So with the help from this video I replaced mine yesterday, however I wish I had purchased a much better quality seat cover for my 2011 F-150 XL. I purchased the "AUTOKAY Gray Driver Bottom Seat Cover" from Amazon. The cover did not come with any holes pre-cut for the lumbar knob or trim screws and tabs. The long plastic pieces that are supposed to snap onto the metal bars and hold the cover in place did not want to stay on the back or passenger side very well at all. There was no padding attached and the cover did not come with any installation instructions so I am very glad to have found this video and that I watched it first and knew I needed to order some hog rings and pliers. I will also add that in my case I did NOT need to remove the seat from the lower frame/rail to swap out the cover. It wasn't really a bad job in large part thanks to this very informative and helpful video.
Thank you for your kind encouragement! It's an unfortunate truth that not all seat covers are created equal, but we're so glad to hear that our video helped make your project easier!
You did an excellent job. You're very talented and make me feel guilty for not doing mine.
An excellent video. She does an outstanding job showing the process from start to finish. Thanks for taking the time to show others how. A real blessing!
Sure do appreciate the encouragement Dean. Thanks for posting!
Thank you! I was able to replace my power seat motor in my F-150 with this video. Saved me $965

Extremely well done tutorial. Very articulate and every bit of every step is explained.
We're glad you enjoyed it, thanks for watching!
Absolutely awesome video. Explain things in a manner that none of the others had. Everyone else doing similar videos could take lessons from you on how to present, explain what they are doing and showing the work.
Thank you @KDStocking ! We appreciate your post.
Wow great detail, step by step, I amazed you did all that and only needed 1 band aid. two bloody thumbs up

Your talent makes it look easy. Thanks for sharing this information it was very helpful.
Thanks for the kind feedback!
When you're cutting the holes in the fabric, you can use the old seat cover as a template before you apply the new cover to the foam seat.
Thank you James!
Great job!
Keep up the good work!👍👍
Well done! You show so much patience and self control. That’s allot of work for a seat cover! My turn…uggh!

Great video.
Thanks for watching!
Really excellent, patient, detailed job. Hate to say it but I may be speaking for the opposite sex when I say I might have broken some parts and got a bit frustrated doing the same job. Great educational skills, you must be a teacher,
Thank you Spartan! It is definitely a challenge to not give into frustration! We're so glad you enjoyed the video, thanks for watching and commenting!
Awesome video!!!
Thanks Kyle, glad you enjoyed it!
You done a good job on that seat
Thanks Randy!
She made it look easy. I've got to do the same, same year. I know it's not politically correct. But a woman working on a truck is so hot. She's beautiful and confident.
Thanks for watching Andy! We think she's pretty awesome too. :)
Outstanding video! Always us a plastic interior trim tool set when removing plastic panels or covers of any size and shape. You can purchase them on Amazon or at any automotive parts store. These will help prevent marring or scratching plastic panels or covers.
Thanks for the input, Tim!
banger job, mate
Thanks @studdy68!

Totally would not want to do this,,, lot of work, you make it look doable, takes a highly skilled person like you to do this, but you gave a great anatomy of that very popular seat,,👍👍👍👍
Thanks for watching!
Wow did you just wake up one day and decide to do this, excellent grasp of the plastic removal, you r totally talented with those girly hands, ha..
You're very kind! We're a small family business, so when something needs to be done we dive right in. She is definitely talented! :)
Gracias 👍👍👍👍
You're most welcome, and thanks for watching!

You are very kind! We're so glad you enjoy our videos, and thank you for the encouragement! :)
You do not need to unbolt the lower part of the frame to do this. Just release the 4 long clips that hold the fabric to the upper frame. Neither the plastic trim around the rails when removing the seat from the truck. Otherwise great job👍
Thanks for the input, and thanks for watching!
great video!! have you ever replaced the Lumbar support for that same model?
Thanks @shanemeek2301! I don't believe we have.
My suspicion the third hole would be for the cooled and heated seat hardware.
Good suggestion Chuck, we hadn't thought of that! Thanks for watching!
I have an '09, but I'm part of the STX underclass, which includes no power seats. Are the disassembly instructions similar for my truck?
I believe that they should be similar! Naturally the process for disconnecting the power seat won't be needed, but the bolt placement should be the same. Thanks again for watching! :)
ohhh you skipped over the part I was watching for what about the lumbar dial and the 6way seat adjust how do you get those off.good battery /rag trick
Hi there! You can see the lumbar dial removal at 6:50. To remove the 6 way switch all you have to do is pop the switch cover off. Thanks for watching!
Getting ready to replace the front driver's seat pad on my 2011 F 150 XL. Wondering if anyone has done this without the hog rings and how it turned out if so. Thanks!
It turns out poorly. I had to lift the cover back up & put some new hog-rings on. They are needed to keep the cover secured properly otherwise it'll shift around over time & literally be a pain in the ass.
We agree with John!
Great, now where exactly can you FIND a seat bottom cover?
Hi Greg! We usually get them from eBay or an awesome vendor called the Seat Shop! Here is the link to their website: www.theseatshop.com
Thanks for watching!
Hi How did you take apart the lumbar adjustment knob?
It pops off. It's really hard to get off but it does come off. A big pry bar helps.
@@1ode2joy Thanks! yes it came off with some effort.
My quest is can the passenger pad and cover be switched with the driver side
Hi Jeremy, I'm not entirely sure! It seems like it might be possible. However, I did a quick Google search on it and couldn't find anything conclusive one way or the other. Thank you much for watching, and apologies for the delayed reply!
Did you ever find out, I’m thinking the same thing
you skipped the part of the knob removal for the lumbar support.
Thanks for the input!
where did you get the seat cover from?
Link to the cover we used is in the description. Thanks for watching!
I see the 10mm socket didn't run away
Haha! We have a working contract with our 10mm that details his agreement not to leave the premises. :P
Cat Cameo at 12:21
Haha you're right! Great eye!
Where do I buy it from?
You're so damn cute and wholesome 😊
Thanks!
