Another factor is case availability. Rokform pretty much only makes cases for Apple and Samsung phones. Granted, those are the two most popular, but if you have anything other than those two, like a Pixel, Quadlok is going to be the better bet.

Magnets on computer does not really interfere with anything now a days. As far as magnet i used to be a mechanic and had multiple uses as far as sticking the phone to some areas and watch a video, or talking on it, or flashlight. In any case everyone has different preferences: )

i use rokform there cases aren't good but they sell $20.00 a stick on with the magent/phone cut out so you can put it on any case you use, i use a s10plus phone with a outterbox case, got them on both of my bikes for over 3yrs solid. i once stripped a screw called customer service for a screw they sent me a whole new mount. and customer service is great when you call the. quad lock is also good, plastic vs aluminum.....bulky vs slim.....click vs locked in and strong magnet. your decision both are good 👍🏿

Something else to consider. For body mounting, if doing a lot of steel metal work or grinding, the magnet in the Rokform is not advisable.

Lol. If something comes at you hard enough to damage your mounted phone what precisely will it hit if the phone is tucked away safely in your tank bag?

Great review man.. in term of case itself, is the quad lock less solid and protection if you drop? Thx ..

I’ve been using my quadlock case for over 2 years I think now. Seems to be holding up just fine. Plus, quadlock case is a little bit more simplistic which I prefer. Just a sleek black case with the finger loop attachment.

That's the reason I went with quad lock. Since I have a big phone I prefer thin cases

I've been using the quad lock all summer with absolutely no issues whatsoever. It's a very solid platform. My only gripe with it is that I just got a new bike and I'm getting one and a half inch handlebar for it. Quadlock does not make amount that fits that size bar. 🤨

I’d just buy a clamp mount with a ball attachment from somewhere like Amazon and get QL’s ball head mount

Just take a U bar variant of a ball mount from Ram & connect it to quadlock & it works just fine. Got it on my dyna with 14inch 1 1/4 t bars. Phone hasnt budged.

I much prefer Ram mount in almost every single way accept for trying to avoid the power and volume buttons on the phone when mounting it. Ram Mount's ball system is vastly superior and more versatile than either of these. Also with RAM mount, the vibration dampening is built in, since your phone is suspended by thick soft rubber at the corners. With the quad Lock your phone is hard attached in the center which leads to excessive vibration and wobble. Another downside is the proprietary cases. That bump in the back causes issues in just about every other mount and magnetic charger you may own and the pocket feel is not great.
So I'll take the one annoyance of avoiding my power button, and use my favorite case with ultimate range of mounting and adjustability.
FYI I would never trust the adhesive backed adapters that you stick on your own case. I've had 3m adhesive fall in plenty of go pro and sena applications, so no thanks.

Those prices seem off. All in, the Quadlock would run me $134 plus tax and shipping, and the Rockford was almost $200. For a budget, I’m going with the Rammount Quick Grip for $60.
The cases these companies offer are ugly and prevent wireless charging, so changing the case out after each ride is bothersome too.
Nice video, but Rockford and Quadlock seem like the same thing just different brand. Coke or Pepsi.

Just remember if you have a newer model phone, you could completely destroy the camera without a vibration dampener.

The Rokform is absolute trash. I'm here to find out if QuadLock is any better. The Rokform's case will chip and eventually failed where it grabs the mount. It is not metal. It is plastic. Everyone I know who has used it has the same problem. Do not buy Rokform.
