries are fizzy and not juice sometimes! :) So I see the flight attendant/bartenders mistake there haha.
Yeah 7up IS a type of lemonade
I only know lemonade as fizzy eg spirit, 7up etc. We don't have non fizzy lemonade in the UK.
@@banchnotok no, 7up is Lemon and Lime, Lemonade is just Lemon. when paying high prices like this, tiny pedantic details like this matter. I know lots of people who like Lemonade but not 7up and vice versa. If I'm paying a HUGE amount of money and they can't get a small detail right, It makes me question are they getting the big details right? it's like the real reason why famous people ask for 'only green mnms' in their green rooms, it's to see if they are paying attention to everything. if you can't get a small detail right, I'm not trusting you with a big thing.
@@stevencgr Bro even Fanta is Lemonade
@@banchnotok what are you talking about? Fanta is an orange flavoured drink, no lemons in it. though they do have a lemon version, which is more lemony than 7up.
It’s such a bad first impression.
My husband and I have been subscribed for years we adore your vlogs over others like The ACE Family

Very nice, well thought out video. You are heads and shoulders above most with this RUclips travel vlogs. I reading something when you said "I said WARM NUTS" and almost fell out my chair. Job well done! I plan on flying LAX to DXB to SIN later this year, and will def not make the mistake of booking Boeing 777! Thanks for the heads up 😁
some nice tips thank you, we just did Australia to UK return, using cathay pacific, Singapore airlines business all the way but as you say the shorter flights were smaller planes and the BC seats were tight spaced for me at 6"3' also the Singapore to get a flat bed it was necessary to have seat in upright position then pull a release lever behind the seat to then fold out in three parts to make a bed and it was as hard as hell, having that seat just reclined was the best for comfort but not what I was paying for, we flew Etihad once before and the chauffeur in London said he could have taken us 125klms from the airport wish we had known that gem before booking somewhere in London doh.
anyway thanks and I'll be sure to plan better next time.
Ahhh the ole equipment switcheroo lol.
We had the 380 to DXB and the 777 on the way back. Even in economy the 777 feels tighter.
Emirates was only running Triple-Sevens to JFK during the Covid Catastrophe. However, my first EK flight in 2010 consisted of only Triple-Sevens on the New York and Houston routes.
This is wonderful! You did a great job! Thanks for the terrific info!
The movie you were watching is The NeverEnding Story!! Great film!

I fully agree with the expectation that a driver would help with luggage. This should be (and usually is) a job requirement
Great video I want to fly this airline at some point. You can never go wrong with the Neverending Story movie.
Yes, I could hear and understand the narration. The Blacklane information was very helpful.

I almost made this mistake booking our trip to Dubai I had to go back and look at the aircraft. I can’t wait to compare this airline with Qatar 🇶🇦 because we absolutely love them. Your family is so awesome. Have actually inspired me to start recording our family trips
My family too, we love Qatar so much, I think it’s better than emirates. I will never leave Qatar they have the best business class, what do you like about it?
@@anonymousperson1065 Maybe Q-suite is better than Emirates 777 business class, but it does not even BEGIN to compare with Emirates 777 and A380 first class, and also with Emirates A380 business class. Emirates is by far the better airline overall…
I’m pretty sure Emirates will use the A380 business class on their new A350/B787 coming in 2023, and the 777X will feature a 2-2-2…
@@ignacioquindoslanderas531 That completely true, I flew the emirates first class to Maldives round trip for $20,000, but it was amazing and it was like a whole room. So nobody could see you inside. I am hoping to fly it more and I am excited to seat the new layout in the a350s

The Never Ending Story. Also my favourite movie!

Love this! Will be making sure I book the right aircraft lol
You won me at the “unique female experience in the bathroom” 😆 Subscribed!
Great vlog. Thank you 😊. Subscribed 👊👍💚
