Absolutely shocking, in my opinion Emirates totally let you down with both customer services and there staff, especially the lady in the lounge area, they all need re training or removing from there jobs.
This type of service for the price you paid was disgusting.

:,) Yes, I really hope it was just a one-time experience. I definitely was surprised about the quality of this particular flight.

I have never heard of having to buy business class lounge access ticket before. It should be included in your flight ticket... it was in mine back in 2019 plus chauffeur service to and from the airport

And paying 150 usd for lounge access after paying 5k for business class is hilarious

sadly I have to say - and I have lived in Dubai now for 20 years- that lately all this happens quite frequently on the EK flights. What I really do not appreciate is the "atitude thing" that you mentioned, which nowadays seems to be company policy at Emirates. The planes are full, so apparently they think they can afford that kind of passenger treatment, BUT: once a reputation is damaged, it is nearly impossible to repair.

Sadly this is true, I hope this makes the airline improve their service because I really believe in the quality they can give (I've had multiple good experiences with them)

It's another experience showing that the crew is important and can make THE difference. Sometimes the Emirates crew can be a bit haughty. But I've had great flights with them too. But yes, nowadays where ticket prices are so high, one can indeed expect excellent service. I can't comment on the lounge situation. Some tickets don't include access, and one should always check the conditions beforehand. And another tip: Not all travelers like to be filmed. But thank you for your video. Maybe it will help Emirates improve their service. Because nothing is better than a great business class flight.

The first time I flew on Emirates was in 2015. I flew from John F. Kennedy to Dubai and then to Seychelles.
I have not encountered “rude staff“ but I have noticed that some levels of the service that I expected have declined. For example: the flight attendants used to wear nice little flag pens that either told their country of origin or the language that they spoke. They stopped using the flag pins. I was disappointed about that.
I am a very tall man. I’m about 6 foot tall. I originally flew in of the seats near the emergency exit that had no seat directly in front of it. Back then I didn’t have to pay extra money but the next time I flew with Emirates to Dubai and then to Thailand. They made me pay more money for that seat. Therefore, I stopped flying in their economy, and I started flying in business class.
The flight that I took with them was to Dubai and to Maldives. I had no issues with that at all.
My next trip is going to be on ANA business class “the room”. JFK to Haneda to Indonesia, BALI.
I would have used Emirates, but it wasn’t as efficient a route.

Good luck on your future flights! I've never seen them wear pins at all, but I'd imagine it would be a nice touch and a good conversation starter too

Oh no... my whole family is planning to go to vacation with Emirates very soon, and we want to experience the business class for the first time. I know its not every time, but this kind of make me think twice.

Some elements of this are disingenuous. $5000 sounds like a lot, but for the ticket to not include lounge access it was purchased in a budget 'special' ticket bucket. Some context here would have been helpful and you could have cited to the "regular" ticket price as a reference. No excuses for poor passenger behavior, or poor seat quality. Emirates have different A380 layouts etc and no doubt the older frames get sent to places like Bali.

  • @ssgnatural5502
    @ssgnatural5502 26 дней назад +3

It should be automatically lounge access for business class tickets, I can't understand why you have to buy lounge access

    • @doujinflip
      @doujinflip 26 дней назад +2

The cheapest Special fare disallows the lounge access that's normally included (along with higher change fee and no seat selection until check-in), so access after the fact has to be purchased separately and these have a 4 hour time limit. May or may not be worth it based on how long you're in DXB and how much more are the full access fares (starting at Saver the next one up).

I tried that same seat at the back!! Horrible noise!! Will never repeat, always chose front seats, of not available I would travel economy. And also its completely illegal to vape on the plane, I would have video recorder that and showed it to the police at dubai Airport as soon as landed. Horrible lounge lady, I would have taken her name and write an official complaint to emirates. Hope you have better experience.

I switched to Qatar which I had one incident in Dubai.
I’m a just a silver class, but I have access to Dubai lounge.
The staff, which I still remember her name, actually passed a rude remark in her native language which I understood that even I have access to Business class lounge..

What a well done video with excellent commentary and editing! You are right; even the best companies can have a bad day. But a poor attitude from someone in a hospitality or service role is one of the most aggravating things! ❤ NL. Tot ziens!

It’s honestly quite absurd to own a business class ticket (directly bought and not upgraded into) and do not have a right to enter the business class lounge. At least have a service similar to Lufthansa where they keep business and senator lounges, which are on different levels but still offer you complementary accommodation while holding the ticket

It is disappointing when passengers don’t observe good etiquette like getting drunk etc. it makes flying long haul so unpleasant! Shouldn’t the business lounge be part of Emirates business class service?

I have not booked Emirates before but subscribed to their emails hoping to get. a decent deal by booking direct with them.
I always book Business Class for my long haul flights and was used to paying between 2.5x to 3x the price of economy seat.
In the las t 18 months or so Emirates seem to be charging 4 to 5 times the price of economy for a biz class ticket, so I just choose an alternative airline.
Now I don't know about Emiates but they are probably similar to British Airways and Cathay Pacific in that they laid off most of their staff in the worst of the pandemic era.
Hence they are hiring less experienced staff to make up the numbers and on the whole these Newbie staff have a big lacking in customer service skills compared to their predecessors.
I know it is a tough job and there are probably more grumpy passengers around too now, but it will just get escalate.
Let's hope that these airlines wake up and turn it around bringing a better experience for both passengers & flight crew, let's face it they both need each other

Ahh yes, you're right. I didn't take into account the effect of COVID on the airline's quality and their staff. I really feel sorry for all the layoffs that happened. Hopefully they can rebound from it.

Emerates officers should get an action against that lounge working women.
Clients or customers are the main key to any service.
Why are they that much arrogant ???
    Next time , try Qatar.
