This is all total BS. Even in your POV demonstration, you can clearly see that your handlebars are turning to the left when you go left and vie versa. Obviously, you have to lean into your turns. Why not just say that instead of making up this entire "counter steering" crap? I know you didn't create this whole idea... It's just so weird to me that this has become so accepted. It's just a terrible way to explain what's happening, because what you're saying is happening (that the handlebars are turning the opposite way that the bike is turning) literally isn't happening.

People mistakenly assume that you have to push left to turn right and that is because the so called "experts" on other vidoes imply that. The poster @AT-wl9yq below nails it. It is the wheel that counter steers not you. You HAVE to turn the bars left to go left and not the other way round. So, good job on clearly explaining that!

These things you mention in the video may have something to do with this: There are dozens of z900 for sale with only couple of thousand km on the clock and the bikes are like 6-7 years old. Z900 is really exceptional in this way. Most of the other same class bike that old got 40 000 - 80 000 km. The bike is very nice though in my opinion.

I don't see how you're pushing the bike in the opposite direction? Just looks like you're holding the grip, why couldn't you pull with the other side too? I don't see how it's countering at all lol

If you need to counter-steer to tip into corners, either change the fork yokes to get less offset or fit bigger wheels - you need more trail. If your bike understeers as you brake into corners, it will usually tend to understeer and run wide as you accelerate out. With more trail, you get less lean, and can accelerate earlier in corners.

That's not CORRECT counter-steering. Pressure IS NOT APPLIED HORIZONTALLY. IT' S APPLIED AT 30 DEGREES DOWNWARDS. You are lucky you are still ALIVE.

I thought the same thing about magnetic interference with the phone capability. After some research, the phone uses frequency and not on a magnetic field. There is no problem with having magnetic phone cases.

Please don't change lanes without signaling. Not only is it rude but it's also illegal. I don't care if there's nobody else on the road, it's still illegal to change lanes without signaling. It's also a d!ck head thing to do. And yes I always use my turn signal no matter if I'm changing lanes turning whatever doesn't matter I am using my turn signal because I'm not a f&cking idiot. Stop changing lanes without signaling ffs! I swear 95% of other motorists don't even know what a turn signal is it seems. That new three blink feature on cars has made people ret@rded. That is neither a safe nor legal function of a turn signal. If you go read the turn signal law it is very clear. It is hard to get it confused, kind of like the Second Amendment, which is also very clear. That is unless of course you have the comprehension of a rock.

I live in Colorado. I’ve seen lane filtering done twice so far since the new law was enacted. In one the motorcyclist gave up after trying it at one intersection. In the other, the motorcyclist did it illegally, speeding over 15 mph. The data will be interesting. In Colorado, most motorcyclist deaths are due to speeding, driving while impaired, and driving without a helmet. What do we do about those factors?
