    Very good advice about Ironite... Key to what Lawn Amateur said is: HEALTH of your lawn. I live in South Carolina (Bermuda grass), and I treat for weeds all Winter long then I scalp my lawn in March... During the Spring I use PGF Complete and BIO Char, to promote growth, and also apply an application of Pre-Emergent... Summer (late June to early September) I STOP using Nitrogen based products, so I don't burn out my lawn, and start applying a mixture of IRONITE, Chicken Feed, and BIO Char--- This Summer routine promotes dark green/healthy looking grass while building/maintaining healthy soil composition. When the weather changes in the Fall, I go back to Nitrogen based products to finish out the year, and apply Pre-Emergent once again. Hope this helps some people out there with clay soil, southern heat, and Bermuda grass-- Happy cutting, and God Bless!

    Random question - do you feel like all us Lawn Enthusiasts put down too much product on our turf? Want a healthy lawn and all but if we bombard the soil weekly are we doing more than we need to? Putting down Humic Acid this week 😆

    • @LawnAmateur
      @LawnAmateur  4 года назад +3

      Lol thats a good question I actually thought about that but nah alot of use Milorganite and other soil amendments that improves our soil. I only put down what I need. I rarely use synthetic fertilizers. And yea its time for another application of humic acid 😂👍

    Watering before doesn't make sense. Watering After is sufficient.

    • @LawnAmateur
      @LawnAmateur  Год назад

      It does makes sense you don't apply the product on hard dry soil. So water the lawn before applying and water the lawn after applying
