That is a beautiful lawn. It took me a few years to dial in an annual program for mine. I did my research and wrote down the plan and put it in motion. Took notes on the results. What worked. What didn’t. Adjusted year two. Did same notes etc. By year three I learned a lot about proper lawn care and more importantly my lawn. You have a really great yard. You can be proud. I've used Ironite for years. I've found that Ironite doesn't nix well with some fertilizers. The mix will turn to mud and will not easily spread. The best time at least for me to buy has been at the end of the season when it's on clearance. Year before last I bought almost a whole pallet of Ironite at $2.00 per 15lb bag at Walmart. I had to take the whole pallet to get that price as they needed the room for Christmas merchandise. Besides the great color your lawn is spectacular.

I have 2 dogs and no pee spots. You have to water the spot they pee to dilute it right away so nitrogen in the pee doesn't burn the roots. Follow the dogs around with the water hose.
Outstanding Green! However, in my experience here in Chicago, with our alkaline soils and even more alkaline tap water, I didn't really get minimal results from when I used Ironite. I think it was an immediate darkening of the green but then it didn't last the week. Did further research yesterday and ironite will not react in alkaline soils to turn the grass green-at least not in the granular form. This means that all of us who suffer from a higher than 7.0 pH will have to use a foliar version of Chelated Iron supplement spray which is much more expensive to purchase.
Same I live in northern illnois gurnee area and commented that it didnt work for me saw no green up of my kbg. Lawnstar chelated works great. Or try lcn double dark with bio nite plus 6% iron work really good.

No if you can't water the grass before applying and after applying I wouldn't recommend it. This product needs some water for it to work into the soil.
You need to thin your lawn. Your grass is being pushed over instead of cut. Color is beautiful but wayyy to thick! I’d recommend scalping the grass and using a de thatcher and a scarifier to get it thinned out and then let it grow out and cut it at about 3” just make sure your blades on the mower are sharp. Keep up the good work just giving you some tips to really help your yard pop.
My lawn is fine at this height. I cut at 3.75 this is a pure turf type tall fescue yard it can handle 4 inch cuts and its swayed over because I used a lawn roller on it. Thanks for the tips and support
@@LawnAmateur again not hating on the lawn, you obviously care about it a lot and it shows just trying to help you improve it. Try cutting it at 3” once and see what you think.
Thank you, you could use both but you just have to be careful with applying too much iron to your lawn. But applying once in a while together should be fine

The mail person likes to ride over edge of the lawn when delivering. So I had to do something to stop them. They created a big ditch by continously doing it over the years
